i did also whipped out my notebook for some of the more complex puzzles, i know i can do them in my head, but i don't want to kill my brain cell that way.

Liyue was a colossus to explore back in the day, and remained a lasting behemoth of a region even after Inazuma is released. While Inazuma's archipelago gives it a different and fresh flavor. Nothing could truly beat gazing out from a mountain you climb so painstakingly in Liyue, only to gander at even higher peaks. Clouds and fogs obscuring the horizon, and a perfect sunrise slowly bathes the screen in warm, orange hue, and it would gave way to Liyue's mostly golden highlands and Sandbearer trees. Then you just, without even the shred of knowledge where you're going, stumble into Liryue Harbor--a haven of a port town, hidden behind towering mountains.
It is absolutely a feast to travel through, and alongside the ruins and their intricate puzzles, and the stories behind those ruins. Liyue is just filled with narrative. So many that I probably just glossed over on my first walk, even in the second walk around certain areas.
Your video really does encapsulate that wonder of discovering AGAIN, long after I and probably most people, had moved on from this region.

and then there's me, who actually was a little bit dissapointed when first came to Liyue and my thoughts were "meh, Mondstat is better"... And then I saw Inadzuma and thought ... "meh, Mondstat and Liyue are better"...

@@McGallagher32 AND liyue has amazing music all throughout so it easily wins, inazuma is way too gloomy sometimes that it gets annoying and mondstadt is once again generic
when you walked through that stone archway that slowly reveals liyue harbor is so Godly, even Inazuma City didn't have that effect.
it feels better when you are looking down from the high ground than looking up, reason for people who love to hike, the view is the reward for your hardworking toward the peak.
Inazuma was great in it's own way though. It's really dark and mysterious.
Inazuma scares me. Liyue is the place where I want to rest my character but Mondstadt is my safe home 😂 the safest place for me is Mondstadt.
This is the one of the only genshin RUclipsrs you should watch if you’re trying to feel the nostalgia from early game change my mind

Love how you are taking your time exploring and just appreciating the game for what it is at a steady pace. Trying to rush the game progression is the worst mistake you can make in a game like this. Content runs out quick.
I like the part that you're comparing the Geo Archon statue to Zhongli 😆
I only suspected him of being the Archon when we first met him, his eyes gave it away to me
This stream is so engaging idk why. I started prayge-ing when he pulls, and clapped when Windwail Highland shows 100%. His joy and immersion in the game is so infectious

Even after a year I still find a stray chest in Liyue.
I remember exploring Liyue for 3 days until I finally made it to the harbor. It was such a relieving experience hearing the music change into a lively medley of sounds

Somone doing the game for the lore is so much entertaining to watch. Everyone, remember that this gameplay footage of Zhongli is pre-buff for his jade shield. Last I heard, the jade shield from a C6 Zhongli let's you literally face tank 90% of all attacks, and 96% of the people that have him pick him for the hardest content in the game, the Abyss.

It's so interesting watching how my desperate ass just passed a lot of things when I first played it
But MoB has yet to realize that, when you 100% an area, that means you found 75% of the chests.
Nooooo are you serious..... I just got 100% exploration in Mondstat using the treasure compass and I can't even begin to imagine where the other chests might be lol
@@isabellamartina1845 The compass only shows you chests that are present in the world. The ones you summon by completing puzzles on secrets are not shown by it.
(For example when you pull 4 carrots in a square etc)
@@Simmlex Ohhh right, I see! I think I completed most of the puzzles in Mondstat though, but I'm gonna head back to check if I didn't miss anything lol
@@isabellamartina1845 There are a bunch of secret ones. For example near andrius and cecilia garden there are 3 mine flowers that summon a whoppelflower which gives you a chest if you beat it.
Also on a ledge that looks at the first god statue there is a hidden campfire you have to light to get a chest etc.
I definitely was like how the fuck am I gonna explore all of Liyue 🤣 but I like your appreciation for the land and you did really well on the gliding challenges. I actually ended up really liking this challenge!

as you can see with my name, Im a huge fan of xianxia novels, so exploring Liyue is prob the closest I can get to the xianxia places I keep imagining... the sky high mountains, the ancient chinese structures, sword disciples, immortals, divine beasts, etc...

Katheryne is almost defenitely a robot. One of her idle voice clips is to say "error" out of nowhere, like a robot. That said, I choose to believe they are actually a bunch of sisters and just screwing with you, because that'd be funnier.

A new subscriber here and I can't help but laugh when Zhongli said "Osmanthus wine taste-" like I burst out laughing instantly. And I kinda couldn't get the fact that Zhongli's English VA is the same as Hawkmoth's from MLB.

Oof shame, you actually got half the experience of "first time seeing Liyue harbor". On my first playthrough I arrived at this place at night and I was blown away with how pretty it was.

liyue is a very overwhelming & exhausting region with couple of funny npcs. The womanizer sailor guy in the harbor, the pretentious astronomer guy stalking an astronomer lady. the kung fu master-student. no quests. just their conversations are funny. there are also sad side quests. like those father & sons misunderstanding. the childish fat guy - this one is really sad along with its background music.

Big same! Again, this experience was during the early state of the game where I was in Mondstadt for such a long time that I was yearning for something new. After being away from Mondstadt following Liyue's inclusion, and especially Inazuma, I agree that Mondstadt will always have that special place in my heart that no other region can compare to. It's where we all started, and it's what feels like home to many, myself included.
Friendly fire is in fact off, what damaging you is not your own attack but the elemental reaction of your attack + enemies/outside force (environmental dmg)

TBH, I expected Wanmin Restaurant to be like a grand place, big enough like Dawn Winery or something similar because of how Xiangling described the place. 😆

Based on how everyone was talking about Wanmin Resturant during Xiangling's story quest, I was expecting it to be something grandiose and spectacular, even better than the Liuli Pavilion or Xinyue Kiosk. So when I saw that it was a side street cooking room, hardly a RESTURANT as there were no tables or seats, I was a bit disappointed.
And yeah, that's great that we both had the same mindset about the whole thing, haha. I'm glad you've been enjoying the playthrough so far as well! :)
@@MurderofBirdsImpact actually Wanmin in Chinese means every people's restaurant, it's not an elegant or giant place for those rich people, it is a place to support delicious but cheap food for every people. So it becomes famous because everyone can afford it's foods and taste it. In comparison, there is another restaurant in Liyue you can find that it is more like the impression you thought for Wanmin haha.
