It's absolutely Wild hearing that mention of people remembering nickel and dime stores 5 and 10 cent stores as growing up in the 1930s. Here we are in the year 2022 hearing that is absolutely surreal. Also cool at the same time though.

So sad that most of this is gone.
Who’s the female news reporter? Can’t remember her name!

      Some great memories there.
Shopping with my mom and grandparents.
My cousins lived in walking distance of Crossroads mall and I would spend the night with them.
We would hang out at the arcade and go to the movies.
Not a care in the world.

@@nickhill8612 I heard they recently opened up an abandoned room inside Crossroads and it was the old arcade and all of the equipment was still there

Her name is Kathy Thornton. She was a reporter for WDBJ-TV Channel 7 in Roanoke, Virginia at the time. Later, she was the hostess of a weekday afternoon feature program on WDBJ-TV called "Panorama."

its sad that Woolco was Kmart and the design that it had was still known until BJ's took the design from the old store
