Thanks.. so simple. Once you understand how EXCEL stores time (fraction of one day), everything follows logically. Had a client once who came up with this wacky formula to convert time to minutes: =LEFT(TEXT(A2,"h:mm"),SEARCH(":",TEXT(A2,"h:mm"))-1)*60+RIGHT(TEXT(A2,"h:mm"),2) When I showed him =A2*24*60, he about fell off his chair.. haha! I had to applaud his ingenuity.. but of course it was overkill and unnecessary. As always.. thanks for sharing your tips. Thumbs up!
The forrmula presented in the video doesn't work because allways I have as the result 00:00. I have have tried different cell types and allways have 00:00, but the formula presented by Wayne Edmondson is working perfectly
