Connecting up wires on a bass guitar build is definitely my least favourite part of a custom build. Add in the LED lighting and I have a headache on my hands! Not to mention just trying to route the wiring past the stained glass windows!

Moments after this video was made, one of the 3 positions stopped working! Infuriating!
Great vid. When I progress to making a guitar from scratch (kits so far for this guy), I think I would do all the drilling before ANY other work that could conceivably happen after, i.e. gluing a neck, fine shaping and sanding, finishing, etc., if only out of pure fear!!
I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this build!!
@@frejeri very glad to hear it! 🙌
I love the wiring, it makes no sense to me at all but it feels so good when it works :) I've yet to use the Nitorlack sheilding paint but all the other stuff they sent is first rate. Very happy with it.
@@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams can’t wait to try it all 👍
Mate youve got to get yourself some super long drill bits! helps so much more with lining things up!
@@BBGuitars Why, thank you for noticing!
Looks amazing!!

Superb as ever Chris. The bass looks ace and what a hoot with the stained glass. It really works though. Ta for the tinned wire caddy thing, I shall jump on that. What's the shielding paint like? I'm trying to find one that doesn't get graphite all over your fingers, wires, pickups for months after it's dry. Oh, I got myself a stepped bit set for something like 8p and a drawing of a hen off Temu or Ali or somewhere. Drilled my output jack hole with it yesterday - oh my golly, what a revelation!
@@fatpotanga gotta love a step bit!
