I love this show angler West is not only full of incredible fishing places and scenery but helpful great at teaching new skills. This could be my favorite episode cause it's 2 people in an old boat hammering fish with the simplest gear the way I love fishing "kiss" keep it simple stupid lol. Thanks for putting this gem of an episode on the tube.
Thanks for the responses. I've been really impressed with the Sonic Baitfish. I did a show on Flaming Gorge for kokanee and they outfished the squidder 10-1. Just today I caught a chinook at the mouth of the Klickitat with a SBF and a few weeks ago I caught dozens of bass in Shasta and Oroville.
Great video. Thanks for posting on youtube as I often watch your show on my smart phone during my breaks at work and dream that I was fishing rather than having to work.Keep this quality fishing show coming!
Hi Pete: great video - thanks! I plan to try your spoon. Can you clarify - is the location of the video Port Angeles? Or is it farther up the Straits near Sekiu? Thanks!
I think he uses a 7ft g loomis spinning rod, probably a medium or medium heavy, and the reel is a Daiwa SS tournament, a classic old school reel with possibly the smoothest drag on the market, he has a RUclips channel and he goes in depth about his rod, reel, and line setup and everything he does, great guy

Right in front of the Marina in Sekiu Washington this isn't anywhere near Port Angeles. Hour and a half drive west from Port Angeles.
