As a Scot wise up Scotland the motorhomes bring money into the town they go and eat spend money locally just so sad they turn away tourism need to look to France and Spain to learn as usual some jobsworth has probably decided to block motorhomes 🥰
the problem is the sheer number of them visiting the west coast and islands. the council are also under pressure from local camp site owners who claim free/cheap over night stops will effect their business. so it's not as straight forward as that.
@@jasonlowes223 it doesn’t effect there business as more then not most motorhome are being driven by people that are on holiday and wouldn’t dream of wild camping or going off grid and only do camp sites The sites that are complaining are just being greedy and wanting every one to pay and go to there site. They need to look at there prices then more would want to use them x
Some unauthorised camping has left the national parks in a right old mess with litter and unsociable behaviour. I have witnessed both in Loch Lomond national park.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us all the information you do! Even when it seems negative! We are looking at Scotland again for this year having only managed the east coast last year and then having to terminate the trip early due to a breakdown. All these things you show us honestly really do help in planning a trip and we are super grateful! Thanks for all your hard work in getting this information out to us all, it really is appreciated! Safe travels! x
There has been a lot of mess left by some folks . You guys are brilliant, you show the towns and villages and give some history of the area ,and you spend money in the area. And you leave no trace behind. It’s a shame that some folks have spoiled the off grid parking .
Hi Guys, I missed you yesterday. However I was thinking if you. I promise. What a view!!!!!!!! Scotland really is beautiful 🎉 It's a terrible shame that it's so problematic to park. Still you've made up for it finding that lovely place❤❤❤
Hi Mark Lisa and Chicco aww wow wht a brilliant vlog loved the stunning scenery and the buildings looks such a lovely town for sure ....Beautiful park up with your very own private beach .... Your bikes are really lovely and love the new bag on the front for Chicco when weather warms up a bit he will love being on the bike... Love how Chicco sits up on his hind legs when you talk to him he is adorable especially in his bath robe and PJS bless him ...Take Care ...😊😊🐶🐕❤❤❤
Hi Lisa and mark thanks again for another fantastic video little chico looks so cute love all her little outfits she got thanks so much for sharing ❤❤👍👍👍
Hi Lisa & Mark, It looks beautiful there in Scotland, the view you have is stunning from your campervan. Have a lovely time in Scotland, looking forward to your next vlog, take care xx
Hi Lisa , Mark and little Chico, you have found some lovely spots to park, stunning views and Chico is so cute and it looks like he enjoys having a bath. enjoy your future travels stay safe and I am looking forward to seeing your next videos. all the best, Mildred. xxx
Chicco is such a lovely little baby, this was a real mixture thank you for showing us all around l hope you are right about the little shops and eating places being closed because they have been so busy so they can afford a holiday. See you soon night nights chicco happy dreams from Lynda ❤❤❤
Sorry Mark, Lisa' was right first time with the pronunciation of Burgh. There are hundreds of them both Burgh and Royal Burgh. Edinburgh, Jedburgh, Fraserburgh, Musselburgh just a few you have probably heard of.
If it had been a campervan in that space there would have been even less room as he was parked in the middle of the bay already. The issue is the width of the bay but the car should also have parked in a space designated for cars.
Great Vlog again guys loved Nairn ,we found it really hard to park in Scotland last year for free ,enjoyed your tour around Nairn ,nice to see Chicco having a bath take care up ther you three xx
Just left that area ( ish ) great stop at New Aberdour beach. Quiet there, bins too. Nothing there but piece and quiet. Also on your way down east coast. There is St Cyrus nature reserve. They leave loos open over night, they dont mind if you park down the bottom on level ground too. Most important is ... Dont turn left off the main road St Cyrus end ( really tight and step you would be in it up to your neck if you met someone coming up hill on your way down ) go towards Montrose. Turn left before bridge. Black wast there too. Honesty box on wall.
Thank you for sharing Chicco's bath time with us ❤ i miss my little Misha (Chihuahua) so much, seeing Chicco's adventures helps with the heartache xx 🏴 ❤
It was Great seeing you all as always. How lucky you've been with the weather this year in Scotland. I remember last year. 😮 See you soon Guys Until then love, hugs and kisses to the three of you ❤❤❤🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘🐕🦺🐕🌹🌹🌹💯💯💯
In our local town there used to be a multi storey car park, it had bays outside for high vehicles that couldn’t fit in the car park. It was ridiculous the number of times you went by those spaces and they’d have small low cars parked instead of the type of vehicles they were meant for. Fortunately the attendants would check and give them a ticket. That was normal parking for a Mercedes owner, they think they have a big car and have to have a big space, or they’ll take up two spaces!
There is also parking at Victoria Park, best along the far end beside the cliff path there is a toilet block there and plenty grass for Chico to run about.
Burgh is exactly as Lisa said it’s exactly the way you say Edinburgh not Edinburg. There are still Many royal Burghs in Scotland and I live in one. Where I live there isn’t much sightseeing but the view from my bedroom window is the whole of Glasgow and the mountains behind. I know Nairn well as my sister used to live up there in a place called Auldearn, she also lived further along that coast in a place called Cullen and also further along to Buckie. She is now a southerner and lives down Plymouth way. X love watching your vlogs especially gorgeous Chicco , I wish my Stanley could fit in a sink for a bath. Last bath I had was in Lancashire in a lodge last September. I’m disabled so showers with seats for me but my do I miss a bath. ❤ much love to you all 🏴

That burger bar has been closed for years. It’s a brilliant park up one of my favourites when going up north. I was thinking of it when you said you were in Fort William. Enjoy and did you notice the wee waterfall the other side? X
There is a law regarding 'camping' in car parks, road sides etc. 'Camping' means putting out awnings, tables and chairs etc.so is forbidden. Unfortunately there are people who ignore this and, as you say, spoil things for everyone. We won't mention black waste and litter? It's very sad that a small minority ruin things for the rest. The only ones that hang around chippies in every small town you go more than Mark are the seagulls 😂 Beginning to think you would have been best travelling in a chippy van, as at least that way you could make money, eat, see the scenery and be happy 😂 The highlands are lovely when the weather is good, even cold but clear is still nice for a wrapped up wonder. Nairn and beautiful cove beaches at some parts on the north coast there are lovely and in the summer if it wasn't for the rigs you can sometimes see out in the North Sea from some points or the daft sea windmills, you would think you were in the Caribbean. Well, on a few days of the year in summer anyway🙂. Being a native Scot but pretty well world travelled, I still like seeing people touring around the homeland and exploring the wonderful scenery, if not so much in summer as the overcrowding of the remote roads that are really not up to it isn't fun for locals or workers/delivery people. Thats why this time of year when its quieter is best for exploring and we do occasionally get lucky with clear winter days like now. You're "wee dug" Chico must have been in his element! Hi guys, we parked there last April to go on the Jacobite train and there was not overnighting so when we got back we didn’t hang around and spent our money elsewhere.
