I can understand how with enough practice, you can sing like that for hours. I can understand how with enough practice, you can shred like that. What I will never fathom, is how you can do both at the same time like at 01:07. Serious fucking respect here, that take some serious brain power!
Lignarius the first time I listened to them I assumed they had two people who only did vocals because, being a guitarist, listening to their albums I thought 'God this is so fast and technical', then I was floored when I saw them play guitar and do vocals.
watch how he times the vox with the start of each run down of the riff. riff is going to be muscle memory at that point. you rehearse that part for a stupid amount of time...then you can focus on your pronunciation and lyrics
When you're signing and playing, you're barely thinking any of the time, it's pretty much all muscle memory from your hands and your brain as you've done it so many times in practice. I always find it easier to sing and play when your going crazy like this as well as you don't need to focus on rests or anything.
Karl is probably the best musician in the whole death metal scene, in any country. Everybody tries to be so brutal and badass on the stage but seriously, look at him, smiling all the time and not giving a fuck. Just enjoying the view of his fans going crazy to his music. I fucking love this man
I think it’s fair to say though that there’s a lot of brutal fucking performers in the death metal scene who are just truly and utter possessed by the music they’re playing rather than trying to appease fans and look “badass”. Vitriol and old school Behemoth are some of the best examples I can think of for what I’m talking about. Nothing wrong with being badass as long as you fuckin mean it.
First saw these guys in 2010 at The Palladium in Worcester with Immolation and Krisiun. It was the day before my birthday. Literally aged to this song. One of my favorite show memories absolutely ever
That's the best -nile- show I've ever seen on you tube. The band should have recorded it and make it a live DVD... Awesome sound and the crowd doesn't sucked, actually you can hear a guy screaming at the end of the song at 3:25... \m/
Nile fuckin' slays! Both live and on album, nothing else to say about that. My favorite band of all time is still Death, but these guys are up there among the best, that's for sure.
George Kolias' percussion sound is a war machine, and in conjunction with Dallas' voice... Man, what a fucking blast!

Hahaha I love Karl. He absolutely loves what he does.
Karl is so happy here he reminds me of the yellow teletubby with an ankh hanging down playing death metal.
I love how they have 3 vocalists

I fucking love this man
Christofer Wall He's like the most chill and laid back dude, but has the most evil, demonic deathgrowl in the biz!

The great point of the Black Seeds album is the raw and brutal production, sounding like an exorcism.

@drdave313 Songs don't NEED a chorus or bridge. I prefer a linear structure
The bible says there is only one god...
But I can see 4 on stage here....
Kollias FTW!
@Silenoz1991 You didn't like the job Derek Roddy did?
If someone was searching the definition of brutal death metal just check the video...
