So far no, the exploration and finding where to go is the hard part for me. I went into this DLC with my best character at lvl 150. Basically does alot of damage and poise damage. Very fast and tanky as a start for the DLC. I counter enemies with the right talismans and I use crab legs item for extra defense. My other characters will probably have a very hard time. But the key I noticed to the DLC is exploration finding the Scadutree fragments makes it way easier. Good Luck man!
There's a lot I wanna say, so let me start with addressing the "DLC is too hard" BS then I'd like to give a little advice that'll hopefully help your playthrough in this DLC. So first things first as someone who's beaten 6 of the 10 remembrance bosses I can say right now. Yes this DLC is hard, but it's not so hard the game should be negatively reviewed. The people who give bad reviews for this DLC 2/3rds of them aren't exploring and engaging with the content. If you're struggling with the bosses there's ways to deal with them; level up your vigor as well as your damage stat(s), wear good or at minimal decent armor, don't just spam ashes of war or one specific move use your full move set as you read the bosses move set, if you're really struggling and aren't enjoying the challenge then level up and use an Ash spirit, make sure all your talismans are putting in the most work and that you're not using one that's not making you your best, COLLECT AND USE SCADUTREE FRAGMENTS!! and the list goes on. There's so many ways to make yourself better so you can manage these bosses well. Giving up and crying because you can't spam your ash of war or jump attack to win just shows you're not willing to put in the work to earn these wins. Also that's not directed at you Celest, I say all of this against the people poorly reviewing this masterpiece. Although what I said above is also lowkey advice if you ever find yourself struggling. Now that I've vented and given advice about the difficulty I wanna discuss my experience and give some practical advice. I said it before, but I'll emphasize it here. Explore and engage. This DLC has the best map when it comes to exploring. I know people dislike how at times it feels empty but to me that adds to the atmosphere of this war torn land. The level design has never been this intricate it's amazing. Explore and get Scadutree fragments to level up your Scadutree Blessing level. There's 50 Scadutree Fragments in the DLC and 20 levels worth of Scadutree Blessing levels. I'm currently at Scadutree Blessing level 10 and I got roughly 330 extra damage on all of my weapons and as for damage I feel like I take half the amount I could when I was at blessing level 1. I'm currently not leveling my blessing level past 10 so I can see how effective it is. Honestly I feel like I do good damage and receive an appropriate amount of damage as well, but if you're struggling I see no reason why you shouldn't level your Scadutree Blessing beyond level 10 to levels 11-20. As for the Revered Ash blessings I got mine to Level 6 and I know the max level for it is 10, but I don't know how many you need to max it out. The base game has OK to kinda poor side dungeons. They're fine for a first playthrough but after that lose attraction fast with very low incentive to do unless they got an item you need and know its there. The side dungeons in this DLC are a whole different story, they all have really good or at minimal neat and useful items to get. So I very much so recommend doing the DLC's side content if you want really cool new weapons and armor sets. Lastly lemme briefly without spoilers discuss the Remembrance bosses/bosses in general as well as how I feel about the new weapons I've used thus far. I think the DLC weapons are all good, but are kinda at opposition with the main games good weapons. What I mean by that is the DLC weapons have good, but not crazy damage and to make up for that have really good ashes of war and movesets. Meanwhile the base game weapons are VERY strong, but lack in their move sets. So it becomes a question: do you want a weapon with an OK or below par move set with high damage, or do you want good damage but an insanely good move set? I personally like the DLC weapons a lot because I didn't care too much for the base games weapons. To each their own though. As for the bosses, even with my higher Scadutree Blessing at level 10 these bosses are some of the hardest Fromsoft has ever made and I've had to REALLY lock in and read their moveset along with tempering myself to win. So far 4 of the 6 Remembrance bosses I've fought have all pushed me about as hard as Malenia's second phase did (only her second phase not her first and second phase) 2 of them were VERY strong but not too bad. So however that makes you feel that's how they've been for me so far. Oh and the Lion Dancer can sometimes share a healing flask with you so at some points if you heal he can heal along with you, but I have no clue how or what triggers this. My overall consensus is: this is my favorite Fromsoft DLC as of right now. The content is really good I just wish I engaged more with the NPC's as I've only engaged with a handful of them. All the Fromsoft DLC's have good bosses with 1 or 2 of them being mid or bad. This DLC has no bad bosses outta the Remembrance bosses at least from what I've faced thus far, and ALL of them that I've faced have been hard. There's not been an easy main boss fight yet lol. A few bosses such as Rellanna, Messmer and Putrescent Knight are decent enough although I think their long combos can border on overtune, making the fight boring when you can only hit them 1-2 times and then, dodge until they end their combos. On the other hand, you have bosses like that fat hippo and pig rider Knight with their janky hitbox for both and less than ideal arena for the former, which makes me wonder whether they playtested the game.
@@nohharu6105 Honestly though I think a lot of the design in these bosses was due to people complaining that the base game was too easy. I believe it's very likely that a lot of how the DLC is different from the base game can be traced to peoples complaints against the base game. From boss difficulty to the nice variety to the side dungeons. If we can get some performance patches I think things will be looking good overall. I do think messmer's second phase needs a little patching with his hit boxes. Rellana's fight was fine imo, but Putrescent's I definitely agree with you he just keeps going, eventually I got the rhythm but sheesh was it tough. Hippo wasn't so bad once I started horizontally dodging him, and I've not yet faced Pig Knight but I think I'm at his boss gate so we'll have to see how that goes. Hopefully you're enjoying the DLC overall though dude. I'm having a blast so far, even with the little bits of jank here and there lol.

Some of the DLC bosses just borders on difficult and unfun unlike the base game, where bosses like Godfrey and Radagon, heck even Fire Giant, become fun once you've mastered them. These bosses have combos yet reasonable windows for player's to attack. But the latest bosses' attacking patterns are, combo 5-8 and then your turn to attack once and twice, if you have a chance (I'm looking at you Rellanna despite the fact I love you. 😂) All the best for the pig rider. He was the first boss in the DLC that made me want to throw my controller with how janky his hitbox is, and I thought the fat hippo was bad. The part I am having fun in the DLC is being a sunbro. Always love helping people out.

Thanks man, I'm gonna need it. Honestly at the time I raged at the Sunflower (I don't wanna say its name in case Celest reads this) Now that he's behind me though I actually really liked his fight I just disliked how wide spread his close ranged thorns were. Otherwise he was fun. Big hand boss was also a pretty fun fight but there were a few annoying moves in there.(again censoring her name just in case Celest or someone unspoiled reads this) Also idk if it's just me but I actually really dig the normal mob enemies in this DLC more than in the base game. Fighting them with a decent Scadutree blessing is also fun. Between that and the fun I have in the map and in the side content overall I'm just having a blast. So I hope others enjoy it as well. I'll continue trying to leave fun messages for others. Hopefully you can continue to enjoy this DLC as well my friend. Praise the Sun! and don't you dare go Hollow.

I can't say I've struggled with SOET yet, I've collected the required scadutree fragments throughout the playthrough which makes the experience less stressful. A lot of players are not doing that, making it ten times harder to beat bosses
@@ImCelest Oh, that's kinda convoluted, I found it while exploring aimlessly. There is a place on south called Cerulean shore (with blue glowing flowers), and on one of the beaches directly near the sea there is a bunch of demi-humans. Their demi-human queen boss drops this weapon. I guess Cerulean Shore can be accessed in different ways, I just found a guy who sold poison items and descended on nearby rocks to cave-ish river and followed it.

Renallas swords do fire and magic. But while you're in the transition between this vid and your next one You'd probably want to go back to the base game and enter one of the 4 legged giants with mausoleums on them and duplicate renallas spirit and get her other ability it's awesome and does a lot of damage, 1 downside to it though is that the charge time is a bit long.

It will save your blood pressure😂 the only boss ive had problems with was the 3rd main boss. Everything else ive beaten in less then 5 attempts because i spent a day exploring the map and getting my scadutree fragments up. I would so be down for an exploration episode!

I never noticed this Boss can heal, it sounds like the sounds when you pop a potion so I think one of the dudes under the puppet is popping the potion, probably the guy in the back of the Lion, he looks like he his struggling to keep up with the two guys in front part of the puppet.
Least from my experience in the dlc, is that a lot of bosses could be harder or easier pending on the build you use. cause I had a pretty hard time with rellana but got through the dancing lion in two attempts.
My Shadow of the Erdtree playthrough is also out. I've played Dancing Lion in an interesting way. I also used some of your ideas and humor in my videos since you've partly inspired me, Celest. I hope you like it. Great work as always! Much love.
if you NG+ and you fight this boss again notice how every time he bites you and you right after he heals. he life steals the heal that you give yourself so dont heal for the rest of the fight and your good :)
Main game is for casual players, the DLC is for hardcore players, simple as that, people expected to cheese everything with summons and broken weapons and they just got stomped, me personally im having a lot of fun exploring the dlc, many weapons, new bosses, new areas, new characters, and some new armors looks sick as hell
I literally don't understand... are people actually unable to first try bosses while using their mimic??? I LITERALLY have only lost to any boss when I haven't used my mimic... which is a last resort... because I easily beat them when I did

Getting stuck in a game does suck, one of the bosses i did struggle with was the hippo, with some very ds2 hitboxes, but then again i had options on how to approach him, some people just want to stick and use one weapon and not make changes to their builds

The thing is it’s so hard to play the dlc because I’m on NG+7 and literally a trolls roar takes half my health and a random npc can 2-3 shot me and the dogs have 4K hp and it’s all early game😭 and I’m wearing a dragon crest that makes take %20 less damage but it feels like it doesn’t even matter
So mKe a new character like most ppl did including myself, there's no such thing as to hard? Especially when there's like 80 summons and a broken easy mode one called Mimic aswell as u can summon other real players

Definitely gets waayyyyy worse than this Lion. First phase do basic dodge routine for safe pokes and dodge towards him when doing circular smoke spray. Free hits, stance break him and youre good.
I can first try Malenia solo, so nah it’s not that challenging for me. I’m having a blast with this DLC. And the difficulty is perfect, just explore like we did with the base game and it will be rewarding

The light greatswords were something I was excited for as a PvP player but they turned out really underwhelming but in pve they’re nice imo
I never noticed this Boss can heal, it sounds like the sounds when you pop a potion so I think one of the dudes under the puppet is popping the potion, probably the guy in the back of the Lion, he looks like he his struggling to keep up with the two guys in front part of the puppet.
Yeah I think so. It looked like to me as soon as I healed he took my hp lol
After getting hit by the bite move the boss takes effects from your healing flask if used while you have the red aura around you
Least from my experience in the dlc, is that a lot of bosses could be harder or easier pending on the build you use. cause I had a pretty hard time with rellana but got through the dancing lion in two attempts.

if you NG+ and you fight this boss again notice how every time he bites you and you right after he heals. he life steals the heal that you give yourself so dont heal for the rest of the fight and your good :)

Main game is for casual players, the DLC is for hardcore players, simple as that, people expected to cheese everything with summons and broken weapons and they just got stomped, me personally im having a lot of fun exploring the dlc, many weapons, new bosses, new areas, new characters, and some new armors looks sick as hell
I literally don't understand... are people actually unable to first try bosses while using their mimic??? I LITERALLY have only lost to any boss when I haven't used my mimic... which is a last resort... because I easily beat them when I did
@@FFNOJG i think is they don't like to waste too much time on one boss maybe? Getting stuck in a game does suck, one of the bosses i did struggle with was the hippo, with some very ds2 hitboxes, but then again i had options on how to approach him, some people just want to stick and use one weapon and not make changes to their builds

Then there giving it bad reviews hopfully fromsoft doesn't make there next games dlc easier because of it , if it's to hard for u use summons or get good I love that the games hard, easy games just get boring af , if u haven't played all the fromsoft souls games or if u dont at least plan on playing them then the dlc prob isn't for u. The thing is it’s so hard to play the dlc because I’m on NG+7 and literally a trolls roar takes half my health and a random npc can 2-3 shot me and the dogs have 4K hp and it’s all early game😭 and I’m wearing a dragon crest that makes take %20 less damage but it feels like it doesn’t even matter
I'm at that point in NG+, and i've been using the upgrades you find exploring and still dying anywhere between 1-4 hits pending on the enemy.
So mKe a new character like most ppl did including myself, there's no such thing as to hard? Especially when there's like 80 summons and a broken easy mode one called Mimic aswell as u can summon other real players
@@canadat4380 trust me the mimic isn't overpowered none of them are, not even the new ones. But I am getting through it, just dying a lot to bosses. Everything else is fine just gotta be patient and not act like a over confident idiot.

Definitely gets waayyyyy worse than this Lion. First phase do basic dodge routine for safe pokes and dodge towards him when doing circular smoke spray. Free hits, stance break him and youre good.

I can first try Malenia solo, so nah it’s not that challenging for me. I’m having a blast with this DLC. And the difficulty is perfect, just explore like we did with the base game and it will be rewarding
