i love how lorenzo's taking care of caito even if he clearly knows that they can only be frnds and he can never be with caito forever, it's great that these type of stories tells us that "not every guy we are frnds with are gay and we shouldn't try to change them or leave them just becuz they are not our type"
lorenzo is a boy of what, 15yrs? probably the first time he has those feelings. why already thinking further than 'just friends'? making friends is more important than getting laid anyway

I’ve seen this movie. It’s a great movie ‘cause one of the kids is NOT gay and knows the other one is attracted to him. Yet, they develop a great friendship! I think we need more stories that normalize that gays and str8s can be very close friends. I am gay and all my male friends are straight, and we’ve been friends for 20+ years
I watched this entire movie and it's an example of what gay people go through to come to terms with the reality of being gay. The young man in this story is tormented by his gay feelings, even though his mother tells she loves him for who he is. I remember the suffering I went through trying to understand what to do about the sexual attractions i was having as a gay teenager. It was extremely painfuli and took me many years to resolve.

This was such a beautiful movie. The scene where Lorenzo’s mother softly confronts him about things, and they hug…ugh, I cried like a baby.

What is the most beautiful in this movie is how Lorenzo take care of Caito so genuinely and despite the passion he feels for him, his priority is Caito's welfare.
Such a beautiful movie. My relationship with a straight friend was very similar to this, so this story hits home.

So many times, movies which explore this theme end up effusively sentimental or center on such abject cruelty that it’s painful to watch. There’s something different about this one. I’ve only seen this clip, but it portends a film that exercises restraint and works carefully to give the story a sense of existing in the real world. As well, the characters seem like real people with whom we can relate and feel comfortable. I look forward to watching this film.
The end of this film is heart-shredding. Though it's just a teenage heartache, I related to Lorenzo too much.
P R little B - I was hoping that the story would veer toward a lighter conclusion. I’m sorta reluctant to accept that being wounded is a necessary step on the path to emotional maturity, but maybe it is. I’ll watch it when I’m in the right frame of mind.

Still a LONG way to go for equal rights and for bigoted hateful religious, political and social views to improve before acceptance and bigotry is frowned upon by the many rather then the raising in numbers but well shy of the many worldwide.

I wouldn't say that being Gay, Bi or Trans it a Problem for whole Religion. I met many Religious Buddhists and Religious Hinduists, and none of them said anything bad to me. The Problem is in the First Place in Christianity and Islam, and in Second Place in Judaism; even trough Israel is in many Places very Accepting! Tel Aviv is such a Great City for Gay Men! I love it there! And the Jewish Israeli gay Men are so HOT! Have you ever heard for Eliad Cohen? He is really Famous, has a HUGE Following Online and makes Gay Parties for a Living! He is so HOT! Also, Israel has a lot of Openly Gay Celebrities for such a Small Country: Harel Skaat is a Famous Singer, and his Husband Idan Roll is a Model with a Law Degree that was in Knesset, and now is Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs! But there are many more!

Such a drama. There are no sex scenes involved, no playing under the shelf, no intense kissing. It shows the friendship between an obviously gay guy (nerd) and a straight one(dude). The dude left a secret to the nerd which kept them more together with deeper friendship. Really good movie but the end in coming of gay movies are always tragedy. I was crying the last few minutes. Looks like “Call me by your name” is knocking on your door 😢

I am agree, it's like they only make a gay movie only in the drama version. Like if they told us: ok, you are gay, but you will be sad because your boyfriend will die, disapears, leave with a GURL ... and you never see him again !! So, if the review of a gay movie says "drama" in the genre, avoid it!

Lovely film but, at least the version I saw on RUclips, only had about 25% of the subtitle. I speak Spanish, so not a total dealbreaker for me, but if you’re going to have them, they need to work all the time.
