The latest album sounds like a generic tech death band trying to sound like Nile. The songs are well written but it just sounds like every other band now.
I feel you... Karl, George and dallas wrote great music together and thats what made niles Sound unique. They are still great, but as you said it's not the same. Dallas is more than happy with what he does these days so i don't think he's going to come back.
I concur. Every time I see them now, they have a different line up.. the 2020 lineup was solid imo. I'm not really feeling this vocalists style.. reminds me of the current singer of cryptopsy lol, which I can't stand him either. Imo their best lineup was before George Kolias was in the band.. early 2000 era with Jon Vesano on bass/vox, Tony Laureano on drums, Karl Sanders, and Dallas Toler Wade guitar/vox. Amongst the Catacombs, Black Seed, and In Their Darkened Shrines is my favorite era/albums.
That's right. 18 year old me was lucky to have seen Nile during that tour with Chief and Dallas - November To Dismember 2000. Goddamn what a lineup that fest was.

@@HairyPixels i might be mistaken but a few months ago i read their bass player has health issues and their other guitarist did become a father and takes a break for his kid or something like that.

Not sure how I feel about this line up, I mean they still rip, but I dunno. Loved the last lineup, but man I wish they would get Dallas back!!

The brutality of what is Nile they are the pinnacle of Metal
