    Holy crap. I'm 26. I'm a native English speaker who loves to write and use the language correctly and effectively. I have never once made the connection of "W" become "T" for the questions and answer. You blew my mind, hahaha.
    This was an extremely helpful video! It made it suddenly much faster for me to identify the question and answer pairing in Russian. So thank you for this!

    The translation of takoi might be "this one". So if someone asks you, "which one?" you say "this one". "Which tea" and in reply is "this tea". "this" might be the english word there. Great vid thanks

    One of the most useful descriptions of как and так as well as какой and такой I've seen so far. Been pretty confused but also just mixing them up, but this should help clarify things. They're words that seem to come up a lot that have previously left some sentences unclear.

    Thank you so much for the video, you explain everything so well and clearly! By the way, I wanted to ask, what does Насколько/Настолько mean? Are they similar to Сколько/Столько or not?

    • @learnrussiantravel
      @learnrussiantravel 6 лет назад +3

      Насколько/Настолько have the same stem as Сколько/Столько but the meaning is different.
      Сколько/Столько translate as How mush/That much.
      How mush does it cost? - Сколько это стоит?
      With the prefix НА these words obtain the meaning of a degree, extent,
      Насколько/Настолько - To what extent/To that extent
      How strong are you? - Насколько ты силён?

    i stil dont get the vowels. you write O but say A and otherwise all the time.
    do you have a video explaining it in more datail for me?

    • @learnrussiantravel
      @learnrussiantravel 6 лет назад +5

      Stress affects the way we pronounce vowels. Stressed position of vowels is called a strong position. O in strong position is pronounced like O and like A when unstressed

    Can you make a video explaining етот, ета, ето and ети, and when should I just use "ето"? Thank you!

    • @BobleeSwaggner
      @BobleeSwaggner 7 лет назад +2

      Cecilia Carlos the difference between этот, эта, это, и эти is specially within the case and gender of the following word. All those variants of "это" translates to "This" (these: for plural) in English, but in Russian there are different genders of words.
      There is also "тот, та, то, те", which translates as "that," though it is used less commonly.
      In the nominative
      Это чай Masculine, this tea
      Этa книга Feminine, this book
      Это пиво Neutral, this beer
      Эти книги Plural, these books
      Accusative:
      "This/That/These" now refers to the direct object:
      Я увидел этот/тот человек M, I saw THIS/THAT man
      Я читаю эту/ту книгу F, I am reading this/that book
      Я пил это/то пиво N, I drank this/that beer
      Я люблю эти/те кошки PL, I love these/those cats
      And these words morph through the other cases.

      McrsftHater there is a difference to Russians. Spaniard also have synonyms, but at the same time they mean something different. For example, unas bananas means some bananas. But if you say algunas bananas, it means some bananas, specifically, bananas that are specific.
      Unos libros - some books (in general)
      Yo leo unos libros - I read some books
      Algunos libros - some books (specific)
      ¿Sabes Don Quixote? Yo leeí algunos libros de él.
      Do you know Don Quixote? I read some of his books.
