She really told about how she was a thinking type and not a feeler type here, when she says women cry to manipulate a man; a thinking woman might think to do that, but a feeling woman will cry because she feels deeply and the feeling is strong.

Jungian theory would indicate that thinking and feeling are one-in-the-same. That confronting reality as it comes and exercising your freedom of will does not necessitate an atrophy of feeling. But certain psychological fragmentations derived from behavioral sinks and systems devoid of spirituality will allow people to be convinced away from their willpower over that which torments them. As if they were possessed by something outside of their control. I can assure you, the willpower locked within the palace of your physical body is, indeed, the one in charge. If only it remembers.

@@natemathews3780If we talk about the physical body remembering it has "locked willpower" within it, then we're no longer talking about the mind and its processes of thinking and feeling, expressed as stacked according to dominance of use in an individual. With thinking and feeling, Jung stresses that the two functions are related but not identical.

@@mortasha4653 that’s the mind/body problem which is one of the fundamental question of psychology. My view is that the separation between the physical and psychological is an illusion. There’s no difference because the psychological is the product of physical biological processes interacting with the environment. You cannot manipulate one without effecting the other.
Trauma for instance exists physically in the body and wisdom is also embodied. It’s well-established that trauma interferes with the ability for individuals to access the wisdom inherent in feeling their bodies, like a sense of will or control. That’s what “locked willpower” is in this context; trauma inferring with the inherent capacity to exercise emotional self-regulation, feel in control and view a situation objectively. Treating trauma is often about retraining the brain, ie literally physically rewiring well trodden neural networks through challenging and reframing unhelpful thinking processes. Psychedelic therapies fast track this process because they induce a temporary state of physical neurogenesis, or the conditions for maximum neural plasticity. The brain literally grows new neural pathways and synapses in response to changes in habitual thought and emotion.
Also the well established effects of both stress and mindset on physical health provides further support for the idea that mind and body are not separate. So does the fact that diet, exercise and decent social relationships are the best general prescription for almost any chronic illness whether it’s physical or mental.

Also your point about thinking vs feeling women is very good! My early childhood trauma interfered with the development of the abilities to feel my body and recognize/process my emotions and taught me to take refuge in my thoughts. Feeler types are a mystery to me. Other women may find that their traumatic experiences interfered with their ability to think while enhancing their ability to feel deeply.

I agree. It could be she doesn’t really understand emotions or hates the emotions her gender show. Some women use their emotions to control men while others don’t.

Concerning the multiple persons in us, I've realised that within me - a good polyglot if I could say so modestly -, for situation or mood, I have a different language-speaking person: for casual stuff, it's either my mother tongue or French (bilingual); for religious thoughts, mother tongue; for discipline, German or Japanese (as a military of the Meiji era); for poetry, Chinese (classical if possible even); and the list goes on... As the saying goes, "you are as many persons as you know languages", truly

When she is talking of the spirit mediums, the riders and the horse of Legbe, she is talking about the island of Haiti not Hawaii.
That is an Afro-Caribbean ritual not a Polynesian one.
