Not a bad video but the reason he has the leaves and stuff going into the mass air flow screen is because you have to use a screwdriver to really pry that air filter into the little bottom two stops... it was difficult I had to use WD-40 around the Rubber seal and then really squish it in there and give it 30 seconds to squash and then use a screwdriver to really pry it and push it down so it presses hard against the face that's why everyone just drops their filter in and the dirt is just getting sucked right around the bottom seal... do everything this guy does good detail on the video sorry I didn't make one myself my battery is dead but squish it, squirt it, press it pry it and shove it down..

When in the video did he clean the air filter. He cleaned the stuff off the mas air screen that's it.
I need to clean my filter soon. Last time I gave it to my loyal mechanic, he really ripped me off, to change it with a new one. And this goes with loyal mechanics!

I think it's a problem: 2:44 - 2:48, the filter has moved! It became 1:43 and 2:01. This error was also found on an SDF tractor.
I'll just curious why you labeled the video as cleaning the air filter when you didn't clean the filter at all. Should have labeled it as cleaning the airbox and mass air screen.

The filter was not fully seated.

To be fair, the air box / filter is a terrible GM design. That filter is really really hard to get seated you have to use a little sil-lube so it compresses and seats properly!

Your air filter was not seated properly, there should not be any debris on the MAF
It could be not seated before from the previous owner or whoever installed it but after this video cleaning it was all good and I checked after 6 months and it was clean.
