I was hoping that someone would show Wode Maya and Miss Trudy some of Portmore. It is important and a real Jamaican success that this area of St. Catherine has been developed since JA independence in 1962. The population has moved into residential communities in Portmore and I am sure Downtown Kingston will be ready for development soon.
I don’t have much information on Portmore so I wouldn’t be the best person to show them there. I took them downtown and they saw some of it. They have started the redevelopment of downtown, not finished yet but it has come a long way.

When I went to Ghana 5 years ago and it was great Ghana 🇬🇭 reminds me so much of my home country Jamaica 🇯🇲 I am a fan of Maya I have never met him before but thank you for taking him around and showing off my Jamaica and my Kingston❤

I prefer the freshness of Jamaican fish over Ghana’s. I got excited whenever fish was on the menu in Ghana. I was disappointed though because whenever I took my first bite, the staleness was overwhelming.
Is it the preparation or storage?
My time spent in Ghana was amazing. I felt like I was in Jamaica most of the time. So much of Jamaica looks just like areas in Ghana. Everyone, especially my black brothers and sisters should visit at least once. I will definitely return.
I enjoyed my time there too. I would definitely go back. I know they serve a lot of Tilapia and they do a lot of Tilapia farming- Fresh water. I’m not sure If the fact that it’s fresh water fish why the taste would be different. I want to go back too but In a way cooler month. 😩
