I cannot even distract my dog once she sees another dog, it can be an extreme and explosive situation. Even small prey like a squirrel, bird she'll try to dart. Shes a rescue and we love her dearly and she's come a long way but I'm unable to allow off leash for fear of her taking off. Been trying to get dog daycare to socialize her but when i have her around other dogs she gets aggressive, puts her paws up on them as in dominance stand and gets snippy. These issues are causing problems. Also since we rescued (previous owner surrendered) in feb weve been unable to leave her alone at all or cannot crate her. So that's problematic for us too. I realize im not the most knowledgeable to train her but I'm making efforts and she's very smart and made progress. Im just older and deal with illness. So I need results and good tips.
