      @@NOTTApro142 but... Why? Is it just 'that's for quads'? Are quads not as cool and therefore it's seen as bringing down the bike? I just don't understand 😅

    • @NOTTApro142
      @NOTTApro142 6 месяцев назад

      @@jameshealy4594 no. It's preference really, but thumb throttle are mainly seen and come stock on quads because the bars do not require as firm of a grip and control as on dirtbikes. Dirtbikes have twist throttles mainly. When you put a thumb throttle on a dirtbike it looks unnatural. And is harder to use than on a quad.

    Back in 2015 I purchased my first brand new machine it was a 700 grizzly. I always dreamed about going into the show room and walking around looking at the bikes then sitting down to do the paperwork in person and experience all that fun.......But I never got so lucky. I was on the other side of the country for work for 6 months and my home dealership had a smoking deal. I wasn't going to be home for 2 more months so I had to wire my girlfriend the money and have her go buy it for me. Yamaha delivered it and when I came home 2 months later I had a brand new Grizzly waiting for me. I was kind of sad that I didn't get to experience the show room jitters and purchasing rush but it was a savings of 3 grand so I had to jump on it. But every time I see someone in the show room getting their new bike I think about what I missed out on. Congrats on the new bike.

    buying a new bike that noone has butchered is a special thing. None of the bolts are seized. No lost 2nd key from the previous owner. Opportunity to keep a full service history. Gas tank isn't dinged inside by people banging the hose nozzle. No paint chipped off around the key hole where someone used their whole key chain loaded with a million keys that flapped around as they rode the bike.

    Awesome!, Congratulations, you deserve it! I grew up on dirt bikes, switched to quads for a while but now am back on bikes. I ride a YZ250 that I bought used like everything I've owned. I'm 47 and still say one of these days I'll pull the string on a new bike. You've given me motivation to go ahead and do it. Get yourself a good set of bark buster hand guards. If you plan on riding tight single track, consider cutting your bars 1/4 to 1/2 inch on each side. I will make a world of difference. Enjoy!

    Mike a trick to not braking levers is just make the clamps tight enough that they stay but if you smack it, itll move! And buy a few air filters lol, and a spare bolt kit! Check bolts every few rides, I almost lost a fender haha😂. And hold on with your legs!!! Squeeze hard and relax your arms! It will take a long time to build muscle where you don’t get so tired. It took about 2 summers for me and i can stand the whole time now.

    I love the smell of fresh bikes at the dealership. Brings me back to my childhood drooling over the bikes in the showroom.

      They should make air fresheners and candles with that scent of new bikes and quads:). Hey, I think I’m onto something.. candles called bikes and quads and it will smell just like a showroom filled with dirt bikes and quads and racing fuel:)!

    That's awesome man! Been on quads my whole life and I've always wanted a dirt bike too. One of these days before I'm too old I'm going to get one lol something about watching dirt bikes riding single track is so entertaining, looks like a blast. Good choice I believe on the 250 as well these modern 250s are very fast and all you need.

    Congrats man! It was great to see the behind the scenes action of putting the bike together that we don’t normally get to see. Have a blast with it and keep up the great work!

    ahhh the memories .. 1998-2001/2 that was my job, I traveled south Ga for 2 Dealerships that had 4 locations(Savannah , Brunswick, Hinesville) and thats all I did, had my own rig consisting of the tools , jacks, air comp, manuals fuel caddy.. luckily they had forklifts .. I assembled all the brands at that time too.. bikes , dirt bikes, quads, skis, muels, ARGOs, even polaris n Victory & second gen Indian .. pay sucked in todays numbers but back then I was happy to do it per hour plus per unit fee aaand I got first test ride on everything !! I too have never bought anything New NEW from the dealer.. close tho, a new 2003 Indian Spirit Delux display w 0 miles (because they took a few parts for customer repairs) in 2006 ..so it was new but wasnt lol..

    Last summer my neighbor let me ride his kx450f and his son let me ride his kx250f now being an almost 40yo 2 stroke rider having owned kx80 rm70 eventually at 16 I bought a 79 cr125 Elsinore and in my 20s owned a kx450 quad first year they came out in 07 I will say this the newer 4stroke mx are insane now the kx250f was much easier to handle and didn't want to kill me like the kx450f wanted too 😂 absolutely insane amount of torque in those mx450 bikes omg never in my life had I been so reluctant to open it up and I was in dunes 😂😂😂

    I took my 2007 R6 home in the crate… the only reason it was allowed is because my grandfather owned a Yamaha dealership and the bike was going back to that shop to be assembled. I purchased from a different dealer and brought it to my grandfathers 🤷‍♂️. Otherwise like Mike said, this normally won’t happen. Even under my circumstances it took persistence
    Edit: also, my uncle is a certified Yamaha tech so even though I assembled it, he was there to sign off. Honestly, there wasn’t much to be done

    Unfortunately ktm owens HUsaberg too. I absolutely HATE how ktm purchased HUSABERG just to shut them down. Fear of competition is so lame, and should drive you to do better, not just purchase them and shut them down. Give HUSABERG back to the people, and grow a pair...!
