What should i learn for SoC Design Engineer/ Physical Design Engineer? And what kind of projects will help me get hired as SoC Design Engineer / Physical Design Engineer?
Bro precisely, your channel will have a huge impact in the future and on so many freshers like me who don't know the right direction in this gigantic Industry. Waiting eagerly for the next two-month schedule 😅
I am currently a VLSI physical design intern at an IT company, and I have heard similar stuff from friends and engineers. Right now I am learning Tcl and designing automation flows like mentioned in the video. Still, I am looking forward to practicing front-end design next semester when I get to design a RISC-V processor in Verilog. Thank you so much for the video and the series! For an additional question, how would front-end engineers use C++? Our school uses C++ for projects to simulate multi-level cache and thread handling (computer architecture stuff) , but I am curious how it will be used at work.
I went to search for her on linkedin. Found out I'm already following her. Maybe I'm on right track with building connections. Thanks for your much needed guidance @Kritika. Looking forward to more such verdict @Rajdeep bro. Thankyou!
First I want to became a VLSI engineer but I got seat in signal processing at iisc Bengaluru, now i will became a software engineer on ai based services.
Sky could be salary limit for both the field .... only condition your interest .... if you love only coding have exposure to competitive coding go for IT , if you love coding and electronincs both , only basic exposure to coding is enough chose VLSI ..

Your question , gives a idea of making a video.. Oky in mean time see as a fresher basic requirement for all the profile are more or less same.... And probably few skill give you edge ovefother... For example if you are great with verilog , then probably you are best suited for front end or as you said soc design... I know you need more clarification , wait a bit let me try to bring a sort video about clarifying this. For experienced guy this answer is not for you
Learn Verilog, STA, Digital electronics, Analog Electronics, Semiconductor theory . Do projects on hardware modelling using HDL language such as Verilog eg, RISC or CISC processor using verilog etc. Have basics on computer hardware & any programming language .
Sir, I am an ece graduate and does not have a job currently..I am stuck in choosing my next step.I dont have prior knowledge in coding and my ece core subjects were a little tough for me while pursuing . Yes probably... But there is always a risk involve as %age of job conversion are little lower then top tier right... So if want a job you waited for 2-3 more year why to take that risk... If you are waiting dont see option B ... prime focus for top tier only or else by mistake you are not able to achieve it ... go for mid tier and and keep option opens like doing a vlsi training or some more good project or making networks in linkedn or applying to off campus

Yes yes and BIG YES... I have many colleagues who are... But probably you wont be starting your carrier with them but eventually with 2-3 year experience
try doing some 6 months course from good vlsi training institutes during your btech. Your chances of getting into top vlsi companies will greatly increase. You can also do after your btech if you don't want to do mtech. You can also give a shot before training by making your fundamentals strong and then take a good referal through LinkedIn who knows you might get lucky.
Any profile will pay you huge , if you could become the indispensable part of you organisation, with a focused effort on understanding what you are doing and why you are doing it …. And a ever learning attitude
Hi, there is a 9 month , 250000 rupees worth, vlsi chip design course offered by iisc bangalore along with talentsprint. Is this certification good for freshers ???
Remeber : if you have all the skils great , but its not neccessary to know all of them , if you know few its good to go
