I remember when Alba was a young girl looking apprehensively around as she sat in with the big guys and gals. She and all of Joan Chamorro's students' playing got me through a hard time after my wife died. A mixture of young energy, beautiful looks, and most especially great playing - from kindergarten to professionals. I've been supported and wowed watching and listening. Thank you all.
Absolutely wonderful!! the sublime, tender interaction between Alba and Scott Hamilton moved me deeply... Also of note and importance to Alba's development is the strengthening of her improvisation skills here...

Wow ... Qué maravilla de tema y de interpretación. Alba siempre ha sido fantástica con cualquier tipo de saxo, pero desde que se ha pasado al barítono, que son palabras mayores, creo que ha encontrado la excelencia. Ese artefacto casi monstruoso es el que mejor le va a su estilo, su forma de tocar y su sensibilidad, por raro que pueda parecer. Y lo está bordando, dejándonos interpretaciones tan mágicas como esta.
De Scott Hamilton que decir ya a estas alturas, uno de los más grandes de la historia, que ha encontrado su edén de "jubilata" entre la chavalería del maestro Chamorro. Y es genial para todos, el viejo músico se siente rejuvenecer entre ellos y los jóvenes músicos aprenden continuamente a su lado.
Joan Monné sobresaliente, tan extraordinario pianista como arreglista. Chamorro y Juliá como siempre, son el equipo de apoyo habitual en estas grabaciones y nunca defraudan.
Me encanta el sax, la forma en que lo toca Alba, y el acompañamiento Hamilton, bellisimo. Felicidades.
