Primavera all the way. Smooth ride and you feel the heritage every time you set off. Worth the extra £££'s. Excellent dealer support too. Love the fair reviews here.
1. Vespa GTS 2. Vespa Primavera / Sprint (same bike) 3. Royal Alloy Tigara grande 4. Royal Alloy Grand prix 5. Peugeot Django 6. Lambretta v200 7. Honda ADV 150 8. Honda cub / monkey (not really a scooter) small bike though
Hi Not sure how and where you got your prices from, but in the UK, The Royal Alloy 300 TG Sc Lc are approximately £5200 + otr. I should know because I've just parted with ££££ to own one. 😆
@@BikeMatters Hi Thanks, I did consider that after I wrote my bit. I did think though that the 300 was shown in the Video???? I stand corrected if that's the case. 😇
Hello from the States. I have a Primavera 150cc 75th Anniversary Edition and I like the styling way more than the Sprint. Something about that boxy headlight just turns me off as well. Just my opinion! Cheers! :)
I’ve looked in detail at most of these at the dealerships, but not ridden any of them, however the royal alloy is the best built by far and the best looking and it’s not plastic, the Vespas are really plasticky and cheap finish and expensive, The royal alloy TG300 true price is a whopping £5485.00 on the road but it looks expensive, the RA depreciation is minimal compared to Vespa.
I am salivating here in the USA. You guys have so much more to choose from than we do. Vespa is my favorite, but the Royal Alloy in two-tone lemon yellow and white was a head turner for me.
cibai no TaoTao 150cc ka?....TaoTao really look like Vespa PX...but with 4 stroke engine honda knock-off engine... -:I recommend for Oasis band used Django for their music video....if you late I think Japanese band will do it first..
I'm 72 now. In my teens and early 20s I had a vespa for transport and work. Great little scooter. My mates had Lambrettas. The Vespa just stopped one day....no reason. It was the exhaust choked up with 2 stroke gunge. But after a new exhaust box it was good again. As a fun bike for town and shops I now have the Honda Super Cub. Had it a year now, great little bike but we will be parting company soon for a Lambretta 300. The seat on the cub is best suiited to someone 5foot6 to 5 9. I'm 5 10 and after 30mins find the seating uncomfortable. Also the gear shifting can be tricky. Fuel economy though is great. Having sat on the 125 Lambretta in the shop, seating, to me anyway, seems perfect, much better than my honda, fingers crossed.
the Vespa scoots are hardly retro, they're a lovely Italian styled modern scoot. great machines but not retro imo. I'm still praying they do an updated px lol
The Super Cub is not a scooter. Its a motorcycle that has the looks of a scooter. That being said, it along with the Vespa are the only vehicles worth purchasing.
When doing a review I think you should mention the service intervals. A very important consideration when buying a scooter. For example it is my understanding that the Sym Fiddle 125 requires an oil change every 1000Klms (600 miles) which is something that would deter me from buying one.
My newest scooter is the 2021 Primavera 150, but I am central USA, and haven’t had this ride long enough to get 130 miles yet, too much winter and now too much cold and rain. Here a Vespa/Piaggio will outlast most other scooter brands on the market and are more owner friendly when it comes to simple maintenance like oil changes, air filter changing and such.
The last time we checked no new ones available in the UK, seems to have hit a bit of a halt. The Scomadi's have been in every retro scooter video list up until this one. With seemingly no availability of new units thought best to miss it off the list this time around.
There aren't really any 50cc Cafe Racers, we have a 2021 list on 125cc cafe racers... ruclips.net/video/3D0g08Vm6I8/видео.html the new list will be coming in the forthcoming weeks.

That super cub’s 188miles/gallon and bigger wheels makes it my choice of these bikes 👌🏾
1. Vespa GTS
2. Vespa Primavera / Sprint (same bike)
3. Royal Alloy Tigara grande
4. Royal Alloy Grand prix
5. Peugeot Django
6. Lambretta v200
7. Honda ADV 150

Also it's water cooled
And the the horsepower is 21.5!
I like the vespa scooters esp the sprint and 300 gt

The Super Cub is really an underbone motorcycle, but the leg shield make people think scooter.
Should be Honda Scoopy

WHERE IS KYMCO LIKE?
nice but i think the vespa gts super sport should have taken the top spot
Great option
The MGB is definetly a LAMBRETTA inspired scooter: look at the horncast and the SX-chrome-arrows on the side pannel

Does seem like the scooter market isn't huge in the US from the comments we get, you don't seem to have much in the way of available models.
So I'm guessing from your comment Vespa and Honda are probably the only models available for us USA people?
I wish the Yamaha 125 Filano was offered in the USA.
I'm in Thailand part time, the land of scooters and under bones.
Vespa is like the Harley-Davidson of scooters.
The Peugeot Django in the white & orange colourway looks best imo 🛵
🍊
Great choice!
Lovely to ride but worry about getting the parts when they need replacing, like the White wall tyres
Very hard choices. But ultimately I will go for the vespa primavera ❤👍

No Yamaha 125 Filano?
Nothing beats Honda and Yamaha quality and worldwide network.

Thanks for the comment David, enjoy the Lambretta.
The gts 300 should have been top and the ugly Honda thing should not be on the list
I'm going to be doing a few retro scooters videos soon for 2023, watch this space
Mostly informative. Sound quality on your video is poor. The background music doesn’t help.
May be someone know something abou Zhen Veracruz 125cc?

Honda metropolitan....and Yamaha Vino

Can any of these be shipped to carrboro North Carolina USA 🇺🇸
Any more info/ review on MGB trieste 125? Im considering getting one

Great Video
Cheers RJH!
Why not mrntion the Forza Capri LX50 2022? I have just bought one and it is amazing.
Not aware of these in the UK. Glad you are enjoying it!
Vespa primvera 150 is needed
U.K. gets the 125cc in place of the 150cc. Our licensing laws allow us to ride a 125 with a one day training course, and not a full test.
