Glad you liked it. I do stuff like that all the time. If it really makes me look stupid I edit it out, this was just minor but I'm glad I noticed it before I turned it on.
@@LSatch Yes they are 5% off. That doesn’t sound like the twice a year big sale you described. I am not a a hurry to purchase one. I’ll keep an eye out for it. Thanks again.
I've had the Wahuda 10" jointer for a couple of years, virtually identical to the Cutech. Main difference is it's got 4-sided cutters. Very happy with it.
I think they are the same company or one bought the other. I do wish they had the 4 sided cutters, my cutech planer does. The 2 sided are supposed to be easier to replace as I understand it. Sure beats my old 6”delta.
@@LSatch Yes, either way, carbide cutters are so much more convenient than blades, and the surface they create is superb. I chose a Wahuda planer next largely because it uses the same cutters as the jointer.
You definitely need to make yourself a better push block! Check out the one Jay Bates makes in his video "I'll never buy a push stick again." Thanks for sharing!!
I just ordered one a couple days ago. They have another sale going now, not sure when it ends. 10% off doesn't sound like a lot, but it is at that price! I got the 12" jointer and cast iron fence for less than the price of the jointer alone when it's not on sale.
I just received mine yesterday. 12" as well as the upgraded fence. Sadly the red protector was broken at the spring in shipping. Going to call support in the morning. Also, i made a mistake and removed screws from tne back (instructions say pre-installed on the unit in step 1) so i removed seemingly ones that connect to the motor. Now, the screws won't line up. Hoping it's all together not too much of an issue to get running.
Mine cost $603 on sale. I saved about $66. It was on sale again when I posted this video but I just checked and it’s no longer on sale. They usually have a sale around Father’s Day.
Been researching this brand planer. Thanks for the info!
@@scottbyrd2157 I love it. Thanks for sharing
Just ordered one! I think I will need to build a portable base for it.
That’s what I did. I need to do a follow up soon
Awesome video!! Love the putting the fence in upside down, totally something I would do.

Thanks for the video. How much was the sale price? Trying to determine what price point is a good deal.
Sorry but I really don’t remember. They’re on sale this weekend.

if you’re not in a hurry I think it’s wise to wait. I’ve used mine quite a bit lately and I still love it

You’re right. Those tiny things are a bit dangerous and the foam is very weak. I love Jay Bates’ channel.

I saw the sale when I looked up the link for the video. It's an impressive machine. Have fun
