Prodigy was in his feelings on that. These stories about people showing up with a bunch of people to deal with one person always sound crazy to me and was always looked at as cowardly back in the day, but now it's glorified (SMH!). You are supposed to deal with that person 1v1, no help. Everyone from the 70s and 80s knows that rap wasn't about "really living that life." It was about bragging, clowning someone and/or about what goes on in your neighborhood.
Now, everyone wants you to "be about that life" if you rap. What's next... movies? Fictional movies will be trashed if the writer did live that life? Rap, just like movies, was always entertainment.
