Just got to the "Revenge With BIG Sword" part, which I presume felt GREAT (Hate those Crystallians, especially multiple) and the whole 'Wrong Cave' thing. Damn I hope that turns into a bit with the Longship.
Your 'Chaos' build playthrough at the start just shows how versatile this game is and the revenge just shows how there is a solution to anything in this game, it just has to be figured out. It's just the figuring out and doing part I always struggled with.
I got through the first half(ish) with one style of playing and weapon but used a late game variation for the final difficult third of the game. It wasn't until playing through with subsequent characters that I actually found a way that totally suited me better in most situations. Although undoubtedly knowledge and experiance also played a big part in 'easier' following playthroughs.

I know what you mean and I'm really glad I did scramble mode, it showed me a bunch of fun stuff I might have missed
