- Time for some extreme decluttering in this weeks video! I’m headed back down to my storage area in my basement. It’s been a year since I first decluttered and I’m ready to take my second pass in this room. Not only will I be Decluttering I’m going to do some rearranging and organizing to make better use of the space ❤️

Dear Jodi, thank you for giving me a smile on my face - I need it! My dad is in the emergency last night. He was operate all night and now he is in a coma. It’s been very hard so it’s very nice to watch your video and just relax with you.

I think the well needs a name. Between the water being turned off during the window washing and now it spewing, it is showing a personality. Wally the Well? Spewy? Whaley (thar he blows!)? I was able share my teeny tiny stockpile of laundry pods with a friend. Free for me, saved him money, felt SO good! I'm already turning into the toothpaste friend, since it's the easiest thing for me to get for free from CVS. I have $25 in CVS rewards for next month. Yay!

Where has that year gone? I can’t believe it was that long ago when you started decluttering and organising in the basement. Maximising the use of your shelving was genius. You are fantastic to share your “store” with family, friends and charity. Yes I totally understand the feeling of nearly bursting with happiness when you can help someone out and they are so grateful. The space you cleared is unbelievable, take a bow 🙇♀️ and well done 👏 EJ is adorable and I can’t believe he’s 2. I can’t get over how big Clarke is getting 🦮 Donna is great cleaning upstairs and I think it’s called body doubling. I laughed when I saw all the beer bottles in the fridge. I like how you go back to declutter areas that you worked on before🤗 a woman's job is never ending. I do the same thing, I find space to store things instead of getting rid of them...😅🤗
I’ve started “spring cleaning” this week. I scrubbed and reorganized my laundry room/stock pile room. Next weeks goal is my kitchen. Thanks for keeping me motivated!

Im a newer watcher/subscriber and i have been declittering and re organizing our home. I deep cleaned and decluttered my sons room a couple of weeks ago. Ive cleaned/decluttered our kitchen today tomorrow im tackling my husband and i room. Im also going to start doing the cash stuffing to help us with spending and saving.

Wonderful transformation! If you don't already have a wood comb I recommend one. Wood combs don't cause as much frizz for wavy and curly hair. :)

But I’ve never heard of a wood comb
We are getting ready to do this, we moved in last may....but the basement needs a total redo...we can't find our floors, overwhelming is an understatement. Do what you can...come back when you recharge.
I enjoy your decluttering videos, I have started decluttering my basement as well, but my husband and I have started priming and painting our old Michigan basement walls to brighten it up. One section and wall at a time

Thought for your 2 bins without lids. What if they went in the open area in front of your stock shelves and you could put your couponing items there until you have a chance to put them away on the shelves ?

I think the bookshelf is perfect as extra storage for your soaps. Why not keep it for that?
Also check if your area has a restore or a habitat for community place they will take broken shelves and tables and people will take them and repurpose them so they don’t end up in landfill. I hope this helps

Oh Jodi, you're basement declutter was fantastic. I bet it feels so good to get all that stuff out of there. I'd been storing donations in a corner of my bedroom. I finally took it out yesterday. I love how the room feels now. It just feels lighter.

You always make me smile! Having a hard time keeping all the rooms (living room and kitchen) clean after removing the Christmas decorations! I'm doing it though! I also managed to declutter 4 out of 5 shelfs in my hallway (linen) closet. I wish I had the storage your house has, but it's the only closet I have (one bathroom and no closet in there) so a lot of my stockpile (feminine products for my daughter) is housed in there. Almost the entire top shelf, (yay!) I'm glad she doesn't have to spend money on that! Going to keep pressing forward!

This gives me so much hope. I agree that when you go back to areas again that you do get rid of things that you couldn't before. I have decluttered a lot on the first floor but am dreading the basement. 15 min. a day makes a big big difference. Just need to apply it to the basement! OMG! 🌞

That workbench... How about to put it in the middle of the room and use it as a station to put your bags on while packing up all things you couponed. You might be able to put those night stands under it and perhaps a trashcan besides it.
And One other thing... If you put some kind of area rugs (you can find some for free at Facebook marketplace or a local giving page) on the floor it will feel a bit nicer and might hinder stuff to accumilate all over the place.

Oh wow, this was an awesome video. I don’t have anything I want to declutter but I love watching you organize. That’s just my favorite ❤ Its so cute seeing your daughter get excited about working around the house as you work. For whatever reason I don’t like wipes, I prefer a rag and hot water with Clorox. I love your stash of couponed items and the basement. Not very many basements in our city but when we were stationed at the Presidio of San Francisco before it closed, we loved our basement. The kids had their TV set up and all their toys. ~ Janet 😘

Yes basements are in pretty much every home in Michigan, but I know not all areas have them. I prefer cleaning with a rag as well but the wipes are convenient for quick wipe downs 🥰

I remember when the kids were little how hard it was sometimes, and I look back now and scratch my head on how I managed to make ends meet. These days I've minimized so many things we used to use, and it seems like I still wind up spending more each month than I used to.

Hi! Fantastic job, as always! When you are looking for another idea for the weekly videos, maybe consider painting the cinder block wall with some happy color you love. A coat of paint soothes the soul!! It is not necessary, it would just be to create happy places for you and it would make all of your couponing loot just pop!!! You rock, Jodi!!!!!

I'm hoping to get our garage cleaned out this winter. My FIL passed away right before Christmas so my hubby has been busy with all of that. Hopefully by the end of February we can get started and finish by spring.

So my daughter bought me a cricut for Christmas. I am not a decorator but I am willing to try after watching videos. I have taken a few of the items I have at home and have added vinyl and flowers to them. It does feel good to spruce up what I already have at home.

Wow....a year ago you started this basement. Seems like 2 weeks ago! What a great thing that you have done for your family with giving them what you get for free. I try and do that with our local food shelf...not only things I get for free but try to buy extra's to donate. It does make you feel good! I have to revisit my storage/craft room this Feb. It is going to be quite the job but I am ready for it! Thanks for sharing and have a great week!!!

Yay!!! Great progress! I’ve been converting the closet under the stairs into my laundry/cleaning supplies stock pile. I put in movable shelves between the studs from left over wood. Gave it a good clean out and tossed like 6 bags of garbage out. ( really old clothes and decor that were beyond usable) Tomorrow’s task is to put in a kitty door into the door and my cat’s litter is getting moved in there. Finally out of the bathroom! The few people who have seen my stockpile are blown away. I’ve been able to help a friend who works part time with my abundance. Yay! All the best!! Hugs, Em ❤❤❤

Love the progress! I’ve been going through some bins in my basement the last couple of days as well and I freed up a couple already. For the bins with no lid you could put a system in place to use them in your kitchen or near the top of your stairs to temporarily hold your couponing items when you bring them home after you’ve shot your video. Then once the bin is full, you could empty it and put the items away on the shelf in the basement stockpile.

Good job! I have been decluttering a little everyday because when you’re in your 70’s you do it while you can. I plan on doing the basement in the spring because my basement is too cold to work down there now. You know how cold Michigan basements can be! Keep up the great job!👍🥰💜

Great job! For your sump pump you might want to look into a backup that does not run with electricity. My husband installed a water backup (uses water pressure) so if we lose electricity it will still drain properly. It's a great thing to have to save your basement from flooding.
Yes we have a battery backup on the sump pump. That’s most likely why we’ve never had many water issues. Even the backup has failed before though 😊
