I ran across your you tube channel while surfing. I am very happy to have found this video on layering. I seem to have no sense of what goes together. This video has helped me a lot. Thank you.

I just stumbled across your channel (pity I'm a year late...I hope you are still making videos 🤞) I'm ecstatic because the penny has finally dropped. Your words were succinct, your ideas were doable and I wasn't distracted by multicolored fingernails tapping away in the background. I get the rule of thirds with photography but I just didn't get it in journaling for some reason...but you've made things so much clearer for me. I'm almost crying because I'm so inspired. Thank you, thank you, thank you 😊

Wow, Sandra! Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm laughing about the clicking fingernails - I totally get it :) I am still doing videos regularly and am trying not to develop any annoying habits. But don't count me out just yet ha ha!

You'll find your acrylic blocks after you buy new ones. 😄 I love old cigar boxes too...great for storage.

Thank you for this lesson. It was very enlightening. I have been struggling with layering and your rules simplified it and helped me to see where I need to make some changes. The rules have also helped me to see that the things that I feel like are beautiful and balanced that I create seem to follow these rules to some degree.

I would be quite interested in watching you in a future video layer in 3’s from start to finish? I like your concept, your theory and will definitely apply it when I do my next project when I layer my mixed media art project! Thanks again for sharing! 💕

HI, Thebrookedoll! Thank you for your kind comment. I love getting requests for future videos! Can you tell me more about what you mean? (I thought I did do this one from start to finish, but I haven't watched it in awhile) :)

It sure was helpful for me..I’m a beginner in JJ and use different colors on each signature and always thought when seeing other journals, “why do they all look so beautiful?” Now I know the secret👍🏼🌸🌸🌸 Thank you so much‼️

Thanks for this! I've heard of the rule of 3 before but never what it really meant or especially how to follow it. I'm not much of a fan of the vintage, grunge, antique look so I have a difficult time translating what others are doing into the style and design that I want to do. Knowing the "rules" is most helpful so I can learn to apply them to me!
