The biggest advantage here in the USA for Vespa is dealership support. Redial is higher, all metal construction an advantage also. If you maintain it you can still get parts for it 20 years from now. In wish they had a retro instrument gauge package to match the retro styling.
Bang on. I've no idea what they are playing at, losing sales to plastic Chinese pastiches is embarrassing in their position. I am no more be interested in riding a Royal Alloy (urggh) or a "Lambretta" than l would be in wearing a fake Rolex....
They will at some point, the Piaggio BV (Beverly) already is a 400cc unit! I ride a 2021 GTS300 and I absolutely love it! As for the Royal Alloy range - I bought a TG300 and took it back 30 days later! The build quality and cheap parts were shocking, Vespa all the way now!
Totally agree 100%. Come on Vespa just drop the round headlight on mudguard & look at what everyone else is doing. I want to buy Vespa but need better looks
Vespa #1. Though I don't have a 300GTS--since I got a hardly used 2013 946 last year (❤❤❤), but wanted more power & less worry about paint chips for off-pavement, I opted for non-retro Piaggio BV400 instead and very happy with it, too! (BV here in US, Beverly in RoW). A great non-retro and happily without the weird angles/jutting body work like Suzuki or other maxi scooters.
Great review, very interesting and informative, thank you. The Lammy G350 looks the most like the original style of how most people prefer a scooter to look like IMO. I think it looks as close to the original style that you can get whilst incorporating modern day styling. I'd have to compare looks and performance with a Royal Alloy GP300 before I decided which one to buy. On looks alone though I'm leaning towards the G350.
Quality of assembly for Lambretta is far better than Vespa when it comes to Asia market. They produced from different countries. X300 can reach 155kmh without modifications. And I saw a guy achieve 173 kmh with mods.
You'll lose the Innocenti heritage, but realistically boils down to which you prefer the look of! Check out our GTS Supersport review here: ruclips.net/video/DrelV1Mvog0/видео.html&ab_channel=BikeMatters
Yet all are nothing like my 1964 Lambretta GT 200 converted to electric. 491 nm torque, 6 kw motor wheel, 0-100 kph in 1.2 seconds, 180 kph top speed 13 inch rims for stability at speed, front disc break 120 ah 72 volt battery pack range of 450 kp Charge. Far better than any fake Vespa and Lambretta or real one. But cool vid M8
You should check the history of Lambretta and Vespa before saying that. First, both have a common parent, thisnis D'Ascanio, which first worked with Innocenti ti create the Lambrtte but due to some arguments about the frame, D'Ascanio moved to Piaggio and they created Vespa. Second, the shape of today Lambretta is inspired by the Lambretta from 1969 (I think), designed by Bertone.

That is important indeed.
Everyone knows what Vespa should do. A large capacity scooter based on GS/SS styling, in the same way Royal Alloy riff on the Lambretta.

Hi. Would you be interested in selling your 946 ? 😊
Do the Royal Alloy 300 series still have Vespa GT engines?

Thanks for watching!
I just test-rode a Lambretta X300 in Bangkok. Super quick and it seemed loud. I think the X300 and GT350 are way better looking that the Vespas.
That round headlight on the Vespas front mud guard, oh dear . What a shame because apart from that it’s a great scoot.
Great vid mate!
Thanks!
ROYAL ALLOY GP300S IS A GREAT SCOOTER THAT IS BUILT IN THAILAND. I DRIVE ONE. SUPER SMOOTH CRUISER.
price?
6000
None of them go 'ring a ting ting' 😢

How can you even comment on two Lambretta scooters which are still not released, let alone rate them above current production models?
Any thoughts on the Lambretta V300 please? Tossing up that against the GTS - as yet to test drive both (currently have ET4-125 and Honda600)

Royal alloy nicer looking but can’t get parts and not as reliable as vespa
It's the X300's green seat I don't like.

Y a w n !
😩
There is only one best retro scooter : Vespa because the rest are just copies and based on the looks of the Vespa

😀
Ride a old Honda helix 250cc with the 65" wheelbase. You'll throw all those mini bikes in the garbage.
I used to ride a 1969 Lambretta GP200 at 16. That X300 is just ugly
'62 TV 175 for me
Honda? fuel injection? ABS? too much left unsaid
🤦🏻
