    That’s so interesting. I had been to Loch Ness a few years ago and loved the whole area. Scotland is amazing. And my first postcard was with the Nessie monster in front 😀

      When it comes to the weather Scots are eternal optimists. Blue sky and 18c we are firing up the BBQ , dressing in shorts and t shirts and installing decking.

      Saw a tv documentary loooong time ago. Older archeologist for looking for Nesse all his life made one final sweep of the Loch and gound her and her babies corpses. Since then no one has said they’ve seen her. Who Knows???! She was a plesiosaur ☺️

    I think all the war in the ocean caused the monster to fled to lochness lake and that's why when the wars over its rarely spotted again

    Loch Ness translates to roaring one. Possibly this is the legendary make out spot in the Scottish Highlands that turned into a legendary monster.

    As this is a video about the Scottish highland I just wanted to mention Finn Creaney, He posted videos about outdoor lifestyle and had a channel called ‘the wildcat way’. he went missing whilst hiking around Loch Naver in March last year and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
    Sorry if this comment is unrelated to the video but wanted to take the opportunity to spread awareness of his disappearance in the hope the he could be found.

    Many people are forgetting about old age like if Nessie was spotted 800 years ago and if you search up a pleasaurs life span it come up it be 50-100 year and people reported seeing Nessie drew 1943 to 2023 it either a hoax or a group of them but that just my theory tell me what think..

    It should be mentioned that the reason these tales have existed for so long is because of how deep and how murky the water is.
    If you took the water from every lake (Loch) in Scotland it wouldn't fill loch Ness and there are a LOT of lakes.

    There's a lot of stories in Europe of saints banning (but not killing) snakes or dragons. This is usually used as a metaphor for Christianisation and banning of the pagan traditions.
    Maybe the origin story of Nessie is one of those stories

    wanna hear something CrAzY? In North America we have a creature that resides in a body of water called lake Champlain that is partly in Vermont and Canada! Well the description is identical to the Loch Ness monster and here's the CrAzY part the Loch Ness and lake Champlain used to be connected back before the land broke apart into separate continents!

    Loch ness its self (the pond) is not that old.
    In times where dinosaurs roamed , it was just a highland. No Water in sight.
    So realistically nessie makes no sense and is just a tourist grab
