Fun Fact: Regarding getting up on your horse from the ground without a saddle, I once took a lesson on vaulting where the instructor stated the way the little kids launch themselves on the back of the horse from the ground is by swinging their heads down while swinging their butts and legs up. Contrary to popular belief, the head is typically heavier than the butt and acts as counter leverage to gain enough height to be able to swing a leg over. I was never able to do it. Maybe my head-to-butt weight ratio is different than a little vaulting kid's. There's also the fear factor. Having the courage to allow you're head to point towards the ground while your lower body swings up onto the back of a 1200 animal takes either a lot of guts or a lack of forethought.
I grew up riding, mostly bare back. I was an expert at getting on a critter. I agree about the head countering the lower body. The fear was not an issue. I practiced hanging off the side like an Indian at a gallop so doing it standing still was no problem.
What the ... heck. u are a genius. I have a 9 year old that absolutly wont go back when im riding on the ground wes doing what im do. But this trick ... i will try it cause i wont fight with him wo is more powerfull

Rib riding is an archery technique. Shoot arrow under the horse while clinging to the side at a full gallop. Try it! 😂
Beautiful paint horse
Wise words pilgrim.
Loved the opening!! 😆 Going to work on backing on my gaited mare. And see how quickly my filly, that backs pretty good, can pick it up too! ❤️
Another great video Carson! By any chance is that horse from Indian Head Ranch? Brand looks familiar.

When I laugh, I learn better!!! I’m going to focus on this soon with a young friend. Thank you
