I've been completely obsessed with this EP the last few days. It's an actual masterpiece! I get some IA vibes too, which I think is what made me fall in love with it initially. I was high AF when I first heard it and it was the closest I've ever come to a religious experience lol
@@andreluizcastro5163 Yeah, and I liked it. I just feel like the mixing/mastering on this project is superior which makes it "heavier" for my ears lol. Not to say that "amongst the low and empty" was mixed badly - not at all.
This EP is incredible. I'd love to hear the guy(s) that produced this do a Galactic Empire release one time. And 'Pain Remains' has a ton of great songs on it. 'Wrath' annihilates and I hear no one talking about it.
Winter is a take on Vivaldi’s “Winter” which is a nasty classical song. Also played in one of the John Wick movies when they are storming the Hotel lol
I have listened to them since 2019 but I have never listened to a full album from them, I only know a couple songs from Reclaimer, maybe a couple others that I have forgotten lmao but I love the heretic prevails and the catacombs

It’s Shadow of Intent, Infant Annihilator, Crown Magnetar, and Jason Richardson all in one go. It’s fucking crazy.
@@FurorAeternumXBLalso the classical influence is from synestia
I've been obsessed with it since the second it came out
Listening to death empress truly makes you feel like your having a journey to meet the grim reaper
I highly, highly recommend checking out Disembodied Tyrant's EP from 2022 called 'The Divine Stigmata'. It's almost as good as this one.
this EP is top-shelf, holy
The breakdown in "the poetic edda" is probably the heaviest sht I've ever heard XD Best EP this year so far
Did you check amongst the low and empty from signs of the swarm?

@@thal1 I sent a massage to Blake. I don’t know if he was kidding, but he said he did almost everything by himself
@@andreluizcastro5163 Dude is talented fs
EP of the year for sure
genres aside, this is some of the best metal that’s ever been made
Es jodidamente epico 🔥 Un saludo desde Bogotá Colombia 🇨🇴
Such an incredible EP, glad you checked this out!
Blake Mullens and Synestia is so underrated imo. They deserve all the praise! :)

I’m going to go see them in September at the Baltimore Soundstage ❤
The riff @13:14 in The Poetic Edda reminds me of one of the original Doom 2 tracks

you should check out music video for death empress, it just hits harder imo
You should take a listen to Disembodied Tyrants ep Divine Stigmata 🤘
I, The Devourer is my fav on the EP
Vocalist of disembodied tyrant was growling like this at 19 years old. Guy is like 21 or something now
If you haven’t checked out Shadow of Intent I highly recommend

Someone get that metaloreo dude some attention man he’s thirsty haha
