Pretty much any song from Lovebites. They literally have no "bad" song in their repertoire 😊 But if you want one where you can check out Asamis power, Edge of the world, from the same concert
The guitar technique you asked about is called 'tapping', and it's not really inherently difficult, but it does require lots of practice to master, especially at the speed these guitarists are playing. When you tap, you're basically just extending your left hand to a fret you can't reach with your fingers, or you're using the extra fingers to hit more notes at a pace your left hand can't do by itself. The hard part for me is always moving between strumming/picking and tapping. The transfer screws me up a lot because I usually drop the pick. You can see the blonde guitarist use her middle and ring fingers to tap, which is the most common method, so she can hold the pick with her index and thumb to make the transfer easier. But there was one shot where she quickly put the pick in her mouth before she taps so she could use her index finger too (at 1:40 just as the wide shot cuts to the bassist, but you can hear her tapping in harmony with the bassist's own tapping), and then retrieved the pick again (1:43). There's a better view at 3:41 when she does it again. This move requires either very quick hands and some practice or clever songwriting to give you time to do it.
This describes it pretty well. Tapping itself isn't super hard (although precision at high temp is obviously harder) - I always found the hard part to be switching in or out of tapping
LOVEBITES - Holy War - Lyrics : Look at those black clouds, it's going to rain blood People live in fear, covered in mud Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters There is a thousand, a thousand of evils Hush, do not wake up Satan's devils Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for brothers Shining blade and burning heart Into the Gates of Hell we march Immortal soul, let there be light Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun We are one for all and all for one forevermore Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall Reincarnation, wait for your call Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for sisters Morning star and dying moon Into the Gates of Hell we march Mighty soul, let there be hope Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight? But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for Only have one thing on our mind Facing the fate, holy war Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty We are the metal warriors Fighting the darkness for brothers Shining blade and burning heart Into the Gates of Hell we march Immortal soul, let there be light Into the Eye of Heaven Eagles at a holy war Fly higher than the sun We are one for all and for one forevermore What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight? There aren't a lot of vocalist reactors that cover these bands (Lovebites, Band-Maid, etc)... I really appreciate the insight into these amazing singers and bands.
Finally the day has come when Julia reacting to LOVEBITES... and got blown away by Asami's vocals also!! If you want more of Asami's vocals in all its glory, please react to "Edge of the World" from the same concert, or "Glory to the World" from their 2021's concert. I'm so happy right now... thanks for the reaction Julia. Cheers!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Hello, Julia. These girls are tremendous and I assure you that you will fall in love with them. They have tremendous talent. I suggest you the songs " Rising" "A frozen serenade" "Epilogue", this is a work of art, " Swan song + intro Chopin" and so many good songs. big hug
Prediction before watching: This won’t be your last Lovebites reaction ;) These girls are amazing and they deserve so much more! May I suggest Swan Song (+Chopin intro) for the next reaction? 🤘🏻🐺
Julia, did you notice the grand piano on the stage? You'll know what they really can do. Hold your jaw tight. Here's the link for the Swan Song +. ruclips.net/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/видео.html
Prior to Asami becoming a metal singer, she was an R&B/Soul singer. You can hear her incorporate those styles into some of Lovebites' songs. She is an amazing talent as is the rest of the band. They come at you with different styles of metal. Set the World on Fire is a song that will melt your face. And then you have Edge of the World which has so much elegance to start and builds up into an intense heaviness. I have been listening to these gals for about 2 years and I still cannot get enough of them.
@@realdocloco Oh I see. That’s a rich vocal background. I wonder how she developed her fast (and very appropriate) vibrato since there would be nothing as fast as this song is in those genres. A sign of healthy vocal production to my ears is that she can vary her vibrato naturally. Hitting those F5s and E5s was something. In my opinion, hitting high notes with a chest-y mix is something that’s fairly common in Gospel, and Rhythm and Blues, and Soul.
Welcome to the wolfpack. Lovebites is phenomenal. They have about 50 songs out and they play everything from heavy thrash metal to power metal to hard rock to rock and all the way to soft ballads. Every song has killer guitar solos in it. Here are some examples to check out next: Heavy thrash - Break the Wall - ruclips.net/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/видео.html Soft Ballad - Epilogue - ruclips.net/video/rFKzwlb8rxU/видео.html Progressive Rock - A Frozen Serenade - ruclips.net/video/-R1wJ3Xygog/видео.html Power Metal - When Destinies Align - ruclips.net/video/uyekjiLNgns/видео.html Hard Rock - Rising - ruclips.net/video/5LT-WhFGsPE/видео.html
Welcome to it !! Found them in a reaction vid just like this a few months ago. This band has completely changed my perspective of traditional heavy metal.

Thanks for interesting analysis again Julia! If you like to hear one Asasmi's showpieces there is "Edge of the world". Starts off as a lovely ballad but goes flipping nut-nut as usual.
It still amazes me that so much sound can come from such a little woman who is only about 5 feet tall. It's also amazing that she has the stamina to keep this up for a 2 hour concert - non-stop. I have several of their concert DVDs, and every one is right around 2 hrs. long. She started out in R&B and Soul and had never sung metal until joining Lovebites. She also studied ballet for many years, so you'll see a lot ballet moves in the way she expresses herself on stage. This is now my favorite band to listen too. I would recommend you do "Swan Song w/ the Chopin Intro" next. Good reaction!!
I feel like a proud parent presenting my daughters for Julia's appraisal. 😂 Crying is mandatory/involuntary when listening to Lovebites. At the recently-recorded Ride For Vengeance show, Asami held the final "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!" even *longer* - she's always trying to push herself. If you want to hear them play *even faster*, try "Lovebites - Glory To The World (Official Music Video)". 🤘 🔥 💜 🐺
Asami = ah sah mi Lead guitarist and pianist with black hair = Miyako = Mi Ya Ko Also lead guitarist with gold hair = Midori = Mi Dor Ri Bassist/Founder = Miho = Mee Ho Drummer = Haruna = Ha Roo Na
Welcome to the wonderful world of LOVEBITES! You got a taste of what these amazing ladies can do. But you ain't seen nothing yet! Check out more of their songs, and you will join the loyal wolfpack. They can do it all. They are power-metal, but they have so many different influences that come out in their music. They will take you on a journey of nostalgia and discovery. When you learn about all the musicians backgrounds... it will all make perfect sense. So many amazing songs, it's hard to recommend just a few. Do a search, and watch/listen to everything you find. LOVEBITES is #1. Wolfpack for life!
Awesome!! Asami used to sing R&B, she is completely new to metal when she joined Lovebites. She is doing amazing job adapting to metal music, i really like her singing!! I think "Glory to the World" music video, "Edge of the World" Live or "Swan Song" Live with Chopin intro, are great songs where Asami also shines!! 🤘🙂🎸Thank you Julia!
For me Asami's tour de force is "Set the World on Fire". In her youth she studied ballet including studying in Los Angeles. Prior to Lovebites she was a Jazz, Soul, and R&B singer. None them ever look like they stressed when playing, professionals. She was especially selected by Miho (bassist & band founder) to be the singer. The guitarists practice together to stay in sync, Miyako (black hair) has her own home studio and Midori (blond ponytail) practices with Miyako there. While all write songs, Miyako with about half of the songs with Asami being her primary lyricist. Another singer for you is Mayu of Nemophila; 2 songs to start: "Monsters" and "Dissension". Two very different styles, same singer.
Lovebites is so much more than just a heavy metal band. As you put more than just viewing and doing a great vocal analysis on just one song, you will realize this band has it all. From production, lyrics, vocals, song structure, dress, stage presence and performance they get an A+!
I am really interesting in hearing Asami's full mix and how far she can go, and also her head voice. If it's all well-trained she can go comfortably into the 6th octave and maybe beyond. Awesome vocalist. Powerhouse!
Finally, she is reacting to Lovebites. HELL YEAH! I ve been waiting for this review. Now i cant wait to see more because these girls deserve that-more reactions from best vocal coach youtubers. And Julia is one of the best for sure, no doubt of that... The Wolfpack RULES!
Lovebites is always so much fun. Can't be anything but happy when listening to them and then seeing someone else getting into it for the first time? Even better. From your explanation about the solo/duel (~09:30), I'd like to suggest the band Sokoninaru with their song Gou Ni Muyo. Hardly everyone's cup of tea, so I have no idea if it would work, but it's got very intricate playing while singing, with some surprises.
People suggest Swan Song, particularly with the Chopin intro, which is great and I love it. But, one that can show a little more of Asami's R&B background is Edge of the World. It starts out mellow and just ramps up the whole song. Epilogue is another one that is great for that.
I’m so glad you have made it to Lovebites at last. I’ve been listening to rock and metal for decades, and, amongst countless others have seen Geoff Tate, Ronnie Dio and Robert Plant live. I can honestly say that Asami can be mentioned in the same breath as vocalists of that calibre. It may have been Holy War I heard first, but I honestly can’t remember. That was 13 months ago. Whichever song it was, I knew before the end of the song I had a new favourite band, and I’ve been utterly and totally hooked ever since. As has been said, there is no bad Lovebites song, but, “famously” many fans will recommend the “E” songs “Edge of the World”, Epilogue” or “Empty Daydream”. Each of those showcase Asami (and the band’s) versatility. All live recordings from Zepp Diver City recommended for those three. Great reaction to the best band in metal….more please.
The band was named after the Grammy winning Halestorm song Love Bites (So Do I) . There is a video somewhere on RUclips of Asami onstage with Lzzy Hale and the boys playing that song.
your analysis and information of vocal technique/quality of a singer makes me appreciate the song even more. but its your reactions that mostly make me rewind to see again. also to read the information you include for key areas of the performance.

this reaction video makes me so happy. thank you, julia. when asami joined in 2016, she had a R&B background and absolutely no clue about metal. two years later they won metalhammers "golden god award" for best newcomer band and played wacken as first all female metal band ever. they all are musical masters and would deserve so much more recognition. one of their strongest assets is their songwriting. in five years they have created an backcatalogue of around fifty songs. and there are only very good songs or masterpieces, not even one stale or mediocre one ( and power metal can get stale easily). best next reaction choice for a vocal coach would have been their "edge of the world" live tokyo 2020, if there would be an official released video of that. so I suggest their "glory to the world" (official video).
Also, the part when two guitars play together is called harmonised solo which we guitarists love to play with our good buddies. If you have a good mate, it's a lot of fun~~~ Around 8:43 is actually the harder part IMHO, they harmonise with the use of sweep picking. That's insane skill
Let me preface by saying I'm not a metal fan. I love, love, love these women. My first reaction was wide-eyed disbelief upon stumbling across them. I find myself grinning and bopping like I'm 20 again. It must be the incongruity of the driving aggression of the music in juxtaposition with the appearance of pixies in prom dresses(not medieval middle earth cosplay attire, ugh) . It must be the prom dresses(only slightly kidding).
Here is Asami with her R&B and Soul background covering an Alicia Keys song, "If I Ain't Got You". This was 7-8 years ago when she was with her previous band as a lounger singer before she joined Lovebites and didn't know much about the heavy metal genre. ruclips.net/video/d1V_s0fjGoo/видео.html
@@evilvolts i think CD that asami sang, recorded and brought for audition of lovebites is sound source. painkiller is different from current asami vocal style. she seems to have sang like metal singer through trial and error.
Glad you finally got to them 😊 They're great, you're great. Really enjoy your reviews when you lose it a bit from enjoyment of what your are hearing or seeing.
Lovebites really got me, they sing more clearly than some native English speakers, they are excellent musicians, and they look great as well. I am only mad I found them last year, and really happy, that I did find them. They should be way more famous.
@@alizagordevilla9633 All correctly written by Douglas S. Asami began to sing metal only in 2016, when she came to LOVEBITES. Until that time, she was a soul and R&B singer . Asami also studied jazz and hip-hop dances, for this, after graduating from school, she left to live in the United States. For many years she studied classical ballet.
Welcomed to the mind-blowing world of Lovebites. These women are extremely talented, skillful and exceptional musicians. Asami is a great singer; she used to sing R&B, jazz and soul before she joined Lovebites. Miyako is a concert-level classic pianist. Their live performances are outstanding. My next recommendation is “Epilogue”, live (nice vocals and piano). Some people say that they are redefining metal. You’ve just scratched the tip of the iceberg.
Thank you so much for this fantastic reaction video, Julia. Lovebites is the fantastic metal band from Japan. This band is one of the best metal bands today. I am a metalhead and a proud member of Wolfpack. I'm 40 and in 30 years I've heard and seen many metal bands. I discovered this band half a year ago and this all-female metal band hit my heart. This band is an incredible talented band. I'm watching your reaction videos. I like to learn knowledge from professional musicians and singers. Thank you very much for the perfect analysis. It was a great honor and pleasure for me to watch this fantastic video. I highly recommend their other fantastic songs. Swang Song, Edge Of The World, Set The World On Fire, Epilogue or Shadowmaker. I love all their songs. Take care, be safe and all the best for you in 2022 :-)
That E5 is Geoff Tate's flame holding pitch isn't it.. If you'd caught the more recent release of Holy War from the 2021 gig Asami holds that extended "War" line second time around for a breathtaking 32 bars, by your metronome count! Never heard anything like it. I think at this point pretty much anyone who is a fan of Band Maid is also a fan of Lovebites. Glad you managed to get around to appreciating this Julia, and I'm fairly sure it won't be the last you do.. I wouldn't really know what gems to pull out of the bag for vocals because a lot of it is very much these ladies as a band, but you might look to the likes of "The Crusade", "Edge of the World", "When Destinies Align", "Swan Song", "Set the World on Fire", "Shadowmaker" and "Winds of Transylvania" to see her exercise a little range and technique? It's funny that you comment on her outfit.. I wondered that too but it doesn't seem to impede her ability to keep this pace for nearly two hours over this gig. Two handed tapping isn't too hard, but as with dual lead playing co-ordination is (as you say) paramount.
Her vocals stand out even more when you consider how many Japanese pop vocalists have a very soft, breathy, almost spoken quality to their singing. She obviously went a very different direction in developing her vocal style with all that depth and power. Every one of these ladies is immensely talented, the band is developing a really good body of work and they really deserve to get a lot more recognition. Glad to see you having a look. Just a note, Japanese names (words) usually give equal weight to each 'syllable', without blending, sliding or emphasizing. Thus Asami is ah sah mi. English speakers (it's a habit I had to break) tend to either under or overstress the middle such as Midori being either mi DOH ri or Meed.ri
🐺What Tibur Frank said above. If you want to hear Asami at her very best, check out Edge of the World. A vocal masterpiece ruclips.net/video/UZjxMjBop7w/видео.html (Subtitles available so you can understand the message better) WolfPack🐺
Glad that you've finally covered these lovely ladies. Love your videos. Holy War was the second song they'd performed at this concert, out of 19 in total. Most of them were at a similar level of intensity and speed and all performed with immaculate precision and technical brilliance on display. In fact some were even more intense. Some additional information regarding Lovebites: - Lovebites were formed in 2016, so they are still a relatively young band. All members had previous band experience though and it showed, because their debut album alone was better than what most bands would put out over their lifetime. Some fantastic musicianship on display. - it didn't take them long to get noticed outside of Japan and they have performed in Europe several times. They've even been to the metal mecca that is Wacken. They were the first female band from Japan to play there, apparently. Weirdly specific, I know. They've also toured the UK with famous power metal band DragonForce. - they have released three EPs and three albums so far and it's all very good stuff. They've gained a considerable amount of critical praise and even legendary fellow metal musicians such as Kiko Loureiro and Hansi Kürsch have praised them. - they are mainly influenced by older Western metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Slayer or Helloween. Bassist Miho (sadly not with the band anymore) even based her playing style on her idol Steve Harris, whom she's gotten to meet, actually. - that's why there is some strong NWOBHM influence in their music, though they are generally considered a power metal band. But they have some thrashy tracks as well, some beautiful ballads, some proggier songs, some more classic rock-sounding songs and more. There is a good amount of variety to be found. - they always wear white in order to stand out from the rest of the metal scene and the darkness surrounding metal. Plus it simply helps them actually being seen on big, dark stages, because they are all rather petite women. Most of their songs feature generally positive and uplifting lyrics as well. - most of the members are multi-instrumentalists to varying degree and even singer Asami plays some piano and composes music. She's written some of their very best songs, in fact. They have other songs where they would play piano and/or acoustic guitar live, besides their main instruments. I'm just glad that Lovebites exist. Not only do I really like their music, but they inspire me a lot as well. And it is simply great to see women play metal on such a high level. Shout-out to the whole girl metal boom that has swept Japan over the last decade. And I second the Unlucky Morpheus requests. I would love to see your take on their singer Fuki.
Great reaction. Since you are more focused on the vocal performances, I would strongly recommend as your next Lovebites reaction "Edge of the World (live 2020)", Epilogue (live 2019)" or "Swan Song (live 2020)". Great showcases of Asami's range, powerhouse voice and R'n'B background.🤘🐺🤘
This was great! Glad you enjoyed it so much and to answer your question about “tapping”, the guitar technique you brought up, it’s not very hard to learn the basic technique. What’s hard is doing it how they are and moving your hands around to different positions really quickly. You need an anchor point and with a pick that feels natural but, at least for me, I find it tough to constantly re-anchor myself when tapping.
Great reaction Julia! I hope you come back to do some more Lovebites. They're flat out amazing. Maybe one of the "E" songs, as they showcase some of Asami's R&B background, as well as Miyako's piano playing. Edge of the World or Empty Daydream. Highly recommended!!
Great perspective as always. For the guitar question I would say that the tapping using the right hand is an easier technique to master than the sweep picking they are doing just before it
Finally you react to my favotire band. Thank you Julia. So if you want to check the best asami's performance you need to check "the edge of the world (live at zepp divercity Tokyo 2020)"
Haruna is small ( 4'9") and seems so fragile, but when we hear that drum sound we imagine a giant with a truck driver's body behind the drums. but no, it's "only" Haruna and she is insane good, a 4'9" giant behind drums. Greetings from Portugal 🤘🤘
I have watched as you have grown in your appreciation of metal music and the singers in the genre on your channel. I know you would LOVE Edge of the World by Lovebites Julia. I do not want to give away the reasons, but let me say this is currently my favorite metal band because of their amazing versatility and high level of musicianship. And they kick ass. Cheers.
The Band Maid song I just heard had an amazing Bass solo was Onset could you imagine if Lovebites replaced Miho with a bassist that could solo as well as Midori and Miyako you could have intertwining lead and bass solos
@@evilvolts Lovebites doesn't need a soloing bassist, Midori and Miyako fill out the sound just fine. A bassist for Lovebites needs to hold down the bottom end like Miho did and along with Haruna, give the band that driving power that the band is known for. Band Maid is different, they basically have only one guitarist and the bass (solo's and all) is essential to their sound.
@@guitarzen5999 I LOVE bass solos so it's fun for me to speculate I hate when bass players just are always in the background and never get any recognition I may be biased though my best friend is a bassist
@@evilvolts Oh I hear you, bass solo's can be awesome. In reality though, you play what's right for the song and bass solo's aren't really a thing in Metal. Also, you are correct about bassists not getting any love, I am a recovering Metal bassist of 15 years😉
In addition to Lovebites, check out vocalist Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus. Maybe a bit less refined than Asami, but her power and range are as incredible.
Okay, I'll field your question about the guitarist part. What they're doing is called tapping. Tapping in and of itself isn't difficult. It's a technique I learned in my first year of playing when I was 18. However, there are three tapping parts in the first third of the songs where Miyako, the brunette guitarist, and Midori, the blonde guitarist, are doing eight finger tapping. That's, yeah, that's a bit tougher. I can't do it reliably, much less in unison with another guitarist at the speeds they're going. The brief pause in the music before they do it is required for them to set up for it, and the guitars come back in with some easy chords. Also, while they're doing that, Miho, the bass guitarist, is doing one-handed tapping on a bass guitar. That's not something you see very much of. The standard tapping they're doing later during the solos in and of itself isn't difficult to play, but it's the silky-smooth transitions to and away from the tapping, what comes before it and what follows it, that make it impressive to me. I'm not one to say "best" this and "better" that, but Miyako's transitions into and out of tapping are the best I've ever seen and are as gorgeous as she is. I suspect training in piano since she was three years old has something to do with it.
I for one have always appreciated just how amazing a singer Asami is as well as being a mesmerising live performer. It's little wonder that the other girls were so keen tom have her front the band especially Miyako who, so the story goes, made her own full time commitment to the band conditional upon employing Asami as the lead vocalist. Miyako is a musical genius. She knows greatness when she hears it.
@@paulread4886 In fact you've overstated Asami's height. She is 4' 10" without her heels on (Haruna is 4' 9") Miyako is the tallest girl in the band and she's only 5' 2". They are all huge in terms of talent however.
"We're not here to be cute, we're here to be heavy." I mean they are doing both but yeah, these ladies rip. They toured with DragonForce and Herman Li tried to join the band ruclips.net/video/mWVwdGi9ixI/видео.html
So glad you finally heard the voice of Asami. Geat review. The talent of these women is exceptional. There are many sugestions down below and any one of them will be a great next reaction for you. 'Edge Of The World' and 'Swan Song' (with the Chopin Etude) probably the most popular. My favorites is 'Scream For Me'. Probably more for the insane guitar work and the stage performance, than the vocals. And the vocals are brilliant.
4:32 The combination of the vocals and the instruments gives me the shivers every time, no matter how often I listen to it. Just need to find my battle axe, and I'm off to war.
Guitar tapping is a learned technique. Not too difficult but it can be learned. For it to be effective, you have to turn up the gain on your amplifier. On the bass guitar, you definitely have to turn up the gain and you can see Miho when she steps up to her footswitch, changes her gain setting, taps, and then steps on her footswitch again to turn it back to normal. As for Asami, she's one of the best front person stage general's I've seen in a long time. Names like Mick Jagger and Freddie Mercury come to mind as front men who know how to work the crowd. Notice how Asami pumps her fist and works the crowd in chanting while the breakdown riff is going and then leaves it in the raised position as a signal to the band that it's time for Miyako to break into the first solo. Excellent review of an excellent band!
great reaction, not many reactors cover asami's vocal range. would like to see what you think about "edge of the world" this lady can go to f sharp without trying. wolfpack for life.
The Wolfpack is in full effect here with a lot of info and suggestions! Another Japanese band to check out is Unlucky Morpheus and their song Dignity of Spirit. The singer is a powerhouse in the Japanese scene and has fronted at leat 4 different bands and several collaborations. She even performed with 2 different bands at a music festival singing a 2hr set with each band 🤘😊🤘
I’m biased because I’ve been a Fuki fan a lot longer than I have these newer bands, but yeah… Fuki is amazing in Unlucky Morpheus, Lightbringer, and the first Doll$Boxx album.
For being a fairly new power metal band, these girls do power metal better than a lot of bands who've been doing it for decades. The technical proficiency is just unmatched with these Japanese bands. Maybe it's just a cultural thing, where they just strive for absolute perfection. Babymetal's Kami Band of rotating members is another example of this or the very under rated Band-Maid.
Swan song + the piano intro is a good Video from that Concert to watch. A frozen Serenade is my favourite Song from Lovebites. It's such a beautiful song
Asami the one and the only voice 😍 Finally you check out Lovebites. Welcome to the world of wolfpack. Lovebites is the best one metal band right now on the earth. All the musicians on this band is insane and world class talent. Not a gimmick or fake. They effortless. Like the Goddesses. What a great reaction and great analysis by the way. Especially you explain about asami voice. I don't know anything about voice technique. But for me Asami have a rich, high, rich and unique voice. Next song from them, try they song "Set the world on fire" or "Edge of the world" Thank for your great reaction to Lovebites.
great reaction and it was very interesting how you explained all about asami's voice. just wished maybe a little more about the rest of the band. the other 4 members are equally as talented.hope you do more reactions to them. try edge of the world. that really shows off her voice.
Asami's vocals have me HYPED. Amazing energy unleashed from the band as well! Let me know what song you want me to listen to next :)
Luha by Aegis live on wish 107.5 bus. Please Julia please..They're amazing.
Epilogue, Edge of the World, Set the World on Fire and Swang Song.
I found out one of Julia's commentator is cute😆hoy !!Stop pleasing Julia✌️🙄
"Holy War" was the second song of the setlist. 19 songs played that night.
There are also different levels of tapping. Ichika Nito's tapping skill is on a God/Asian level.
@@harveynorman8787 aka Eddie Van Halen.
@@harveynorman8787 or Herman Li?
This describes it pretty well. Tapping itself isn't super hard (although precision at high temp is obviously harder) - I always found the hard part to be switching in or out of tapping
Nito is basically a tap god
LOVEBITES - Holy War - Lyrics :
Look at those black clouds, it's going to rain blood
People live in fear, covered in mud
Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
There is a thousand, a thousand of evils
Hush, do not wake up Satan's devils
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall
Reincarnation, wait for your call
Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
Morning star and dying moon
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Mighty soul, let there be hope
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and for one forevermore
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war

There aren't a lot of vocalist reactors that cover these bands (Lovebites, Band-Maid, etc)... I really appreciate the insight into these amazing singers and bands.
actually they are way more covered than european bands
maids, NO. maids singer is low level.
@@bonered9210 Compared to what? Because you're obviously such an accomplished singer: Give me an example of "low level".
@@ArvoR its true, but we cant blame them because LOVEBITES is awesome

Finally the day has come when Julia reacting to LOVEBITES... and got blown away by Asami's vocals also!! If you want more of Asami's vocals in all its glory, please react to "Edge of the World" from the same concert, or "Glory to the World" from their 2021's concert. I'm so happy right now... thanks for the reaction Julia. Cheers!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Hello, Julia. These girls are tremendous and I assure you that you will fall in love with them. They have tremendous talent. I suggest you the songs " Rising" "A frozen serenade" "Epilogue", this is a work of art, " Swan song + intro Chopin" and so many good songs. big hug
I have to add "Don't Bite The Dust" 2021 live. Asami is showing off in that one. Oh, and then there's "Crusade"... they are all so good honestly.
Wat kind of tremendous? Poops!! Hhaha
@@alizagordevilla9633 Well, okay, you're also a tremendous girl

These girls are amazing and they deserve so much more!
R&B huh? Interesting. Makes her quite versatile.
@@TheSeeking2know more rythm & blues in the classic way than R&B actually - she was also singing gospel and jazz
Asami was also a backing vocalist for a couple of rock bands.
You hit the nail on the head there my friend.
Yes! Looking forward to hear Julia's jaw hit the floor and of course also one of RUclips's best analyses of Asamis vocal performance.
this was a fun one ! I've never heard of this band but I'm a fan now.
Welcome to the wolfpack. Lovebites is phenomenal. They have about 50 songs out and they play everything from heavy thrash metal to power metal to hard rock to rock and all the way to soft ballads. Every song has killer guitar solos in it. Here are some examples to check out next:

Asami and Haruna are about 4'9" Tallest is Miyako at 5'2". I cannot get over the monster drums from Haruna.

So amazing 😍😍😍😍
Such a great song 🔥 I can't tell how much i love Midori-san ❤
Try to listen "The Crusade" for next 🙏 I really enjoy with your explain ❤
My favorite Asami performance is in the song, " Epilogue " its a ballad so musicaly its stripped back & let's her voice shine. ❤🎙😎👌
I suggested the same 2 songs : ) These girls are INSANE !
She's versatile.
Great reaction as usual 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Lovebites is so much more than just a heavy metal band. As you put more than just viewing and doing a great vocal analysis on just one song, you will realize this band has it all. From production, lyrics, vocals, song structure, dress, stage presence and performance they get an A+!
Love your explanation! Best wishes from Mexico!
the force of lovebites is this artists are CLASSICAL FORMATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You survived Lovebites Julia, Kudos.
Edge of the World contains Asami's best vocals.
There is a video somewhere on RUclips of Asami onstage with Lzzy Hale and the boys playing that song.

this reaction video makes me so happy. thank you, julia.
when asami joined in 2016, she had a R&B background and absolutely no clue about metal. two years later they won metalhammers "golden god award" for best newcomer band and played wacken as first all female metal band ever.
they all are musical masters and would deserve so much more recognition. one of their strongest assets is their songwriting. in five years they have created an backcatalogue of around fifty songs. and there are only very good songs or masterpieces, not even one stale or mediocre one ( and power metal can get stale easily).
best next reaction choice for a vocal coach would have been their "edge of the world" live tokyo 2020, if there would be an official released video of that. so I suggest their "glory to the world" (official video).
That reaction is best described as ‘Shock and Awe’…………don’t worry its a common response. hopefully you will want to hear more.
If you want to hear a very high potential sample of wath this Girl can do, you have to listen to "Edge of the World", live.
Also, the part when two guitars play together is called harmonised solo which we guitarists love to play with our good buddies. If you have a good mate, it's a lot of fun~~~ Around 8:43 is actually the harder part IMHO, they harmonise with the use of sweep picking. That's insane skill

welcome to the world of Lovebites the world of beautiful heavy, power, thrash métal.

LOVEBITES NO.1 🔥🤘❤️
UAU WHAT A BAND !!! I love so mush the vocals, she have an amazing control on her voive! This is true heavy metal band!
I believe she hits a C5 in this song but can hit an A5.

Glad that you've finally covered these lovely ladies. Love your videos.
Holy War was the second song they'd performed at this concert, out of 19 in total. Most of them were at a similar level of intensity and speed and all performed with immaculate precision and technical brilliance on display. In fact some were even more intense.
Some additional information regarding Lovebites:
- Lovebites were formed in 2016, so they are still a relatively young band.
Good job Julia!. Lovebites are amazing.
i feel ya girl. That's a live recording too.
This was great! Glad you enjoyed it so much and to answer your question about “tapping”, the guitar technique you brought up, it’s not very hard to learn the basic technique. What’s hard is doing it how they are and moving your hands around to different positions really quickly. You need an anchor point and with a pick that feels natural but, at least for me, I find it tough to constantly re-anchor myself when tapping.
new LOVEBITES song just dropped titled JUDGEMENT DAY, oh boi its a facemelter comeback song with new bassist Fami
Great reaction Julia! I hope you come back to do some more Lovebites. They're flat out amazing. Maybe one of the "E" songs, as they showcase some of Asami's R&B background, as well as Miyako's piano playing. Edge of the World or Empty Daydream. Highly recommended!!
Sweet review on a very talented band. One of my favorites.
As requested in chat, for the next Lovebites reaction: "Glory, glory to the world" ^_-
Great perspective as always. For the guitar question I would say that the tapping using the right hand is an easier technique to master than the sweep picking they are doing just before it

I do not want to give away the reasons, but let me say this is currently my favorite metal band because of their amazing versatility and high level of musicianship. And they kick ass. Cheers.
Time to have a look at Band-Maid again. They have dropped a song from their acoustic consert.
Good reaction by the way. Keep up the good work.
Also, you are correct about bassists not getting any love, I am a recovering Metal bassist of 15 years😉
This band's ideal song for a vocal coach is "edge of the world", trust me :D
In addition to Lovebites, check out vocalist Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus. Maybe a bit less refined than Asami, but her power and range are as incredible.
I love lovebites so much.. very talented band! Btw, hope you can react to this band too “venues - deceptive faces”
The other side to LOVEBITES plenty singing Epilogue Don't Bite the Dust Daughters of the Dawn Live Reaction ruclips.net/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/видео.html
If Lovebites happen to stumble across this comment, I just wanna say.. "You're untouchable Ladies! And streets ahead of everyone else"
And this was only the 2nd song on a 2h concert... with most of the songs like this or even some of them, faster!.
Edge of the world....really shows asami amazing ability
I'd love to see you react to "Don't bite the dust" by them, there's some amazing vocals in that one!
Next lovebites "set the world on fire"
Finally some recognizes how amazing Asami’s voice is.
Asami is5' 2'' , and all that power , she is a giant talent on stage. And the drummer Haruna is 4'10" of dynamite on speed. WT F ?????
@@paulread4886 In fact you've overstated Asami's height. She is 4' 10" without her heels on (Haruna is 4' 9") Miyako is the tallest girl in the band and she's only 5' 2". They are all huge in terms of talent however.
Love this band. Lovebites, Nemophila, and Band Maid.
The guitars in Scream For Me are the only highlight of that song.
@@ChadTheDragonLord I reckon the rest of the song is pretty good too. And the stage work.
Oh yeah, they concert is like +2 hours of duration. Her stamina is that great.
great reaction, not many reactors cover asami's vocal range. would like to see what you think about "edge of the world" this lady can go to f sharp without trying. wolfpack for life.
Lovebites! This is the band, THIS IS THE BAND!!
Asami the one and the only voice 😍
Finally you check out Lovebites.
Next song from them, try they song "Set the world on fire" or "Edge of the world"
Thank for your great reaction to Lovebites.
great reaction and it was very interesting how you explained all about asami's voice. just wished maybe a little more about the rest of the band. the other 4 members are equally as talented.hope you do more reactions to them. try edge of the world. that really shows off her voice.
Welcome to lovebites
