I had similar confession to a boy in college when we were both 18. I confessed I really liked him and he was my best friend and he confessed the same. We became even better boyfriends and in 2002 we got married the first time in front of our families and then in 2008 we became married legally in California. Still happily together after 35 years❣
My first man crush was when I was just 13, and have known since then I was gay, but lived in a small town in Ohio that ridiculed anyone they even thought might be gay, I went on and got married at 22 had children and finally started living my tru self at 56, and truly believe love is love and no matter what age you should be true to yourself and live your life from the heart ♥️
Flashback to Junior High 1975/76 when me and my soul mate went through this. I was scared shitless. He didn't know how to take it; but he didn't shove me. Today, we are 61 and still together, madly, deeply, passionately in love with each other.
Hey everyone just saying, my name is marko mani, I played the kid who rejected the other one. It was a very tough role and I’m glad most of you enjoyed it. 🎉
When do you think part 2 is coming because it summer in perth wa and we're do you do the filming just to country Or sate or town I like I live in perth Western Australia wa
My best friend - who was not gay -- and stayed my best friend -- told ME he thought I was gay. He was correct. He then supported me as I adjusted to my new life. He and his wife are wonderful friends of mine.
I had a huge crush on a guy I went to school with here in Norway back in my early 20's but then he got a girlfriend and one time when we all went to the UK and went to this nightclub one night, I saw them kiss and my heart got shattered in thousand pieces. I went to the bathroom and cried and soon that night, he came up to me and I confessed my feelings for him. I was afraid of how he was gonna react but he gave me a hug and told me that he was totally cool with it and he applauded me for being so brave. We still kept our friendship after having returned to Norway but now we live in completely different parts of the country and he's married to a woman now but I do hope he is happy and doing well. This video takes me right back to that one night opening up to him. These young actors are brilliant! :)
Nooooo I nooooooo❤❤❤❤ Omgsh Please please I am not one for drama seriously I'm not it's got to be certain things. But like you know what? Obviously the friend who at least to me? Funny I get to comment on something I never got to which is on another platform that I don't even know if I can mention here because it's one of those pornographic play today's a gay boys tube❤com type of thing and you know what everything is not GOOD The appearance straight front here? Well that figures he's got that HUD shape you know kind of like call the Pod house shape is it reminds me of like when I was in the shower and Vicky came over and he was blow drying my hair with little blow dryer and you know I was brushing it back it looked really good and you know I'm about 135 5:10 9 ton and he's short or he's like you know only about 4 ft 5 and he's got some brown hair and then he wanted to borrow my blow dryer and his girlfriend. I mean there was nobody there it's the swim part of the building and and you have to dry your hair or else you'll freeze outside when you go back to the other part of the school so you know a lot of stuff happened that night that I'm not going to allude to here but you can use your imagination. And here's the thing he's straight he's married and I guess I would be considered straight Governor lake, never dated a guy the way you would say dating a woman whatever but I've been out with friends that were my date that night and nobody asked a question. Sometimes it could like they look like it's my little brother but really it's just somebody a couple years younger than me that useful look? And sometimes and somebody that's like 40 years older than me. I'm not a c e r e a l as in counter I'm just trying to say that anyways the guy who is his straight roommate is pretty hot and so basically if they're really good friends the friendship will survive and if not the memory of it will end the lesson is learned I got it? Hard to tell without sitting down with these two actors myself and knowing they're in their true feelings and who the hell ever really shows that right? I'm not saying anything bad about the movie I'm just saying about ourselves right? Who the fuck ever really really ready to be vulnerable on your between say 21 and I'm going to shoot up to 30 because I don't feel like going back into that 2 times my like you know I'm not just saying for now? You know what I'd say I'd be like if I like your taint in your ribs maybe even your r i z z! - get down here right now with the jizz
Closest Street boyfriend is really hot it has to work out on the next episode where they become you know you don't have to. They could even have a circle thing or or an encounter. I bet he probably even probably wants to do you know what I mean everybody wants experimental stuff doesn't want to stick their finger in the electric socket or whatever you call it over there in the UK with your sticky wickets or what happened to the check Hunter or was he and Czechoslovakia weight and what about man's best I'm talking about man's butts I'm talking about OMG goddamn roommate is really hot he is my little pod person I will turn him upside down and what the other lead actor here is saying is true he is being honest with him and the other guy just can't like face that they probably been naked with each other OMG and the guy might have thought of him that way like Jesus that we don't ever look at people and we could be like can't you just say like oh well if you're a guy and say oh well? You just like say oh well that guy over there is very attractive I like his hairstyle like Brad Pitt when he was in that movie the one I saw the other day it's a long time ago called it's not the it's not the one where a river runs through it but it could be around the same time it's the one that they have any Hopkins Anthony Hopkins and they there's like a bear if you didn't see another my name was Brad Pitt's he was like a really really fine OMG I'm wet and I'm like you know 🙇♂️💭 I'm not Agatha Christie's Agatha Christie's play finding hero on the telly? Detective Hercule Poirot
The friend’s reaction is emotionally intense and honest… And it seems that he is angry. But the thing I find most interesting is how differently viewers interpret the friend’s reaction. Several viewers seem to anticipate only two possible outcomes to this story. I can envision several more… Yes, he could be angry because he has negative ideas/opinions about gay men. However, anger could also be an expression of confusion, angst, and frustration. Perhaps the friend has been struggling with uncertainties about his own sexual identity. Or maybe he just feels overwhelmed by this revelation and doesn’t know how to handle the situation. The friend might also be upset that his best friend has been keeping such a big secret (and “best friends” are supposed to trust each other more).

These types of films I usually skip because I find them boring...but not this one. I't actually made me think back to when I was that age remembering how rough it really was for someone in that situation. I think you nailed it because that kind of hurt is real. People sometimes can be (to put it nicely) non compationate, quite hurtfull and sometimes violent, especially when someone this close to them tells them they're gay. The production, the actors, and the script was excellent,... but I sincerely hope that part two doesn't end up with the young guy hurting himself over this,... even though that would be a reality.
This is very sad and, unfortunately, true to life. I think that if they were 10 years older his best friend would accept him and remain his friend, even though he didn't reciprocate the romantic feelings. Maybe even help him find a boyfriend.
I'm actually crying over this right now. All I have to say is good job to those two actors. I just started filming for the first movie I'm gonna be in. I've done ~30 theater productions over the last 9 years, and acting for film is much different. This plotline hits home for me, and I admire the actors in this a great deal. Congratulations!
My version of this scene was that he was offended: "why didn't you tell me?" As if I didn't trust him. No it was not that. I was just so scared of losing him as my best friend, ever. I'd never had a 'bestie' before and I really did not want to jeopardize that. He was very precious to me. I don't know what became of him. But he has a special place in my heart.
In my experience, telling a close friend that you have feelings for him usually doesn’t end well, especially if he is straight. I’ve confessed my feelings to a friend. In his mind, that’s all we were….friends. In time we drifted apart. I thought I was in love with him. I cried over him. Looking back I’m not sure what those feelings were.
The feelings were your teenage puberty triggered hormones going crazy and lust. Straight men, Gay Men, Women all experience what they think is love but it's basically Lust. Hmm yum, I gotta have that!! Absolutely nothing wrong with that! but it happens to all of us, especially when we are young and confused... and horny!! How about being gay, but you didn't come out, then later finding out that a crush you had on someone, that you kept secret, they were gay but you never got to experience it, because you never came out. Which would be worse? Honesty is always the best answer, even though sometimes it does not seem that way at first. Food for thought for you.
@@barronfilms96 This world is fake, daily deceiving, it is not worthy to go and gain it. wiser it is to seek CHRIST (BIBLE STUDY FOR ALL , a playlist of mine)and get saved.
I felt so badly for him because I know what it feels like to be rejected, especially by someone considered a best friend. Hopefully, his friend will think about it and reunite with him. Yes, I know they're actors, but this sort of thing happens in real life. It did with me years ago and it still hurts.
Wow, this is the first video I've watched by this channel, and honestly I'm actually stunned by what you people have been able to pull off: the acting, scripts, editing; literally everything. As an aspiring film maker who loves stories that have an emotional journey, and is also queer, I found this phenomenal. I am really looking forward to part 2, please keep up the great work:)
I had a similar situation when I was 14... But we found back together after like a year and I still love him ❤ this year without him was clearly the worst time of my life (Ill be 17 this month)
Stories like this one are painful but so underrepresented in media. Same-sex communities have been consistently painted as emotionless flings by entertainment industries to the point LGBTQIA+ circles are looked down upon by their heterosexual counterparts. It's nice to see the often harsh reality gay people face in looking for a partner or even telling their friends how they feel via storytelling through film. Many gay people, including me, went through exactly what the boy communicating his feelings felt. And, as this film portrays, not all of those confessions go as planned. As someone who loves analyzing these things, I want to point out the rejecter's facial expression after he pushed his friend. That wasn't a look of sheer disdain, that was a look of hurt and confusion. Part 2 will tell us more, but I feel like his reaction was borne more out of agitation caused by an influx of overwhelming emotions than rejection. In other words, I think he reacted the way he did because hearing that his friend had feelings for him surfaced emotions he wasn't ready to deal with. I see a happy ending coming. This was a heartwrenching film, yet it leaves a lot up for interpretation in its current state. You've managed to speak to my inner teen in a way I've been trying to but have failed thus far. I can't wait for part two.
Very well said! Thanks for sharing that! Very astute of you! We shall all see how the final conclusion in Part 2 will play out. ♥️🎬 Before part 2 tho, there will be a few uploads of another separate story next month, then part 2 will be arriving.
@@barronfilms96 I don't normally follow indie filmmakers, but you guys seem like a respectable and forward-thinking group of people. Definitely looking forward to your new content.
Wow! I was not expecting that. This is breathtakingly real and simply brilliant. I sense so many emotions in him. Relief and regret perhaps the strongest. I applaud his courage. Let's not be too judgmental of his friend - yet. If I had been able to have seen something like this when I was growing up, you have no idea what.............
The flashbacks to my coming out are so strong right now O.O Incredible acting from that boy, wow. Hopefully, in another few generations, people won't have the other boy's reaction, I know my best friend did...
@@andresvargasch.8771 No, our friendship ended shortly afterwards. He was a very religious individual, and said that because of that, we couldn't spend time together outside of school like we always had. I didn't want a part-time friend, so I told him it was over between us. I miss him constantly, and I hope that he was able to see his way out of the cult his religion really was. But if I had to make the same decision again today, I would in a heartbeat. No one is going to tell me who I can or can't be, or that who I am is wrong or offensive. If you're in a similar situation, I wish you the same courage I had in that moment to be true to yourself. This quote really helped me at the time, and even now: "Be who you are, and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter, don't mind." Best wishes. 🏳️🌈
@robertlembo Sad, things did not work out. I bet he missed you as well, but yes religion blinds people. I like to hear other people's stories. I hope you now have new friends that accept you and do not even see your sexuality as something different. 🙌🏽😊
This hit close to home - I had a similar experience 4 years ago in high school to my friend. He told me that he didn’t believe I was gay - this short film was well done. I can't wait for part 2❤
In this day and age, it shouldn’t be a big deal for anyone to come out as gay to their friends and families. Being gay as pretty widely accepted, especially among young people. But I realise it is still difficult in some communities and in some places. Very well presented video, a simple story told with compassion.
I remember the first time I told my friend Robert I liked him in that way he just looked at me for what seamed like forever then he sad iv been waiting for you to tell me that it's abought time then he kissed me and we made. Love I still can't believe he felt the same way ❤🌈🤠
@@asiimwemuwanguzi1719 it was a long time ago now, but he told me he "wasn't like that", but we could still be friends. He drove me home afterwards (we met at a coffee shop). Our friendship/whatever it was sort of fizzled out after that. Felt good to tell him though
Well we may never get there. It’s not right to act out and push your friend but you also have no idea what the other kid is going through in that moment. For some people being told a person of the same sex love you is strange. It’s unnatural to them and scares them and so they may act out. It’s really hard, for both sides I think. I hope one day we’ll get to a world where it’s not such a big deal, but who knows
Well done. Can't wait to see how it plays out. Even though coming out is easier today than it was in decades past, it's different when you're coming out to your crush and confessing your feelings at the same time. I'm not sure that will ever be easier, in general. Both actors did a great job with portraying the conflict within, and with the confession itself. I do like that the reaction wasn't specific enough to tell us what the friend is thinking. There's lots of ways this could play out.
This is what can occur once a young person has entered puberty and testosterone is raging throughout the body. There are manifold thoughts and emotions that are difficult for youths to comprehend and, sadly, the reaction of the boy's friend is one major reason why so many--of ALL genders remain secretive and "in the closet."
@@barronfilms96 Thank you, and this video should be used in sex education classes for young people to show the issues they might face when confronting sexual attraction. Congratulations on a sensitive topic very professionally handled.
The kids a punk( the one that left the room). It's not a matter of the punk kid finding out about his friend. It's a matter of his friend finding out about him. That he's a punk. How can you be friends for so long, and not be able to accept your friend, whatever he is, or has done? Teenagers, in general, are very open minded, and able to accept ANY difference from the norm in their friends. UNLESS, they have been raised in a highly propagandized environment, such as, for example, a christian household. But the revealing young man should not let it get him down. There's lots of fish in the sea. He just needs to look for a better quality friend.
Very insightful! It’s a good thing the actors are great friends in real life. The “punk kid” actor had a hard time playing a “punk kid”. Lol. Because he’s not homophobic and is very friendly and compassionate. So this was a great acting challenge for him in this role. :)
@@barronfilms96 Wow, that's interesting information. Having known many teenagers in my life, both homophobic and not, I would say then that he's an excellent actor. Because his actions after being told are amazingly similar to non-accepting teenagers I have known. Also, I was certainly only calling his caracter a punk, and not him personally.
Not sure why this short showed up in my suggestions. Kinda glad it did though. Good work. Reminded me of my high school best friend. I was on the receiving end of the little conversation. My best friend didn't want to ruin our friendship, so it was difficult for him to tell me of his true feelings. I assured him he could talk to me about anything. Just like the kid in this short, it was hard at first for him to find the words. In the end I told him that although I didn't have those same feelings towards him, I was happy that he talked to me and that it in no way threatened our friendship. He simply asked if he could have a hug, so I said I could do that. We remained best friends throughout the years until he moved to the US (from Canada). Even found himself a partner, to which I told him I was so happy for him.
That is amazing! Thank you for sharing that empowering and inspirational story! You’re a great role model for how someone on the receiving end should handle things like this. :)
The hardest thing in the world is being vulnerable in front of someone. It may not give you what you want but it’s better than keeping it inside. It’s how you develop a thicker skin.
A truly wonderful short on the emotional trials and tribations of coming out. Like so many commentors I too was in the confessor situation....my year nine bestie was also my first intense crush. Eric was Blond haired, blue eyed and from New York and there was no helping the infatuation, but even at 14 it was more about just wanting to be with him all the time...i had no intimate thoughts about him...just how sweet his personality was......innocence at its best really. When I told him how I felt after school one day at the beach, I felt truly lucky when he told me hed already guessed and that he was ok with it...even thought he didnt feel the same way...if anything it strengthened our friendship and we spent the year 9 and 10 school holidays both together and with other friends. At the end of yr 10 he moved backed to NY with his family...naturally I was gutted at the loss...but that life at that age sometimes. Thats why I love this short film, it touches on vulnerability, innocence, uncertainty and loss...and bravery......perfectly done! Id actaully like to see part 2 as well. Bravo😊
Thanks so much for sharing that amazing beautiful powerful story! Part 2 coming soon! 🎬 (Interesting twist: the guy never said he was gay….just that he really liked his friend)
My friend said this to me once, and I was very supportive of him and cared for him, but then it turned out it was a joke, and ive been trying to get him back ever since.
Such GREAT acting! He risked reaching for the prize which was the freedom to be himself. Many toil their entire lives to keep themselves hidden. They tolerate year after year of private misery that slowly crushes them because they're too afraid to dethrone fear. Not this kid. He didn't bow to fear and stood up, instead. Looks like his friend is now being challenged by fear, too. Hopefully he'll eventually choose to be as brave.
If he's really your friend, he'll come around. If not then he didn't love you like a friend should in the first place, and better to find out sooner than later. Probably not what you want to read, but it's for the better.
i really loved the way you have done this. it's really so emotional for both people. time will tell how each handles it. life is not quick and easy. both parties need time to think and adjust to how to handle their true feelings. thank you.
They did a really good job with a sensitive topic. Looking forward to the continuation of the story. Throughout my life, I've been on both sides of the coin. The most difficult one was when my best friend, who I live with at the time, Confessed to me. He wanted to go on a date. I did not want to jeopardize our many years of friendship. I made the decision to delicately talk to him, I'm convinced him it was a bad idea. Also, I didn't have the same feelings. I loved him like a brother. Luckily, it turned out for the best and everything worked out great. The end of the story is... I fixed him up, and he's still with Jason 9 years later. 😁
Of all the coming of age gay short films this one really touched me. I could feel the raw emotion. I did the same thing at age 14, I was rejected thus our friendship was never the same, though he did not out me or hurt me in any other way.
Enjoyed this video, looking forward to Part 2! Will be a bit of refreshment to help get through the hot Texas summer! And since we're theorizing, maybe the kid who left the room was actually the gay one in the first place, had already shared his feelings for his friend prior, and this short piece of video is actually showing the other friend as not really trying to come out to him as most assume, but rather agonizing over having to tell him that "I really like you a lot", but I'm not gay, or I'm confused and not sure, and I don't want to lose you over this... We all know movies have unforeseen twists and turns, and without knowing what's gone on before between them and the "To Be Continued..." cliffhanger, maybe the roles are actually reversed, but we just haven't found out yet! Just fun to speculate on other possibilities at this point. Keep up the good work! 😊
Dakota, never forget. I flew half way across the globe to tell him how much I loved him. I stumbled word pieces, he kinda completed my phrases. We are still friends that's the good thing. It still took more than two years to get over it. And not a single day goes by without thinking of him 💙.
I've been faced with this same conversation twice and have lost the two friends I loved both times. First in high school 7 years ago and again last year. Neither took my confession of love well, fearing how it may make them look by association. I wanted to also believe that things could stay the same, but my confession ruined those two friendships. I still love both of these former friends and see the same reaction they had in the boy that walked out the room. I also see the same reaction in the boy who confessed his feelings in relation to me. The pain and regretting coming out with this confession. Great short film and I hope they can have a happy ending.
Thank you so much for sharing! Sorry you’ve gone through that. Part 2 of this film will come this summer! The ending will be unexpected but a good one! :)
@nickmalin3601, just remember that you have more friends than one might think. Just because the two don't accept you for you, well maybe that's not a friend bro... A true friend will be there for you no matter what. I have lived life the same way. And have great friends.. and yes I've lost some of them also.. but never give up on yourself. And always remember that like in this short film here, I'm praying that this kid doesn't do something??? To crazy... I will put it like that. Because I have had two very good friends go the wrong way.. I found one of them hanging from a tree myself. That hurts more than just someone saying that the friendship is over. And to this day I still cry. And no it wasn't me that said the F/Ship was over... It was his own family. (Mom) to tell the truth. Remember Love is unconditional.
@@PeterBirett yes sir,, other than my mother ( before she passed away in 1992 ) not very many folks except the gay ways. There were way too many haters. Of course that was the 70s and 80s.. and my father was a Southern Baptist preacher. So I had no one other than mom.. you got to think of yourself,,, she asked me if I was gay... Well that just put me in shock of course. With not knowing what to say.. I said, would it change things (if I was?) She said no because love is unconditional. From there I stood up for myself more.. taught myself to be more understanding about it. And from there I started helping others with opening up. There are way too many folks who hate, but what they have forgotten, that same person they're hating on could be their best friend.
I went through this with a friend years ago. I stayed quiet and suffered. I have moved past it and think in the long run it saved fucking up a good friendship.
What can you say.... It's an awesome film, this has happened so many times when a teen boy comes out to a best friend to deepen their hearts in friendship and the other boy is not capable of acceptance. So many times this has led to gay teens commiting suicide. It's a tremendous step, journey for anyone to undertake let's all be a little more compassionate, understanding... Had you rather live with a son, friend that's gay or burry him because YOU couldn't accept him the way he is... Gay 🏳️🌈 ❤️ 😎
The way this is done makes the confessor look rather vulnerable which he was. I was that age with feelings like that for other guys and this was in the mid 70s to late 70s. In those days you didnt just come out and do that unless you had a pretty good feeling on how the other guy felt about same sex issues and sex, etc. This guy should have had some idea how he would react and if he even had any non judgemental feelings. So, he pretty much set himself up for the reaction he got.
I came out as gay to my friends. I lost nobody. They supported me, some said they knew. I learned then that REAL friends will stand by you because gay, bi or straight, ur still the same person they have always known.
Every gay guy can relate to this. I had a crush on a boy when I was in my early teens and never had the nerve to tell him how I felt. On top of that, he had a girlfriend and often times I could only hang out with him when he was with her. What a horrible way to go through puberty. At least when your straight, a girl may reject you and that would hurt, but to be in love with another boy was taboo. The young man here did the right thing and came to terms with himself at the ultimate cost.
Very well done and great acting. It is never easy to say difficult things to your loved ones. Too bad his friend did not understand his feelings and being honest about it.
Wow, thnx 4 the reminder of what a gay life is like. Yep, never goes how u hoped, but oddly enough, we shine. Wish more would watch this with open eyes, hearts& minds...not the closed ones they have currently.🥂
Hard to say what you should do... I only know I failed in everything lol But it was in quite different times. I am now 70 and was never happy. Hope you will find your way and be happier that I was.
How you handle these kinds of situations can have a great impact on your life and the life of others. I also had a similar situation happen to me when a friend came out to me and told me he liked me and wanted to have sex with me. I rebuffed him and told him he should be careful who he tells that to. We never spoke again. Ironically, I was gay but got married several years later to a girl I met who was and still is the greatest love of my life. I came out to her and we got divorced after being together 25 years and raising three sons. It's not easy to meet someone you really click with, especially as you get older. In retrospect, I wish I had been more accepting of my physical desires but it doesn't help to live in the past and have regrets. It's no good to tear yourself up for something that can't be changed.
This was really good and emotional. I really related to it, as I discovered I was gay around their age too. It was really difficult, especially as I was already getting bullied at school. I never had the courage to come out, back then, but a lot of boys thought I was gay anyway and started throwing homophobia around too. I really hope you do a follow up.😢👏 🏳️🌈
I had a Deadly Boy Crush on my best friend when we were 15yo....Fortunately, he was accepting of my intense feelings toward him. He showe'd me he cared by sleeping with me 'n going all the way....That was the start of an intimate relationship all through HS. I'm 46 now, 'n have a beautiful husband, but I'll never forget my first love....We're still good friends today 'n he even had sex with me 'n Cody. We 3 enjoyed each other 'n the weekend he visited over the holidays. Friend Reinforcement "Always Keep Yer Friends Close"
This surpassed expectations. The stammering, reluctant way he came out was realistic, as was the reality of the intertwined issues of coming out and his romantic feelings. My only criticism is that, for an 8-minute film, it wasted precious time on goofing around in the pool, walking to the room, etc.
Many times I have advised boys who are having homosexual feelings towards one of their best friends, NEVER ever say a word to him about it, unless you know with 100% certainty that he also has similar feelings towards you. One of the fastest ways to kill a friendship is for one of them to admit they are attracted to the other.
AWESOME! Just Honest with no Sugar Coating Well Done!!! I was also sitting on the bed, with someone, having to ask a question to witch I really didn't want to know the answer to. Though you know exactly what it is you need to say, you suddenly forget how to speak.....
His friend was angry because he knew everything would change. The two value each others friendship; a friendship that up until this moment was simple, equal and perfect. That shove signifies his frustration over the fact that this perfect friendship is now imperfect. The burden now lies with the friend. It is up to him whether or not he wants the friendship to continue and if it were to continue how do they navigate it with these new feelings? I like that he didn’t freak out or even say anything. His actions actually show that he also cares for his friend which is why he’s so upset and abruptly leaves the room. I would love a conclusion to this story.
Great movie. Certainly great choice of actors. They did very well. Will certainly be glad for part 2. Since there are 3-4 typical reactions to this situation, perhaps you should do all 3-4 endings and let the audience pick their favorite. I know I’d prefer to see them have nothing change and be the best of friends, perhaps even a bit more. Others might prefer the typical we are done ending never talk to me again. Others the I can accept that just keep your distance. There were books that allowed the reader to choose the ending, why not this video? Great job guys! Looking forward to your next video!
Glad you enjoyed it! I am not a fan of the “choose your own ending / choose your own adventure” style of storytelling. I believe a great stories must have a definitive beginning, middle, and end. Doesn’t mean everyone will agree or like it, but I have great respect for stories that are definitive and don’t cheap out by trying to create multiple versions to please everyone.
@@barronfilms96 thanks for the reply. I presume then you have the ending scripted? I will be anxious to see it. Just curious as to how long the wait will be. It was a good place for the commercial break. I still have my hopes for a happy ending! I’m a happy endings fan! Probably old school type of guy. Good guys should always win! 😉
@@adamdaniels2384 I'm on the same wave, hoping it shows nowadays boys, that such a confession to a good bro will keep him as a buddy. If the story goes this direction I'm keen to see a well established ally-relationship.
@@PeterBirettnice comment. I’m a fan of happy endings. The boy’s relationship seems good and real. I’d love to see it get strengthened by the honesty. Gay or not male relationships are valuable to all males. The ability to be real requires closeness of friends or family. There are both wonderful and tragic tales to provide the ending of this story. I’m hoping for wonderful 😉
This reminds me of when i confessed to my best friend in high school. It's kinda cool seeing so many experiences in the comments. I told our friend the day we had a band concert and she was insistent that we tell her, so the next day we did. It was at the end of the school day. We had free time in band because of the concert and i ran home after. We were still best friends, but sometimes i wonder if that was for the best. But i didn't have much choice since i was the section leader of our section i guess. Anyway, now she's married and we don't talk nearly as much as we used to. She was really the first and only person I've ever truly loved. Too bad it didn't have a happy ending. I should have distanced myself instead of keeping hope so they can get crushed over and over.
Just a word of advice from an old man with a lot of experience in life. If you have something to say, say it. Don't beat around the bush delaying saying what you have to say. It causes anxiety and confusion to the person you want to talk to. In this film,. Guy has told Buddy he wants to talk to him later. This leaves Buddy wondering what he wants to talk about, so he goes with Guy to his room. They sit down together and Guy starts talking about their friendship and whatnot but never gets to the point he wants to make. Through all this, all kinds of things are going through Buddy's mind. What is he trying to say? Is he breaking up with me? Does he not like me anymore? Has he found somebody else? That why it is best to say what you have to say. Say it outright and immediately and get it over with.
Adorable and sweet boys. Hard to confess feelings with someone you like . I know how he felt. I was the same way when I was younger but was afraid to say or do anything about it 😢
'From back in the '60s, crushes on 3 friends at different times. That was a very tough time for anyone to discuss it. I never told these 3 guys. The guys were straight. I never crushed on a gay. At the same time, I had a social GF who was absolutely crazy about me, and I could only be somewhat cold to her. Well, 60 years later, I'm friends with the guys. I have no romantic feelings for them. I value their friendship. I have been happily married to a gal for 40 years. We have a good marriage. My high school GF married well and has a good life. I did what was available to me for that time. My life is good. Thanks for reading.
Ok I need a continuation to this please. I need to see how this ends lol. I had kind of the same experience except my friend was totally ok with it. I mean I stumbled over my words. I was shaking really bad. After I said it I almost had a panic attack. I was walking around the room crying. She finally calmed me down and got me to sit down and she said everything was ok. This happened a few months ago and we are still very good friends
Very well done! Good acting. I had that experience, but I never even got the chance to say it. I basically said it with my actions. It scared him off just the same. Never to speak again.
Same I have feelings for my best friend but I don't know how to tell him I feel like he's gonna hate me I can't loose him because he has been my friend for years and I secretly love him so much
I was raised -- what I now call, "Christian-Taliban". The 2nd youngest of 5 boys and 1 girl, I was the most religious. The entire family thought that I would become a priest --- so did I. BUT -- I KNEW I was homosexual. Even though my brothers dated the hottest girls in school, and girls from a large and popular family of girls wanted to date me --- I had NO interest. Even after 8 years in the Navy, I remained virgin --- WAITING for GOD to BRING me the "right" woman. That "woman" never came. Why? Because GOD knew HE did not create me to be heterosexual. Long story short.... my gay marriage has lasted longer than ALL the hetero-evangelical marriages of my brothers. The moral of the story: Be TRUE to yourself. Let the hypocrites sort out the details of their own hypocrisy.
@@time4clocks You don't mention how old you are, but perhaps my uncle can be an inspiration --- He came out to me at 70 years of age after numerous marriages and children. He's never been happier

Teen years can be so painful 'n uncertain....I can see where individuals who might not be mentally prepared for rejection do stupid things up to 'n including suicide.....Teen sex 'n sexuality is deep dangerous water....Fortunately 'fer me, I was able 'ta navigate through it, but not without tears 'n a broken heart a couple times. It's a hurt unlike anything you've ever felt.....
That's probably just on the surface. IRL these days his reaction would hint he probably reciprocates the feelings but wasn't anywhere near ready to confront it all. Besides feelings rarely grow in a vacuum and there's usually some degree of reciprocity going on. . If they don't feel the same way most guys would try to hard to act like everything was fine and then just not speak any more. Even if they were some religious zealot type they would spit the conversion dogma before quickly exiting. . Alas we have no way of knowing what the author intended...or perhaps this conversation where we both came to different conclusions was the intent.
I hope in part 2 the younger one will accept him just as who he is and maybe fall in love idk because in this age no one can tell what's going on in their minds,I am really waiting for a happy ending
I had similar confession to a boy in college when we were both 18. I confessed I really liked him and he was my best friend and he confessed the same. We became even better boyfriends and in 2002 we got married the first time in front of our families and then in 2008 we became married legally in California. Still happily together after 35 years❣

Hi there @@barronfilms96, can you please tell me where I can find part two of this short film or where the rest of it is?

Please please I am not one for drama seriously I'm not it's got to be certain things. But like you know what? Obviously the friend who at least to me? Funny I get to comment on something I never got to which is on another platform that I don't even know if I can mention here because it's one of those pornographic play today's a gay boys tube❤com type of thing and you know what everything is not GOOD
The appearance straight front here?
You just like say oh well that guy over there is very attractive I like his hairstyle like Brad Pitt when he was in that movie the one I saw the other day it's a long time ago called it's not the it's not the one where a river runs through it but it could be around the same time it's the one that they have any Hopkins Anthony Hopkins and they there's like a bear if you didn't see another my name was Brad Pitt's he was like a really really fine OMG I'm wet and I'm like you know

The friend’s reaction is emotionally intense and honest… And it seems that he is angry. But the thing I find most interesting is how differently viewers interpret the friend’s reaction. Several viewers seem to anticipate only two possible outcomes to this story. I can envision several more…
Yes, he could be angry because he has negative ideas/opinions about gay men.

I’m sorry to hear that you haven’t been in contact. Have you tried looking on social media?
Same situation. It's really quite a shame because he was everything to me.
@@Daniel-jv1kunearly broke me when I went through that.
Wow. Interesting story. Thanks for sharing! Glad that you could relate to the film! Thanks for watching! :)

I had a similar situation when I was 14... But we found back together after like a year and I still love him ❤ this year without him was clearly the worst time of my life (Ill be 17 this month)
Wow! Amazing! ♥️

He is no longer your friend?

In this day and age, it shouldn’t be a big deal for anyone to come out as gay to their friends and families. Being gay as pretty widely accepted, especially among young people. But I realise it is still difficult in some communities and in some places. Very well presented video, a simple story told with compassion.
Thanks for watching! And agreed. :)
The challenge here was that he not only come out to his friend, he came out to his friend about his friend. Tough
People are not to crazy about people being gay around where I live.
In some places and communities, you absolutely can't come out as gay. And who knows what future will be like !
Coming out isn't the same as telling your 15 year old straight friend you have feelings for him.

When we become a world where this is not such a big deal I will be happy.

Insightful
Maybe he felt he was being taken advantage of or used.
@@jayusa879 That's a good point. You never know what he was feeling.

@@barronfilms96 your welcome, and yes, he came out without actually saying it which was well scripted in itself.
I look forward to part 2.

My friend said this to me once, and I was very supportive of him and cared for him, but then it turned out it was a joke, and ive been trying to get him back ever since.
Maybe he was serious but since u didn't like him back he said it was a joke not to ruin the friend ship
@@HorrorFanatic4EVER37 no you dumbwit I was supportive, it was a joke and he has a girlfriend.
@@HorrorFanatic4EVER37 um look bro, it was a joke, he even has a girlfriend, and I was sportive of him anyway.
Well said! We shall see in Part 2 coming soon! ♥️🎬
I barely remember being that age. Back in the 80s that would have been a no go conversation most of the time. Acting was great with both kids
Glad you enjoyed the acting! And yes, different time back then indeed. Thanks for watching!

@@barronfilms96 nice
I did when I was 14 but we are friends again and I (16) still love him ❤
And how did it go?
@@andresvargasch.8771 in my case we're close friends 😁
If he's really your friend, he'll come around. If not then he didn't love you like a friend should in the first place, and better to find out sooner than later. Probably not what you want to read, but it's for the better.
i really loved the way you have done this. it's really so emotional for both people. time will tell how each handles it. life is not quick and easy. both parties need time to think and adjust to how to handle their true feelings. thank you.
Thanks for watching! :) Well said and very insightful!
They did a really good job with a sensitive topic.
Looking forward to the continuation of the story. Throughout my life, I've been on both sides of the coin. The most difficult one was when my best friend, who I live with at the time,
Confessed to me.
Thanks for sharing your story! ♥️
@@barronfilms96can't wait to see part two.. and maybe 3 and 4.. this would be a great movie. Loved part one.

I know this sounds corny, but It DOES get better. You will meet someone and they will appreciate you and life will be good.
Absolutely! :)
I went through this with a friend years ago. I stayed quiet and suffered. I have moved past it and think in the long run it saved fucking up a good friendship.
Sorry you went through that. Thanks for watching tho! :)
Yes, this painful and scary situation happens all the time and often doesn't go well.
Good flic - there needs to be a follow-up film.
Part 2 coming this summer! 🎬
Well said! :) Thanks for watching!
Insightful!
I came out as gay to my friends. I lost nobody. They supported me, some said they knew. I learned then that REAL friends will stand by you because gay, bi or straight, ur still the same person they have always known.
i came out to my best friend last night over text and he said he didnt mind 🥰
Nice atmosphere and mood. Good camera work and nice performances. I want to see how this turns out!!
Thanks so much! Currently developing this into a feature film! 🎬 However, more shorts like this will come soon! :)
Incredibly impactful. The realistic presentation is incredible. My heart aches. 7:59
Thanks for watching! Part 2 coming this summer! :)

Wow, thnx 4 the reminder of what a gay life is like. Yep, never goes how u hoped, but oddly enough, we shine. Wish more would watch this with open eyes, hearts& minds...not the closed ones they have currently.🥂
I'm in the same situation being in love with my male best friend, but I don't think I'd ever have the confidence to tell him.
A lot of us have been there. Do what’s best for you! :)
Hard to say what you should do... I only know I failed in everything lol But it was in quite different times. I am now 70 and was never happy. Hope you will find your way and be happier that I was.
He was brave. Sometimes, it's tough to be truthful. I hope his friend comes around, and I'm looking forward to the sequel.
this happened to me. I ran after him.. I begged him to talk. he listened. our friendship was saved.
I really hope you do a follow up.😢👏 🏳️🌈
Part 2 coming this summer! 🎬 Thanks for watching! :)

@@barronfilms96 thank you for the update.
Really great acting, I can't wait for part 2, I neeeeeed to know what happens next
This surpassed expectations. The stammering, reluctant way he came out was realistic, as was the reality of the intertwined issues of coming out and his romantic feelings. My only criticism is that, for an 8-minute film, it wasted precious time on goofing around in the pool, walking to the room, etc.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it! And thanks for the insights! :)
Many times I have advised boys who are having homosexual feelings towards one of their best friends, NEVER ever say a word to him about it, unless you know with 100% certainty that he also has similar feelings towards you.
One of the fastest ways to kill a friendship is for one of them to admit they are attracted to the other.
Very well done.. touched the heart. This would be a great movie

Part 2 in the works! 🎬♥️
I had feelings for one of my classmates, I could hardly breathe around him. I never had the courage to tell him how I felt.

Been there, done that! I hope there is a part II soon! Great work! Craig - Australia
Appreciate it! Part 2 coming this summer! 🎬
Those guys r pretty good looking w/o their shirts😍
Adorable and sweet boys. Hard to confess feelings with someone you like . I know how he felt. I was the same way when I was younger but was afraid to say or do anything about it 😢
Great job guys. I would like you o continue this move as I went through the same thing, just 50 years ago.
That's the plan!

That's fine. No problem. He has just found out that his friend is a bit of a jerk.
