I don't know how you don't have way more people following. I watch entirely too many youtube videos on building boxes and this is one of the best hands down
I've been woodworking for quite a few years. You've humbled me and taught me a couple new tricks I"ve never thought of trying. Very Nice! Keep them coming!
Pleasure watching your process and your beautiful work piece. Your explanations are very educational and clearly show your high level of craftsmanship. Very well done, Sir!
Thats a beautiful box and I enjoyed the video. Started woodworking when I retired 5 years ago and wish I had started a lot sooner. I look for inspiration on RUclips and you have certainly provided that. Thank you
Thank you very much David. Woodworking and retirement go hand in hand. I'm sure you already know, there are lots of projects in family's minds, so keep it up.
I just came across this video and I really enjoyed it. You packed a lot of information into this video without getting bogged down with rambling commentary. And the box is absolutely gorgeous.
Exactly! Rambling commentary on most videos is so annoying. I've watched 15 minute videos that only have 5 minutes of relative content due to rambling.
I am new to woodworking and have watched a lot of videos over the last six months. I learned a lot from this video. It is so easy to make inexperienced mistakes and make something you are not satisfied with in the end. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and tips with us!
A true Master at work! It was delightful to watch and learn from such an experienced craftsman. So many tidbits were given i don't know were to start...I could watch this video 5 ×and learn something new each time, thank you very much!
I’ve built boxes before, mostly for new grandchildren, memory boxes. I loved this jewelry box, listening to your voice, very enjoyable. If ur selling plans I’ll buy one.
Wow! What a great video! Watching you make the lid was very stressful. To me that was the hardest part of the build. Your craftsmanship is amazing! Keep up the good work. Joseph, Mission Viejo CA.
This is the second time that I have come across this video, enjoy you precise explanations throughout the build . I have only started woodworking four years ago you inspire me to be a better woodworker patience is the key thank you.
@@RonMulletWoodwork looking at it I’m wondering if it’s because the box, lid, draws are all clean sharpe square edges and then you have the slightly chunky curved leg bits coming out detracting from the rest of the box? I see why you’ve done it and it’s been done very well just doesn’t quite work for me. Think if any legs at all, I’d have done just very small square ones under each corner.
Thanks for showing this . Ive been through lots of designs and like this one the best so I'm making this box for my granddaughter and you said the final demensions are 14W x 9H x 7 D. With the face dimensions of 9H I can't figure out the draw widths and the top section using 1/2" separator and 3/4" bottom section. Can you give me the top and draw widths that will add up to 9" using 1/8" saw blade thickness.
Good question. I wasn't clear that the front starts out at least 9" wide. Make all the cuts starting from the bottem and you will end up with the right dimensions for the drawers etc. Then you can cut the remaining width to what ever total dimension you want. Then you cut the back and sides to matching width. Good luck.
Nice job!! I like the way that you did your layout. Was the light on your trim router standard? If so, can you tell me the make and model? If it is something that you did your self can you provide the make and model of the lamp? If you have anything down on paper, I would like to see that. Keep up with the great videos!
Thank you Steven. The light is a simple pencil style with a flexable end. It is tie wraped to the router. I don't have any plans. The box is 14w x9h x7d. I'm pleased you liked the video.
@@RonMulletWoodwork well..... I would have bet my whole pay check on this one. I have plenty of Bubinga, Rosewood and Zebrawood at home (and MANY others) and I will still go out on a limb and say Zebrawood.
Beautiful work, Ron. I really appreciate the pointers along the way. Thank you.
Thank you for watching.
Thank you Ron...thats the best box making tutorial on u tube...and boy have i searched! Learned a lot ..thank you again Sir.
Thank you. That is quite a compliment.

Beautiful I absolutely love working with curly Maple
Thank you Eric. I agree. You can never go wrong by adding some Curly Maple.

Very nicely done! I told my wife I would make her a jewelry box and I can borrow much of this! Thank you!
Please do. I have made over 30 of these and the clients told me the recipients were very pleased,
What a lovely box and great video. I’d really like to see more of the process please! Awesome 👏
Thank you for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

It was very meticulous and very clean work. Congratulations. I learned useful techniques. Thanks.
Thank you. I have made several of these and I never get tired of making them.
Fantastic build. You have so much knowledge. Enjoyed watching a master at his trade!
Thank you Trevor. It was a joy to build.

Thank you Derek, Enjoy your journey.
Wow! What a pleasure it is to watch a master at his craft! Amazing build sir! The detail is awesome!
Thank you Layne in Chains. Details always add to the satisfaction of a build.
Really nice build professionally done (although personally I’m not sure about the legs). Thanks.
Thank you Russell. What is your opinion of the legs?
@@RonMulletWoodwork to my eye they don’t fit with the box. No doubt just a personal thing as no one else mentioned it :). What were the dimensions?

Beautiful Ron, would you have plans available for this project?
Thank you for watching. No, I don't.
Very cool. Your design?
Thank you. Yes it is. I have been building this jewelry box for 20 years.
The best
Thank you Javier.
BEAUTIFUL!!!! I think the handles are actually Zebrawood, not Bubinga
Thank you for watching. When I built this, I did not have any Zebrawood in my wood inventory.
