    I discovered I could make jump rings from my wire scraps a few weeks ago, but oh wow, i didn't even know double flush cutters were a thing! That will make it so much easier. Thank you so much for your videos, they're really helpful.

    What is the double cutter? How different from reg cutter? Also, for obe jump ring do you make 2 wraps on the pliers? Nit sure how many tomes you go around…?

    • @HeatherBoydWire
      @HeatherBoydWire  8 месяцев назад

      The Xuron double flush cutters makes a straight cut on both sides of the wire. For the jump rings I would make one full turn around on the tapered round nose pliers or go around several times on the bail-maiking pliers.

    With the Double flush cutter for jump rings... how often do you find you need to replace/ sharpen your blades( do you get them sharpened or do you just replace them???) Or do you feel the saw is the better way to go??? ( how often do you need to get new blades)
    Thx and & thx for getting hammered 🔨🔨 & wired for me .. so big of you heheh !!♥☻☺

      Hi Vikki: I actually rarely make jump rings so am not sure how resilient the double flush cutters are. Maybe you can contact the Xuron company. I think the saw method makes a cleaner cut and is easier to use. The blades are pretty resilient and are not expensive in any case. Good luck.

    I bought those same douvle sided flush cutters. Y'all dont do it. Maybe i got sent a faulty one, but using the tip doesnt work. It only bends the wire. The back of it works but its too difficult to use when the wire is coiled.
    Definitely go for the saw if youre making your own

      The saw is always a better option for professional quality jump rings.

      May I ask the type/hardness of wire you're using?

    • @HeatherBoydWire
      @HeatherBoydWire  2 года назад

      The key is to use a good wire and make sure they are cut flush to the ends line up perfectly. I used 18g Artistic wire in this video, you can use half-hard wire if you go for a thinner gauge like 20g. Good luck.

    I use 22 but it’s stuff not stiff enough to make rings even to use for pendants

    • @HeatherBoydWire
      @HeatherBoydWire  2 месяца назад

      22g is quite thin. You can use 20 or 18g for jump rings.

    bruh i bought the double flush cutters and they cant cut thru 18 gauge stainless steel wire. they keep sliding off and nowthey look damaged

    • @HeatherBoydWire
      @HeatherBoydWire  4 месяца назад +1

      I would only use memory wire cutters to cut steel, especially 18g!

      @@HeatherBoydWire is it okay if I ask the difference between memory wire and normal wire?
