Jesus would have forgiven all his sins and wiped his pain away, if only he confessed his sins and repented and Kratos wouldn’t even bound by the his past anymore. thats the difference between Greek gods and Jesus who is God. Jesus is able to forgive all sins no matter how evil they were.

from what I heard when he opened pandora's box,people who know at least a bit greece mythology know that in PB were,if I can call it "sins" and other things like hate,jealousy etc.etc. and when he opened it,he became a god and plus some doubts from the PB made zeus a bad guy cuz he thounght that kratos is gonna overthrow him etc.
And now Kratos can't even jump to a ledge and needs Atr to get a chain.
what i never understood: It wasnt even kratos´s fault that he killed his family, Ares turned him into a bloodthirsty berserker and transported his family into the Temple that was raided by kratos... so even if Kratos killed his family with his own hands, how is this his sin when all actions that lead up to it and are the cause of it another persons fault? :-/

The pact he made to ares is his path to destruction. The fact is, he's willingly to make the pledge, thus become ares servant that led to that event. Even during the raid, he was warned to not enter that specific place, but being a bloodthirsty berserker, he ignored it then slay the person (including his family). So he was led by ares then warned by the elder there yet the carnage still happens. who to blame? Ares ofc, but still if only he listen to that elder warning...

That was a dick move. They knew precisely what Kratos meant and he served them loyally for 10 years. He never asked to be the God Of War. He had a grudge against the gods because of their betrayal(which later turned into complete hate when he learnt they had taken Deimos away).

It was supposed to be a tragedy, the ending where he kills himself was supposed to be the true ending and then his brother (Deimos) seen in the secret ending was supposed to be the hero of the second game. But then Sony focus tested the game and Kratos was really popular, so they fucked it all up.
