I had a crush on this guy for 4 years.

I even double texted him
I didnt realise i was chasing him until after I bought his work n told him.
I felt like i liked him way more and was giving him way more energy.
So i told him i was taking a break from instagram.
😔 I'm so embarrassed.

Great advice Lanz. Love is about give and take and that doesn’t mean you give and he takes. It’s a shared loving experience and both need to feel they deserve each other.

I agree with everything but the sex quick thing. If he loses interest after that then he would lose interest two months or more after it happens. It means that was his primary interest in the first place. There’s people that get in relationships after that because they were on the same page regardless
That's a really good take on it!! I definitely see where you're coming from. I'm more so saying that you shouldn't feel pressured to jump into bed with someone in an effort to keep them around. In other words, allow yourself to form an intellectual and energetic connection with someone that's developed over time so that the physical aspect means so much more.
Many people have regretted getting sexual too soon because they find out later that the person wasn't who they claimed to be (or simply that the mystery and exciting build up is gone, which is the most fun aspect of the talking stage). I see your point too (not all people have the same intentions of course) - thank you for commenting your opinion!
This applies in friendships and family relationships too-give- as much as you are getting

I would be lying if I said I hadn't used these. I tend to feel more secure in my relationships when I look after myself first. Having something unique and individual to contribute to a relationship adds so much value.
YES!! People are too quick to define themselves by the different roles they play in the world, eg. "the wife," "the girlfriend," etc. When we focus on who we are as individuals, we won't feel that it's necessary to seek validation from others in order to determine our value.

If and until we are real, good enough women, we should not prefer a stupid film to a live huMan being calljng. Unless we are gemming ourselves, we should not behave, pretend and demand being seen as a gem. That is not automatic, but has to be practised and/or transformed from what ever traumatized and poor upbringing we got. Please don't encourage bad female behaviour and attitudes, those destroy men's view of and treatment of us serious, real but struggling women.
