It’s very obvious that force feedback “bug” is intentional. Polyphony is trying to nerf Steve and Scott, they have gotten to be too OP
Scott Speed cannot be slowed by glitch, company, nor man. He is an American racing god.

Steve is still decent and consistently grabs 6th, though that tells us more about him than his skill level.
The real deal is Scott, he was getting too OP!
@@mav3ri3k the trick is, Steve always willingly gets 6th, just to show that he can. If Steve wanted to, he could get 1st every time, but he realizes that’d be too OP. Scott, on the other hand, doesn’t hold back.
GT7 is an absolute mess. Now with FFB-Bug. GT Sport is also unplayable in MP - disconnects all the time.

@@ScotGear Stock car racing is not synonymous with banger racing. NASCAR does not have rules against contact, nor does it penalise contact. And just as a note, cuz it seems to have eluded you, my original comment was obviously a joke.

@@GrantyGame More than one change of direction to defend a position is not permitted. “Any driver moving back towards the racing line, having earlier defended his position off-line, should leave at least one car width between his own car and the edge of the track on the approach to the corner.

@Hesh Hesherson Apparently they noticed severely high FFB and in response just neutered it as a response.
But then... Forgot to put this in the patch notes. Or tell anyone.
Still, GT7 and severe issues go hand in hand: see the Gr.1 events being legitimately impossible in a normal Gr.1 car on Hard, and that there are duplicate AI in the new events. Plus those new events use the reward valuing from the original release, so they're massively underpaying compared to the events added last patch.
Oh and lobby mode is still just fucked. And there's still weird bugs you can do in Meeting Places.
@Hesh Hesherson they lowered the ffb on purpose because of "dangerous levels" and supposedly they're trying to fix that, still works like before in compatibility mode

@@sheepy6598 most people don't really care about proper racing techniques, they buy racing games cause of graphics and to try something different, they play for a while and then conclude that racing is about going around in a circle again and again, get bored

I've played against a bot named S. Brown with british flag. If thats not Steve then thats a nice coincidence
@@MauriceAleexander It's most likely a coincidence. (The event is Goodwood Clubman Cup Plus.)
There are 5 other AI with the Brown surname in events, and other wellknown GT figures like "J. Broadbent" are in no events, plus the Broadbent surname isn't in the random AI surname list.
(Note: all names are hardcoded in events, random names are used in arcade/custom races.)
(Random fact: Brown as a surname can be randomised as being from BR, CA, GB, IT, US, AU, NZ. Yes, GT7 generates AI names such that the country always makes sense. There are also limited first name initials based on the country. Hence, "Brown" will never have a first name initial of Q, X, or Y.)

I was almost at DR A before this Monza week. then after a few races I am now 1 monza race away from going B-A into B-C

you can thank the latest update and rhe absolure shit ranking system that puts people that belong in D rated lobbies for DR and SR into A/S because they can set a fast lap time and not hit slow people. but can't actually drove within 1 seconds of another car to save their goddamn life. vouple this with the penalties being nerfed so you can now get shoved off track at any speed by any csr for any reason and nobody will get a penalty. expect horrible lobbies. and don't even try and grind rank as it's pointless due to being down to luck if you get a half competent lobby with a somewhat functioning brain cell left

On Fanatec forum someone posted a new settings for DD Pro, is better with that but is still very weak, hope it will be fixed soon. 1st corner at Monza its really the worst of all, even if you try to do it right there is always someone who will push you.

Dunno about anyone else but I get more satisfaction starting towards the back of the grid and making up positions to finish a respectable 5th than having a boring race at the front where I tend to lose focus and make sloppy mistakes towards the end.

I added a turbo to my Porsche GSR, very helpful. I’m races I know it’s going to rain I remove the turbo prior to the race and aided in traction

You missed the most fun at Monza. To finish into the Pit when you are 0.5 infront and imaging the disapointment of the other when he realises that he did not another Position.

The best part of the update is I can now see my worldwide rank in time trials, showing how pathetic I really am! Currently in the 17,000s in both Race A and B. At least I'm consistent.
I’ve recently returned to online racing after taking a break thanks to Covid and other stuff. Monza is not my favourite track but managed to nab a lucky 3rd place in the old Supra GT500 against a bunch of WRX’s
to get back ff to previous setting you also need to increase the ingame controller ff setting to max . worked for me and i feel ff is better than before now with that setting

You can turn up the in game force feedback settings to compensate in the interim
fanatec forums has great settings post update from user Maurice Böschen that makes the ffb as strong as before while better quality around page 8 of the fanatec req settings post.
hope this patch stays the same cause with slight adjustment in wheel and game settings improved the feel overall.
I knew this would happen the catered to the masses that have no clue and reverted back the improvements in 1.15

I only managed to get second in an Audi R8. My best lap in qualifying was a 1:51.900. Also explored the track limits generously.
Would love to hear either tips or rating/information about the Audi.
The Audi is a bit slow compared to the other commonly used cars for Gr.3. I’d try the Subaru, beetle, or Supra as you can see here.

If ever there was a track built of memes then this is it, surprisingly quite sedate on this particular outing. I actually watched the first race as it transpired as I am a happy participant in Just Dio GT's chat and I race for his team SSRT on my second account, as does Zavisic (shameless name drop) when not driving for NSR ( Non Stop Racing ). It is testament to your ability and knowledge how quickly you managed to make a mockery of your initial quali, right up there with the top A+ drivers in a matter of laps, GG👏👏. I imagine that for some watching that it might be taken as a given that you would do just that, without taking into account the amount of track time that enables it, very commendable.
Your commentary, as ever, was quite superb, that little sprinkling of humour peppering the action gives the viewer that familiarity enough to know that we are safe and home.
