@@leoguado7454 You should be able to get your money back. I lost my receipt, which is what held things up for me. And yeah, the US basic line is actually pretty nice, but you’re only getting a basic hilt, mostly with a flat pommel. I usually get a nicer, or heavier pommel for better balance...but it also adds so much to the saber. Some o-rings, a wrap, or a little paint to add a touch of color and they almost look like entirely different sabers.

Always new product, reliable, and you’re dealing with a real person at the other end if you have questions. And in spite of the amazing sabers and new sound boards, that human factor and trust US has built goes a long way with me.
Agreed. And avoid those $30 lightsaber ads that frequently appear on FB. Because once people figure them out, they just close their websites and open new a few months later and do the same thing all over again.

A friend and I each ordered our first mystery boxes around Christmas and are super getting impatient. They took the $200 right away and it hasn't been shipped yet. I knew I shouldn't have ordered around the holidays! I can't wait!
The holidays are their busy time...but factoring in the movie as well, they’ve been swamped. They will usually still get them out sooner than most saber companies. Lead times for most are 4-8 months even when there is no holiday or movie. Can’t quite figure that one out. I would say be patient a little longer. I’ve seen some recent YT vids where some folks are just starting to get their orders.
Ultrasabers does have a pretty nice cross guard as well. But just grabbed another mystery saber myself. They’re a lot of fun and fit my post holiday budget...LOL!
I got a couple of MBs recently and filmed the unboxing part of the video. I want to show in the second half some easy customizing steps with a few parts from TCSS. Should hopefully have it finished by next week. Got a couple of videos in front of it, but more are coming soon!

They will still get them out faster than most saber companies, but on the average from what I’ve seen lately it’s taking about a month, give or take a few days.
I wouldn’t argue on personal taste. There’s better and worse. Let’s say that compared to the crappy saber I got from China, this looked pretty darn durable...and in that regard, they hold up better than some other brands out there.

Ultrasabers mystery boxes are great for the price. It’s fun and allows people on every budget to get a decent quality saber. Never had a problem with them. And you never know, you might get one of their higher end sound sabers. Glad you’re liking the vids. I have another lightsaber vid coming in the not too distant future.
That’s unusual for Ultrasabers. Most other companies will take several months, but US usually has them out within a matter of days. Unless it’s around holidays or movie releases when they get really busy. At least that’s been my experience. Sorry to hear you ended up waiting.

How does someone get into the saber community / down the rabbit hole. I’m a huge star wars fan. Love to collect thing and a fan of the empire! They just look so much cooler lol but seriously how do I even start to get into this!?
There are several lightsaber groups on Facebook. I would recommend “Universal Lightsaber Community” to begin with. Ultrasabers has a community board. And though you’ll hear a lot in most communities talking down Ultrasabers, the people on their board is a great community and they talk about all things Star Wars related without a lot of drama.
They usually ship pretty fast...but traveling to another country might take 2-3 weeks. At least that’s been my average wait time when I order things from outside the US. Hope you get a good pick. If you make a video be sure to let me know so I can see what you got :)

Yes...one saber and a blade. You get to choose the type of blade thickness, but the saber and color are completely random. If you want to add a few dollars more there’s an option for a blade plug and a display stand...but those are extra.

I’ve had that knife 4-5 years. I believe it was purchased at Walmart. There used to be a knife factory not far from me that made a lot of these. After it went out of business, a lot of the same knives started appearing from China. Maybe that’s who they sold out to. Mine is a Chinese knock-off version. Good blade though and has a little belt clip. Very handy.
My only issue with this video is that you are stating that your "Fake" saber was bought from Facebook. Facebook doesn't actually sell. They provide you with Ads that take you to a third party seller. Facebook Most likely removed your Post for claiming it was a Facebook product which is false. Other then that, great story! :)
Yes...agreed. Facebook only hosted the ads. And these people who sold the cheap plastic sabers-which were actually sold through several websites set up to do so-and were called out by many folks in the saber community and they shut down the sites. Which disappeared for a few months, then came back with new sites selling more toy sabers for around $30. And facebook took their ad revenue again, then took it again recently. It keeps repeating. You can probably find people discussing it on some of the facebook saber groups who report them every time they see these ads. Bottom line, if you see custom sabers or FX sabers going for around $30, it’s the same group under a new name. And you’ll likely find those ads on FB...in spite of people repeatedly reporting the ads as fake.

That is a lot. You would probably be better off getting a better sound saber so it would at least offset some of the shipping. Because if you ended up with a $75 stunt saber-which in all likelihood, that’s what you’ll get-you would be paying twice the price for it.
The Kyojin isn’t a scam, but Aliexpress can be. The Kyojin is made by YDD Sabers, and you can find them on ebay and buy it directly from them. They have an entire line of budget sabers at some pretty great prices with free shipping. You may want to check them out first and save some potential hassle.

I used to breath that air pretty regularly...and still love his older work. Newer works are still SK on several levels, but...and there we come to the crux of the matter. What’s missing that was there before? Depth of characters, intrigue of plot? I still want to write like SK. But I also know from my own career after doing it for several years, what was once a joy can become a job. Even if your worst efforts outshine 80% of what everyone else is doing. You’re not as hungry any longer. Happens to the best of us :(
@@jnetwrk3083 I haven’t seen anyone get them without a blade. It’s supposed to be included when you go through the steps of deciding what type of blade and whether it has a round or bullet tip. I’ve only had one mistake from US when they sent me the wrong blade plug. I emailed and they send the correct one out and allowed me to keep the extra one. So aside from some minor inconvenience, it worked out pretty well from my end :)
Ultra Saber is pretty backed up right now due to all their sales and the recent movie, so it depends on if you order a MB or custom saber. The MBs come pretty quickly. Most people have been getting them in about a week lately. My recent MB was send out the day after I ordered it.
@@Jason-hh6zu A mystery box is completely random. You don’t know what you’re getting in terms of hilt or blade color. It’s only $75 so a lot of people take a chance. But there’s only like a 1 in 10 chance you’ll get sound. They also have a grab bag option for $70 where you get to choose blade color, but no sound sabers come with this option at all. It’s just a cheap way to get the blade color you want in a stunt saber with none of the bells and whistles. If you want a red blade and basic sound, go to Ultrasabers.com, select the link “Build your own light saber” near the top of the page. You’ll get a large selection of lightsabers to choose from. And when you find the one you like just click “buy,” and you go step by step from blade color, what type of sound, right up until you finish and it says, “Add to cart.” Basic sound is an option. Might be called Lite Sound. But it’s very easy to do. And you can go back to start, change options, choose other hilts to build and compare prices. So until you add it to your cart and go to check out, you can play as much as you like. Building your own saber naturally requires more time and work since it’s all done by hand after you place an order. Might take 2-4 weeks, or even up to 6 weeks when they were really busy. Normally they have them out in no time, but the resent flood of orders have them back logged more than usual. They are catching up a bit lately, but still would say a month or so to be safe. That’s still really quick since most companies that physically build lightsabers make you wait 3-4 months-or even longer-and that’s even when they're not overly busy. Hope this helps. Most of us are on a budget these days. The Ultrasabers $75 mystery boxes, with shipping, and additional blade plug, come in at around $100...$95 if you skip the blade plug. Definitely hard to beat at the price. There are some less expensive budget sabers at the Pach store. Just tossing that out there since I don’t know what your budget is. There’s a lot going on in the saber community and there’s usually something to fit most budgets. It is not a cheap hobby by any means, but it pays to do a bit of research. When I first started making videos, the kitties were always jumping in front of the camera and interrupting. I just stopped fighting it because apparently, they want to be RUclips famous...LOL!
Glad I could help light the way for your getting into the hobby. As shown in the video, I wish I had more feedback from collectors before I attempted to buy my first lightsaber. But even though that first experience wasn’t great, it lead me into a really awesome community and hobby!
LOL! They can certainly seem that way at first. Easy way to remember is emitter is the part the energy blade "emits" from. The end called the pommel is named after the rounded end of the handle of a sword or dagger. So they try to fancy up the terms because it's a laser sword. Probably the best way I can explain it. i got exact same plastic saber from facebook cost £29.99 glad i paid with paypal and managed to get a full refund
I did find my receipt and paypal reopened the case, so I was able to get a refund. Did they make you return the plastic saber?

I used to breath that air pretty regularly...and still love his older work. Newer works are still SK on several levels, but...and there we come to the crux of the matter. What’s missing that was there before? Depth of characters, intrigue of plot? I still want to write like SK. But I also know from my own career after doing it for several years, what was once a joy can become a job. Even if your worst efforts outshine 80% of what everyone else is doing. You’re not as hungry any longer. Happens to the best of us :(

@@jnetwrk3083 I haven’t seen anyone get them without a blade. It’s supposed to be included when you go through the steps of deciding what type of blade and whether it has a round or bullet tip. I’ve only had one mistake from US when they sent me the wrong blade plug. I emailed and they send the correct one out and allowed me to keep the extra one. So aside from some minor inconvenience, it worked out pretty well from my end :)

How long does it take for it to come
Ultra Saber is pretty backed up right now due to all their sales and the recent movie, so it depends on if you order a MB or custom saber. The MBs come pretty quickly. Most people have been getting them in about a week lately. My recent MB was send out the day after I ordered it.

@@Jason-hh6zu A mystery box is completely random. You don’t know what you’re getting in terms of hilt or blade color. It’s only $75 so a lot of people take a chance. But there’s only like a 1 in 10 chance you’ll get sound. They also have a grab bag option for $70 where you get to choose blade color, but no sound sabers come with this option at all. It’s just a cheap way to get the blade color you want in a stunt saber with none of the bells and whistles. If you want a red blade and basic sound, go to Ultrasabers.com, select the link “Build your own light saber” near the top of the page. You’ll get a large selection of lightsabers to choose from. And when you find the one you like just click “buy,” and you go step by step from blade color, what type of sound, right up until you finish and it says, “Add to cart.” Basic sound is an option. Might be called Lite Sound. But it’s very easy to do. And you can go back to start, change options, choose other hilts to build and compare prices. So until you add it to your cart and go to check out, you can play as much as you like. Building your own saber naturally requires more time and work since it’s all done by hand after you place an order. Might take 2-4 weeks, or even up to 6 weeks when they were really busy. Normally they have them out in no time, but the resent flood of orders have them back logged more than usual. They are catching up a bit lately, but still would say a month or so to be safe. That’s still really quick since most companies that physically build lightsabers make you wait 3-4 months-or even longer-and that’s even when they're not overly busy. Hope this helps. Most of us are on a budget these days. The Ultrasabers $75 mystery boxes, with shipping, and additional blade plug, come in at around $100...$95 if you skip the blade plug. Definitely hard to beat at the price. There are some less expensive budget sabers at the Pach store. Just tossing that out there since I don’t know what your budget is. There’s a lot going on in the saber community and there’s usually something to fit most budgets. It is not a cheap hobby by any means, but it pays to do a bit of research. Glad I could help light the way for your getting into the hobby. As shown in the video, I wish I had more feedback from collectors before I attempted to buy my first lightsaber. But even though that first experience wasn’t great, it lead me into a really awesome community and hobby!
Emitter is the piece with windows and bottom piece is pommel wierd ass names.
LOL! They can certainly seem that way at first. Easy way to remember is emitter is the part the energy blade "emits" from. The end called the pommel is named after the rounded end of the handle of a sword or dagger. So they try to fancy up the terms because it's a laser sword. Probably the best way I can explain it.
