Best tip on split is to pray that you get defender first so your team stays happy

@@metube6299 split is insanely defender sided, so teams can tilt in the first half and end up losing. its not a skill issue, its a map issue. if you are above the level of your opponents then you should win more games, but is your team good? no. this comment is about your team, and you seem like an instalock reyna main hardstuck in plat.
I think omen one ways still work wherever viper one ways work. A ledge for the viper orb means a ledge where you can place an omen smoke.

another trick that works now are the corners. people are getting used to split again, so in the meantime you can get away with hiding, say, behind the metal box on defender in b main. just throw a jett smoke, cypher cage or smth similar to make it look like you are trying to push, then hide and point your barrel at the box. if you use this correctly and sparingly, it can get you a couple kills for completely free. just be mindful of what you do after you are done shooting!
Some of Omens one way smokes might still work on B-main, you just have to put it on a ledge or an iron crossbar.

Fade's Q ability (the one that grabs people) can't hold people in the air anymore from a patch not too long ago. It has nothing to do with split
In low elo everyone forgot how important mid control is. Even when the defensive sage walls off mid, no one even checks when you break the wall.
I didn't really think about Harbor on this map, he might have some serious potential!

mrlowlander, the iron thing is only in high setting, i was using sage just now on new split and i did the boost wall at a main, i can see outside heaven clearly
tip for omen smokes. It was the same hitbox as a cypher cage so if u look at cypher setups for one ways it works with omen too :))

As thomas fox pointed out, I think he was pretty good on Breeze too, but I think people sleep on him on Ascent. He always seemed strong to me on Ascent, dk why more people don't try him like that
his walls on fracture are CRAAAAZY

Split is that one map that always gives me nostalgia everytime I play on it.

Well, Omen oneways still kinda exist, you just need to find a little ledge to place it on, just like Viper. Might be harder but still possible for many corners.
Also Cypher has a pretty busted defense Camera on A. From Heaven you can try to place it as far forward as possible.
The cam will be so far forward that you can spot enemies in A main, even BEFORE the barriers go down. I don't know why this still exists...
The recon and cypher camera still work at the billboard at a main in split but it harder to do good for checking enemy

a lot of Omen one ways still work, you can put them on top of ledges, and so far most of thr doors have doorframes
there was a trick on a rafters with cypher where you could put your camera on the billboard right above the coffee shop (you could see if enemies were pushing) but now its gone because rafters is gone and the billboard is moved back
That sage grim wall still works if you angle it a bit to the left and noy straight. Have to do the jumping backwarf trick tho

As a breach main I remember and I now have to acknowledge and be forced to push that ultimate to destroy it or be a victim to that lineup since I can no longer destroy a KJ ult with aftershock, unless its like below 180 hp.

He’s definitely good on fracture but I’m not sure that he’d be picked on any other maps

I'll be honest I was only playing for like a week before they took split out and now I'm Silver 2 but I play split like an iron, hopefully these tips and tricks can help me get back to my actual rank on this ma0
it was honestly kinda ridiculous back in the day with all these little cheese spots you could use for almost every agent
the entire gameplay loop was basically just 'who knows the cooler map secrets?'
now without them , im really starting to understand why the map was so awful and why so many people hated it

That yoru clone is a good one but you could get flashed by your own clone. Unless you plan on getting a pick and repositioning
i have this one trick where (in any map) if u have a sage on ur team or opponent team and they put up the wall shoot down the middle part so u and ur teammates can go on the other sides and shoot the opponent when walk through the gap
Man I used to play Sova on split and instead of that recon lineup I used the shock darts as soon as the round starts… free damage ngl and if you’re lucky enough you’ll get a kill or two as well XD
Fun fact those Jets pots are one the major reasons why they took split out of the pool they were tired of people finding spots like this, and if people keep looking for spots like that they are sure to take it out again.

Omen’s one ways don’t work because riot temporarily nerfed his smokes to not create one ways. It is “temporary” as they will either revert it/make more changes/leave it depending on how omen performs with it.
MrLowLander I believe that the fade suck ability still works its just that you did it with a team mate so it dosent work
The omen one ways are not disabled on split but in the entire game as general.... Now one way smokes will drop down to the ground...

bro right before this video i tested the nade to a ramp from t spawn and i got a kill i was just seeing whether i could even throw the grenade there or if they put like construction or something
at 5:35 this one was patched before split came back. I tried it in a custom with my friends and it didnt work.
