- Im Living on my boat “a liveaboard Bristol sailboat” in the Florida Key Islands and it’s my last day here so I’m single hand sailing from Key Largo to 7 Mile Bridge, Then to Port Charlotte.

Haha thaaanks :) it seems a lot of people are liking the guitar lol I was on the fence with it.
Should have stopped by boot key harbor. I'm on a mooring there on my Tayana 52. I have a ton of spare blocks on my boat. I would have hooked you up with a few. Got a few buddy's here with other boats here getting ready to head to the Caribbean in February.
I literally just learned how to drill out the rivets on the blocks and replace the sheaves for real cheap, I still would have stopped to say hi though if I knew u existed till now haha
My dad and brother and i went camping in the keys every winter maybe 5 years in a row, Islamorada BPK bahia honda, super cheap and super relaxing....Your videos remind me that i always wanted to get a sailboat and do what youre doing!

After about 15 years, the sun finally wins out on those nylon sheaves and they crack. Some can be disassembled and just have to have the actual sheave to replace, but a lot of them don't have bolts and can't be repaired.
I actually have this on my next video, I was able to drill out the rivets on the blocks and replace the sheaves for 15$ saved me almost 500$ so far

Yea nobody know how sentimental that song is to me or even that the guitar I play is the one she bought me that got me into guitar and I sold my better 1,200 dollar guitar jst so I could keep playing this one

I like your videos. I see improvement. Maybe point cameras down a little. Always see a lot of sky, etc. but lower things get cut off. Love your guitar!

You can replace the plastic sheaves within those blocks much cheaper than new blocks
Yuuup I just learned how to do that, they weren’t made to be fixed but if you drill through the casing u can just fix it with a nut bolt and washer, saved almost 300$

Hey man! Your channel is doing REALLY REALLY well! Well done! So awesome to see! I think a little tweak to your thumbnails could make a HUGE difference to your CTR: Up the contrast a tad, up the brightness a tad (except on the drone TN), and add just a slight bit of saturation (not too much). Its the addition of contrast here though that will greatly help your thumbnails!

@@OffgridOceanLife We grow faster when we grow together, and I hope you pay it forward. I've got a podcast coming out next month with a professional thumbnail designer, but in the meantime, assuming you're on a PC, right click your photo, click "Open with", click "photos", click on edit button (a little picture w/ a pen on the top left middle area), go over to the tab on the top with the little sun (that gets you to the color functions). I wouldn't recommend adjusting more than 2-4 on each and aim to get your "tint" to be more blue if the topic is sad, and more orange if the topic is happy.
Might I ask, what is your average CTR right now?
@@TheAudaciousPath awesome I’ll check it out, I’ll try it on a few and see if I notice any jump. At this moment the ctr is 6.8 but it jumps around and I jst improved all of them like a week ago and have noticed a slight tick up

I suppose you can only do what you can do but it is good to have spares.
U talking about spare blocks? I just learned how to rebuild them for 15$ rather than buy new ones for 140$

Plenty of marine salvage shops in Florida, buy spare gear there. While you're at it buy longer chain and put spare anchor in stern locker
Ehh I just fixed all 5 blocks for 100$, saved about 500$ but I could use more chain for sure

Bro, so great to see. I anchored out at Rodrigues key 25 years ago. Do they still have that weird bar there? It was wild back then. A shallow marina, trailer park and bar. The bar was great. They had a sign behind the bar that said no cussing on Sunday while church was in progress! They had church in the bar. Saw an OI 40 laying on it's side out there that went aground. Same for Key West. Anchored out by Christmas Tree Island. Spent almost a month there working on my boat at anchor. Makes me wish I was there again. Fair winds brother.
Ehh I couldn’t tell you if the bar was there or not, I only went on land once while I was there. Yea I was anchored behind that island for like a month at key west in my earlier episodes though I had a good time there for sure
I have no experience in it yet but I've heard of some that are 3D printing the sheaves and replacing that way you described drilling out the rivets.
What programs are you doing editing on?
I jst bought the sheaves for 14$ online it wasn’t to bad compared to the 150$ for a whole new block, I’ve been using davinci to edit :)
What design is the boat?
That island is full of rats! They are nasty at night.
