Este hombre se ha ganado a pulso la nominación al premio Princesa de Asturias de las Artes, a ver si alguien presenta su candidatura (no sé como funciona ese tema). Respecto a la interpretación, como siempre, de super lujo. Alba en su línea de extraordinaria saxofonista, no desmerece absolutamente nada al invitado Ted Nash. Cárdenas y Allison son nuevos en estas grabaciones de "Chamorro`s House", está bien que se renueven los invitados y no sean siempre los mismos. Y el grupo de saxos con los ex-chavales de la SAJB, Elia, Joan, Koldo y Marçal (que no Lola Peñaranda, como erróneamente pone en los créditos, maestro). Y el propio Chamorro, que últimamente parece haber dejado un poco de lado el contrabajo para dedicarse al saxo. ¿Reciclaje o cura de desintoxicación? ... Y los muy grandes Marc y Arnáu completando la mini orquesta de matrícula de honor. Pocas veces he visto tanto talento junto en una habitación tan pequeña ...

One of many songs I played twice to better appreciate. It's midniight in the U.S., so I'm listening with high quality headphones. When the sun comes up I will fill the whole house with sound through my TV and sound system. One could write paragraphs of praise for the whole band, but I did want to mention how effortlessly she plays.
I miss Scott's and Ignasi's playing because of their styles of playing. Alba's Baritone sax playing tone with timing with emotion, beautiful. Joan, may your students go far.

@@johnwhite2576 I "discovered" him when I first saw the video of the Don Ellis band playing "Go No Go". Nash was just 17 years old and standing up front with Ellis and playing an early solo. Don Ellis is gone but Ted Nash is still with us and doing good for music and musicians. I don't play any longer but I sure do love that there are so many excellent young musicians showing what they can do.
