I think its Venice Beach just north of the Venice Pier where the walking and biking path (no cars) is mostly adjacent to houses, not commercial vendors. Farther north, there are lots of vendors. As a reply to brian 1114 post I describe why the think its Venice Beach, not Manhattan or Hermosa Beach. Hint: Notice the top of a pine tree in the background. Manhattan and Hermosa are largely pine tree free. For instance, Hotchkiss Park, at 4th St and Strand St, has many pine trees. That's actually in adjacent Santa Monica, but they've got lots of pine trees, too. It seems that in times past, the popular idea of how to landscape open space was to plant evergreen pine trees. Nowadays, the thing is Palm trees. On Street center dividers, commercial developments, apartment complexes: nothing will do but Palm Trees. The hoot is, that these Palm tree species are not even native to this area. They are so common now, that they might as well be listed as native plants! Well, there is one Palm tree native to the western USA, it's the Washingtonia Filifera, a tall Fan Palm, but it is found in inland Desert areas. I don't know if they ever grew in LA County, or in nearby Orange or Ventura Counties.

Sam, I can't believe you went out to the beach from outside of your house in L.A. on this video during your quarantine until you're doing like your favorite lower body workout with one of your best friends, Katie Austin for about like many minutes on your session with her to finish to do some quick exercise to stay strong after that, I hope your mom will be proud of you, but I know you're from Chicago, Illinois, you're gay, so your muscles and abs are sexy and you're speaking the language of Spanish at the time for awhile, because I'm very proud of you and I want you to be healthy!!

Well, Oops for Sam. He's just "raw" for this video, I'm sure. I was thinking: Sam arrived in LA too late for the mini 4.5 magnitude earthquake we had on September 19, 2020, at 11:40pm. I wonder what it would have felt like up in he Towers of Circa LA? A bit of rock'n and roll"n I'll bet. Not a very nice Welcome to LA. But, thankfully, he missed it, I assume. If you do a google search on the USA Today article entitled: "Southern California jolted by Magnitude earthquake", there is more there about it. I felt it. It began with a disturbing sound. Sort of an odd deep growling noise. My upstairs tenant told me that it has been a long time since an earthquake scared him like this one did. There is that awful suspense when an earthquake begins, and you wonder: "Well, is this a bad as it's going to get, or is this just the beginning of something really bad about to come." Happy to report: No damage done by this quake. Just slightly stressed out.
@@bobsocalifguy264 If Sam can't deal with a 4.5 then he is in the wrong place - LOL. I remember one time visiting my sister in Hollywood when there was this 4.5 in the valley at 7:30am. I had such a hang over and I heard this loud rumble like it was from a commercial truck next to our building and I was so annoyed. Then my sister and her boyfriend come flying out of their bedroom telling me it was an earthquake and I needed to get up and out to the front door. I noticed the paintings on the wall were not moving so I just put my head back down on the couch. It stopped 20 seconds later.

Enjoying his Cali life, and meeting people, too. Home sick? These days with a cell phone with "Face Time", you're never far from whomever, where ever. Relocate? Prolly not. He's got a three month Gig, helping to get the good word out about Circa LA apartments. He never said anything about giving up his apartment in Chicago. I tried to figure out just what beach he's at in this video. My best guess: Venice Beach. Reasons: There's a top of a pine tree in the background above the roof tops. Venice Beach does have a few tall pine trees here and there on streets just inland from the sand. Lots of people (Venice is busy even on weekdays) walking and bicycle riding, and the building style is more typical of Venice. Venice Beach would be about 14 miles west of Circa LA where he's staying. Venice Beach is closer than the South Bay Beaches of Manhattan Beach, and Hermosa Beach, which are the other nearby beaches that could be where he's at for this video. Where the people are walking does resemble the Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach Strand.
