It's really nice to see something other then Sound of Silence or Down with the Sickness, which are awesome, but they have so much good music that has so much meaning. The Light, The Night, Indestructible or Who Taught You to Hate. So many great songs.

This song hits home for me, had a motorcycle wreck 2 years ago and shattered my left arm and left foot, broke my neck and when I broke my neck it severed a nerve to my arm so I now have no use of it, so this song is awesome. I stay strong and positive and knowing that it happened for a reason and I'm still here for that reasn and that's because of the man upstairs!! ❤️ love it, thank you!

Disturbed's music has so much depth and meaning. Every song has a meaning not just words on a page.
Disturbed's lyrics have got me through some tough dark times.
You just have to look past the music and actually listen to the message in the music.
    Love these guys!

Disturbed is, for me, consistent and reliable. I mean, I know that I can put on an album and enjoy every single song. When they come up on a playlist I never skip them. I'd say yes, Indestructible is a must for your next Disturbed selection. Down With The Sickness is a great song and certainly iconic for them. It is often encouraged to new Disturbed listeners for the shock value, a sort of baptism by fire into the Disturbed experience, especially if Sound of Silence is all they have heard before. The contrast is stark. I like to know a person better, kinda test the water, before sharing 'Sickness' with them. I do think you'll appreciate the song and the importance of the subject matter but my only caveat is that the expletives are free flowing. If that is something you want to control on your channel you should be aware of it. If you look at the band's top 5 on Spotify you can see that Sound of Silence and 'Sickness' are their most popular by a lot, but consider when each of them were released. There is so much great, amazing music that they have produced, including new music this year 🤘🤘. Looking forward to your discovery.

Perfectly on the mark. This song is about knowing where to apply rage; understanding what life has to give you. Do you think the character portrayed in the video would ever have come to a new life without that understanding? No. This is always about finding your way through the morass, the swamp of what modern life throws at you. You have a fire inside you. In the dark, that fire will show you things you never expected. Do you think that guy thought "this year I'll bang a physical therapist"?
Understand that the world can show you beauty again. Understand that you will get through this. We're all brothers and sisters in the end. I'm just in a different part of the path. Sometimes... sometimes, darkness will show you the light.

I’m a counselor a vocational rehabilitation counselor & I assist individuals with disabilities obtain/maintain employment. This song the lyrics make me think of the deaf culture because they talk without speaking (sign use ASL) most they live in silence. But when this song originally came out by Simone & Garfunkel a lot of individuals with disabilities were also treated inhumanly! But I love David’s voice Disturb is one of my favorite bands!!! Keep its up Rosalie!!! 💜

Light is easiest seen in darkness. Take a straight tunnel for instance. When you're deep in it facing into it's depth you see only darkness & nothing but even if you are miles & miles into it, you could turn around & see light where you began & there is your clear reminder that no matter how dark your life is, there is always a light somewhere. We have to embrace the darkness in order to understand how to find the light & once we come into the light from the darkness, we'll know what places are dark & we can find our way out of it. I quoted myself & had it tattooed onto my forearms, " Knowledge Through Pain " on my right arm & " Wisdom Through Misery " on my left arm. The songs The Night & The Light go hand in hand as a guide

A lot of people do not know how much great music is out there. Almost all metal bands have great songs that are not screaming, or just for the power, expressing anger, etc. They feed the audience that, but for other fans they sneak in some really meaningful, epic music. :)

Full disclosure here. Several years ago I was diagnosed with suffering with depression, stress and anxiety. It got really bad that I was on the verge of a breakdown, doctor thinks could have been building up for over 30 years and that is why it became so bad. Through the doctor I got help with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (some just call it CBT). It helped a lot and with some meds, no longer on them for they were just a stop gap to help, I became functional. Even today I have to be wary and when feel like I am slipping then I get all the information out and do the exercises to help myself. Why saying all this. Well when I discovered this song what it brought to me was all the work that I had done in 7 weeks of therapy is encapsulated in one song. Phrases like "When you think all is forsaken. Listen to me now (All's not forsaken), You need never feel broken again, Sometimes, darkness can show you the light" and "Don't let hope become a memory" and "Don't let another somber pariah consume your soul". Think this should be advised for people getting help to listen to the song.... what's your thought on that?

In the darkness is the best way to see the stars. You can't see them when there is light pollution but when you block out the street lights, the stars seem to pop. It's like life, the dark times help me appreciate the good things in life.

Please do Disturbed - Asylum. It should be the next step after Down with the Sickness.. Asylum is a darker, harder song with great lyrics and meaning.. I really believe you will really enjoy the song.
