    How Much coding did a VLSI engineer need: • Do VLSI Engineer need ...
    Hey guys in this video “VLSI All Jobs Explained” I have in-depth explained the differences between VLSI front end vs back end, all the Electronics job/VLSI job profile and their job responsibility . I have also taken the most important question about which VLSI domain is best for you, what is the skill needed for front end jobs and back end jobs. What personal satisfaction you will get depending upon these job profiles and lastly what your attitude to be during the beginning of your carrier in the VLSI industry. Moreover, I have also discussed different levels of RTL coding, the difference between behavioural vs structural Verilog code, the difference between Standard cell vs full-custom VLSI design, what is DRC/LVS. and what are the foundry jobs available in the VLSI industry?
    About myself: Hi, I am Rajdeep Mazumder, I did my MTech from IIT Delhi in Radiofrequency design and technology. Presently I am working as a hardware engineer with Intel. I am an engineering enthusiast daily meditator and want to build hardcore engineering teaching as my profession.

    Hi sir, just a clarification needed, from your explanation, does this mean Backend Verification is a different job role from Frontend design Verification OR are these two tasks performed by the same individual?
    Where does Validation come in?
    Is Backend Verification same as Post Silicon Validation asper your explanation?
    I am starting an internship in Post Si Validation but eventually I will like to switch to GPU or AI Hardware Verification Engineer full-time, how will I be able to leverage the experience gained in Validation role to the Verification role I seek?
    Kindly help sir, thank you.

    • @whyRD
      @whyRD  2 года назад +1

      Hi Johnny in some case and specially in small prototype or in startups a single guy can do all the task. And yes front end verification is a different job roe then backend..... Backend verification is not same as post silicon validation... Post silicon validation is actually a part when the product is ready ,which imply in some sence its doesnt come inside fronted or backend... And it termed as miscellaneous job profile..... As Job role in post si validation and verification are not same... When you start your journey for verification probably you wont be able to directly leverage your learnings... But yes again every profile need the circuit knowledge and which you can leverage later..... Having said everything please be sure this definition of job profile are not fixed and they dont have a proper def,and keep on changing person to person or situation to situation.

Yes going for VLSI training is great but before that heshould be confident on these fundametal subjects , electrical network, mos physics,digital electronincs and basic idea about analog circuit these are all included in btech syllabus and additionally a starting course on verilog will help him to do the training in most efficient way.

    Hey Rajdeep ! This information is really helpful !
    Btw I am 2017 BE graduate in electronics, after that I did job that is not related to VLSI
    Now m doing career switch in VLSI, for that I am considering to apply for MS in EC or will do certification course related VLSI !
    I am getting confused to what to do + which institute offers good Certification courses ?

    • @whyRD
      @whyRD  2 года назад +2

      Great to know that, if you can give forst priority to master ,and please form top colleges ... Or else you can go for training institute like maven silicon.. But i dont have any personal experience from there.. But as training need only 6 month ,just after training you will not find a great package ,it will be less then 50k ... But after a good master from top college ,your package will be a attractive one but you need 2 year for that
