A day in the life of a Developer... (at an Australian Agency)

- I'll take you through a real week in my life as a developer, everything from coding, emails, meetings, teamwork, mentoring and much more!
Being a dev doesn't just mean you code HTML, CSS, JS everyday. As a junior developer, this is what I did, but now that I am more in a senior role, much of my time is more involved in planning and mentoring, as well as completing projects which can take months rather than days.
A day in the life of a software engineer or developer essentially looks like this. I have a great group of people I work with, between Daz, Sam, Jordy and many more, we all collaborate and code and make websites on a daily basis!

I work from home and everybody automatically thinks that it means I am just at home relaxing all day. One of my neighbours even commented that her husband's job is quite difficult '...not like working from home!' We also had a workman here a couple of times and even he said '...must be nice being at home all day!'
I love the fact that I don't have any kind of commute but work is still work, whether I'm at home or not. And I'm often working at 11pm while my neighbour with the 'difficult' job is fast asleep.
What's your job if I can ask

It's the Macbook Pro with 8GB or RAM, plenty of specs for a developer (unless you are doing some render heavy work)!!

One of the best things to with with Australians is they always encourage, helpful and stand with you all the time . You look same as my manager when I started working in Deakin University. Australia is the best place to work as software engineer :)

The most important question here is - how do you find G9 for productivity, gaming, and general use? I have been on the fence since it came out. The curve scares me but at the same time, that's the only thing that's practical about this monitor.

Yeah, one meeting a week is a dream come true. Rest of the time just coding. Love my job.
There are far more distractions in open plan offices than most home offices. The pandemic has demonstrated conclusively that moving from working in distracting offices to working from home increases productivity.

Fruit salads is healthy, but it also contains lots of sugar, and that will race your mind and your concentration will drop. Try more less sugar stuff, for me, when I have rolled oats (coarse type) yogurt etc (less sugar type) gives me a more calm mind and I concentrate more. Try meditation in the morning..!
