Someday I would consider moving to Roanoke. Been there several times on vacation and always stay with Chris and Jane at the Black Lantern Inn. Love visting Mike and Robert at Salvage Dogs. I'll keep your realty info handy!!
Browning, Roanoke is amazing! Glad that you've had the opportunity to visit the area. Whenever you visit again, please reach out! we'd love to join you at Salvage Dogs for some antiquing!!!
Cute, we are going to be looking in that area., as soon as next spring..... food/ restaurants ... are not important. Markets with holististic and organic independent cosy cofree spots and book stores.. are. very important And sidewalks. Huge. Community... and historic charm are what we are about.
We moved here in 2000 and picked a place in Cave Spring arear due to the schools, I see someone called out Hunting Hill which is nice but way over price for what you get as this place is more of a status than anything else. I live foot of Bent Mountain on 4 acres and a 2800 sqft ranch style home for less than 200k at the time. So you can find bang for your bucks if you don't get in a hurry and take your time. We rented an apartment until we found our place and yes you will pay more month to month but money well spent, only rent for 3 months before buying a house.
How crazy, rates were not supposed to hit 4 percent till first quarter 2023. Mortgage rates now over 5 percent and climbing fast. By 2023 interest rates will easily be over 6%. I’m checking listings and people are still paying over asking. Hello McFly! Prices will adjust down as rates climb. If you have the cash, wait.
@@RoanokeVirginiaLiving After GM closed the plant I was working in I moved to Las Vegas. Will be 67 this year and plan to move back. With my GM pension and Social Security the only thing i will look for is health care. Both my parents are buried side by side in Salem.

It may not be one of the “most popular” however it’s definitely an affordable neighborhood since homes there are selling for a median price of $210,000, which is under the overall Roanoke Valley median sales price of $290,000
Too much of you two talking to camera. Its called show don't tell. Even with the goofy bow tie you two are not that interesting. Or you two make these videos & like to re watch yourselves.

Saludos Kris and Hal! Thank you for sharing! Love walking on the Greenway
Yes, greenways are a huge asset and benefit for us in Roanoke. So convenient 👍
The Daleville, Troutville, and Blue Ridge areas sound so nice!
Yes, we would definitely agree. We kinda feel like the entire Roanoke Valley is a really nice place to live

Sounds great! Sounds like Old Southwest plus Grandin/Wasena areas might what you're looking for when you make that move. We'd love to help!
Let us know how we can help you create that plan (sooner than later) for that smooth move early 2024 👍👍
Thanks for answering. Blessings
You bet - let us know if we can help in any other ways

Would you mind telling me where is located the Large Animal Veterinarian Hospital?
We have quite a few amazing animal hospitals here in the Valley. What would be your criteria for the place you want to work ?
Lived in Cave Spring and went to Cave Spring High in early 1970s.
Thanks for sharing with us! Where do you live now? Still in Virginia?

What kind of glasses neck holder is that?
It’s a customized leather one that Kris bought for Hal. We’ll have to dig a little for you to answer that one.
So sick of the unbearable summer heat in TX makes me tempted to trade that for some snow even when I have very little experience of driving in it
You'd be fine. We don't get it that often and lots of folks just hunker down for a day or two while it melts. Then, we're all good to go.
Humid as hell in Roanoke!
Where are you walking for this video?
We are on the Greenway between Wasena area and South Roanoke. Close to The Green Goat, Wasena Taproom and Hang10.
Yea in salem
So I can find a house near the Hospital please.
