Even though it's a music studio where the sound tracks were laid in a studio, David said that he always does also sing when they're doing the video, otherwise it just looks like lip syncing and unreal. He spoke of it in a "making of the 'Stricken' official music video" video; so you are, in fact, seeing his mouth positions, etc., when you see a Disturbed OMV that includes shots of the band.

I'm at around 4:45 of this video. First of all, your voice is very beautiful and I would love to know how you came to opera. Your vocals remind me of Montserrat Caballe who sang with Freddie Mercury of Queen at one point. Next, this song is my go-to when I'm down in the dumps because it picks me right back up again and inspires me to remember that not all is lost. An inspirational song from a heavy metal band is hard to come by these days. The lead singer, David Draiman, to me is like the Keanu Reeves of the heavy metal scene. There's a video floating around now on RUclips where it shows him stopping in the middle of a concert to comfort a scared little girl who came with her parents. He seems like a very stand-up kind of person who is mindful of other people's feelings. He also has a lot of respect for other artist's craft when he and his band cover their songs. Just a great guy all around...

He’s classically trained as well. He has a wide range, not just in the notes he can hit, but also wide range in style and delivery. This is another great band to get into.

If you want to see a good example of David singing live, watch his live performance of Sound of Silence on Conan in 2016. You'll find that he sounds pretty much like he does in the studio. Another great live performance is Down With The Sickness from Germany, although there is an explicit section in that performance that was cut out of the official music video and for the radio edit. I would review the lyrics of that section before airing a reaction to it (it is not about child abuse, but about "mother society"), but for your own review of his techniques, it's a good one to look at.
Disturbed usually has very meaningful lyrics when you dissect them.
You would probably greatly enjoy "Hold Onto Memories," which is also uplifting and "A Reason To Fight," which is an encouragement for those fighting their addictions. The videos are great on both.

Disturbed has a lot of amazing songs. It is hard to pick a favorite one really. Stricken, Voices, Ten Thousand Fists, Enough, Land of confusion. The list goes on. Another band that has an awesome singer is; Small Town Titans. They do a lot of covers. My favorite is You're a mean one Mr. Grinch. Great job on the videos keep it up!
