Thanks for this. My wife helped me bust this out in an hour and a half tonight. Easy, fun build.
Cant wait to paint it.
This was the first foam core building I made, and the 3rd overall. Thank you SO MUCH for making these templates free. It really helps for beginners like me dabble with this stuff.
He has risen once again!
Wow its my favorite warhammer youtuber commenting on my second favorite youtuber!
I dont think anybody mentioned this, but your ruler is hilarious.
next frame - bandage on the thumb.
What does it say it went by to fast for me
@@brickunleasher7631 something like, 'dont cut your fucking finger off'
Half way thru the vid i notice a plaster on our friend Trent’s thumb!!
Dude, you’re the Bob Ross of 40k.
Wow, has it been a year already? Time for a new video!
Miscast Terrain nice!
Miscast Terrain love your content! What models do you use? Like what game are they from and where can I get them if u don’t mind?
Very good video- content and production. I love the reflecting at the end. Great ending.
I like the fact that you included love on the list of materials for this project.
Going to try this later today. I hope I can make my stuff right angular too!
Jesus that is so cool. I like the way you explain things mate. Very simple and laid back. Keep it coming. Thanks 👍
Thanks! More to come!
Thanks for your videos!
I had the "Superglue melting my foamboard"-issue. Then I tried gel-superglue and it worked just fine.
To speed up the drying process of PVA you could also drop small amounts of superglue right into the applied PVA before putting the parts together. Works really nice ;)
Thanks! Super glue is strange, I have a gel version that does melt foam, but you can also buy foam-safe superglues now too. I now use PVA glue for this stuff and pin it in place with sewing needles while it dries. PVA glue has a bit more flex which I like and tends to last longer with lots of use and abuse. Good tip with the superglue, thank you!
Loved this going to use it with small tweeks for my Menoth board
Hi. Thanks for the tutorial. I used the template for my 1/12 scale models and it is awesome.
I really like your roof idea.
Love your channel. Awesome builds. If you need templates to detach more cleanly, a heat gun on low can separate the glue easier.
Wow cool tip, I'll give that a go! Cheers :D
Nice work!!!
Thanks for the video, I'm giving the hobby a go and this is great for what I'm trying to do!
You're an artist! And I'm a subscriber!
love it dude give me inspiration to make my own, making cardboard ruins right now
Amazing! Hope to see more videos!
Woah... this dudes good, no way I can make that in a day
LOVE UR VIDS AND TEMPLATES
"EXTRA SHINGLY" For that alone you get a like :D
wow, man- you are amazing. I just discovered your channel.
Don't cut your fucking finger! Hahahah love the ruler.
Please do more you are my favourite
Looks quite cool, but arent the shindles way to huge? They are bigger then the miniatures,.. thats the only thing I would tweek.
Yes certainly too big. I can't remember if I address it in the video but that decision was made to save time. On my houses I make now they're much closer to scale. You can check out my house template on my itch.io in the description if you want something more to scale. It's $5 tho. But I talk about scale a lot there. Hope that helps :)
Awsome tutorials, subscribed!
Hell yeah!
i love this guys videos its a shame he is not bigger... BUT WE CAN CHANGE THAT
Nice vid - not sure where abouts in .au you are, but any tips on where to find foamboard downunder?
Fellow Aussie here. Officeworks, Spotlight and Lincraft supply foam core in the 5mm variety
My local lincraft, spotlight and Kmart (in the craft section with the cardboard) all stock it. Kmart has been the cheapest by far. I've also bought it online cheaply also.
Thanks!
Of course Kmart - what DON'T they sell!!
Any tips on how to stop the base from warping?
Yup! Apply PVA glue to the underside of the base. A cross going from each corner is likely to be enough.
Miscast Using thin sheets of XPS foam is a great idea too.. it doesn’t warp - even with heaps of glue
need more graveyard and stuff mate
Love your vids, any certain place I can get other templates like this?
I'm not really sure, I started making templates because it was easier than listing dimensions in videos. If you search for 'papercraft terrain' you might find some stuff that can be adapted for thicker materials like foamcore and corrugated cardboard
what program do you use to create the templates you use to make buildings?
Drew Davis Adobe Illustrator :)
Miscast Terrain thanks so much man
the realest youtuber. in the time since the last video i came out as a girl.
i should really get around to actually making one of these projects... i'll try to get it done before you do your next video XD
did we really need to know this on a video about terrain
+Beren, my guy. Relax. That was just to illustrate the long amount of time Miscast takes with his videos.
Jbskif he honestly couldve compared it to anything else

youre a bit late to the party, but no the dudes a he
When is season 2 starting?
can we have the foam board spec please ? i need to know what is the good one to command on amazon . thanks
I use 4 different brands of 5mm foamboard, all acquired locally. I haven't found that much of a difference between them. Buy the cheapest and see how it goes :)
Purchased
I know people are going to get mad, but is 40k like Dungeons & Dragons?

That's a very cool idea, I'll see what I can do

Does anyone know what models those are
Yes, me. They're Reaper Miniatures, from their Pathfinder range mostly
