That's not a void. After there was problems with headsets coming loose on these bikes they started gluing in an inset for the headset top cap to screw in to, instead of using a normal compression plug. So the gap you see is between that inset and the fork, not a void in the carbon layup of the fork steerer itself.
I really enjoy watching these builds. Always learn something. Which brings up a question: what protects the rear brake line that goes through the bottom bracket from being rubbed by the crank shaft? Also what if a person wants to change the handle bar height after the fork steering tube has been cut?
Pues que deberías de cambiar los latiguillos del freno , mas que nada por que quizas no tengas margen , y lo del cable del pedalier , una vez montado la caja de pedalier queda por debajo y no roza , ya que el eje de pedalier va dentro de la caja . 🎉
Hey, what headset spacers are you using please? I've just bought the Black Inc bars and I'm looking for something that sits flush with the stem Cheers!
I noticed u only used one 3mm spacer, on the drive side, installing the crank. Is that correct? Sorry for my question…its because im gaving to many chain drops moving from the smal ring to the big one….
@@schuey999 You said in an earlier comment that you didn't agree with such expensive bikes & that surely a 5yr old one at a much less cost is your preferred. What's changed your mind?
@@tman5634 Bike shortage and inflated prices of used bikes. The 2016 bike I really wanted was going to cost over $6k used with rim brakes, and I couldn't be sure about the integrity of the frame. I always thought those would be lighter. Guess the aero aspect adds some weight to it 🤔🤔. My 2010 CAAD8 is 7.7kg fully dressed and still plenty of room for improvements.
Hi guys, in the force rear calliper was there a red compression fitting or a silver one ? I was trying to replace my brake hose this week and I have a red stealthamajig at the lever end and a silver one at the calliper end. I can’t find the silver ones anywhere online 😆. Any info on this , can I use a red stealthamajig on the calliper end too?
This bike was really easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
may I ask what is the size for the bike? also, I've been seeing several ostro build recently, why is this one quit heavy? Do you think I can make the bike weight within 7kg with red build?
Dam there is a lot of voids visseble in the steerer tube after the cut. I would not feel very safe in a full speed descent knowing my steerer tube has voids this big
there's a black sword there, routing the brake cables. when you wear it. rests on the shaft tube. 3mm gap in total. and of course when you put the handlebar on it goes up almost 0.5mm. so don't worry
The void is not in the steerer tube, it's between the steerer tube and the compression plug that is bonded into the steerer in this case. On whatever you're riding it's likely an expanding plug, that may or may not reach low enough to support your steerer tube in the stem/headset area, but everyone seems to be fine with that. I guess some people just watch Hambini for the cheap shots, but now they're all "experts" too.
According to factor site, "It can easily be built up to below the UCI 6.8kg weight limit" . but then real world weight is 7.7kg... at this prices, i think i´m keeping my 6.7kg supersix of 2017
Ich könnte Stundenlang einfach nur zu schauen.. Top.....

For a component like the fork this is really bad and dangerous. I would not spend my money on a 4k frame knowing the steerer has voids.
