The shots from the soccer field are probably some of my favorite from any DCS Cinematic. Something about military hardware surrounded by civilian infrastructure feels so surreal.

After finishing the other two ps2 ACs, I went down the real footage rabbit hole and had only just discovered the package q six sam incident literally yesterday. The timing is surreal. also cool vid💀
That was very intense just with the combat chatter alone It makes you feel like you were actually there and none of us could ever experience anything like that Hats off to that squadron especially stroke 3 and a moment of silence for stroke 4

Which, for the record, was about the time the Soviets were just getting their rear aspect only R-60 missile into service. The AIM-9L was first used in combat in 1981 on Tomcats during the Gulf of Sidra incident? And was later used to great effect during the Falklands war in 1982? and seeing how the Cold War was not over yet, Raytheon would have pumped them out in sufficient numbers by 1991 to equip most if not all US military fighters with all aspect IR missiles.

The strained "Stroke-4, status?!" gives me chills every time I watch. I just couldn't help but catch the very distinctive canards of AIM-9Js on some of the aircraft. Though, to be honest, for all I know they could very well be all-aspect AIM-9Ps. Just no way of knowing for certain.
