Their melodies and lyrics would have fit into the 1930s and 40s. Fred Astaire could have sung this. Irving Berlin or Noel Coward could have written it. This is true for a great many of their songs which often have really strong beautiful melodies. Tenant and Lowe ought to be considered more widely as top tier song writers.

This is a first time I'm hearing this song. I'm looking at all my PSB albums and it's not there. Which album was this song released on? Is it a B Side?
This song appears on their "Pop Art--The Hits" album. It may have been a B Side or on one of their other albums, but of all their albums I have, this is the only album this song is on.

If I remember right, the song came out as a single in 2003. And some of the case/jacket or whatever you call it was scented with Yardley lavender. The Boys even joked that this was their best smelling single 😄
It was a one off single for Popart compilation. The 12" was stunning, the cds were stunning and there was a limited edition with scented cases.
If it is on TOTP, it is a single release. TOTP never did B sides. 👍

This tv show Top of the Pops was always lipsynced/mimed except for a period during the 90s.
In other words, everyone who went on this show did this, not just PSB.
I think this country and world needs a bleeding miracle right now. Imagine if POOF, all our tyrannical leaders simply disappeared over night! The Pets need to write a dance anthem, like Covid City Boy or something, about the madness of wearing masks, losing your business and zero human contact. :)
