Great episode. Btw i give RC plastic parts a wd40 bath for about 24h to make the plastics stronger and give them more flex maybe it could also helpt to revive old plastics.@@toyfederation
I like the behind the scenes stuff with a trade filtered in - not the majority of episodes being trades. But there are others who’d prefer the opposite. 😊. Great content.
I didn't read through all the comments to see if this has already been mentioned, but the Steel Brigade v1a backpack should have a cross on the inside (like Airborne's). If yours is hollow that's unfortunately not a v1a. Love this channel by the way, thanks for all of the great toy knowledge and entertainment!
It's amazing how much value people put on molded and painted plastic from certain years. I don't have any money to build a collection, but I am obsessed with having my childhood toys back. I have dreams about shopping for toys, movies and music. Mostly stuff you can't find around where I live. I would have to travel an hour or two to get to a shop.
OMG the WWF figures really took me back. In NZ the only way we could watch WWF big events was on VHS and they would come out months after the actual event, however we never knew the outcomes and it was so exciting. I think the first ever WWF event I ever watched was Wrestlemania IV. Love your content and reminiscing about my childhood again.
I was satisfied with the close ups (this time) lol. Just so u guys know I love this show and I appoligise if I offended anyone previously but was only trying to help u make the show even better. U guys rock.
Wow, they need IBM Watson to come in for inventory tracking and management! That has to be the key to be able to find individual items. Incredible, what's the value of this kind of inventory? I was initially thinking $1M+ but I don't know enough to make an accurate guess.
Heres a trick for ya if you dont want to melt bits with a heat gun, put the part into some boiled hot water, works every time and the part goes back to its original shape ^^ electric kettle for the win
Another trick is to research the part you think is bent.... warthog antennas are supposed to be on an angle....it's how they came. Watching them wreck it was brutal
I genuinely love how thoughtfully that man tried to not say “can u tell me if this is fake?” lol he tip toed around the idea so shyly to avoid the dreaded concept of…”Fake” 😃
i kept all my star wars weapons in the little cases on the mail away bandolier so they would never get lost. 30 years later i found the bandolier in the attic, no weapons.
Ever thought of using like a black light on those accessories loose the original has a different plastic just a thought see if you can tell the difference under a darker versus lighter plastic if there was any difference with black light
Hey Ryan! You ever thought to try a steam gun on the plastics? no chance of burning or melting. temps should be plenty to get plastic soft. only down side if nothing electronic.
I wonder about the long view on an inventory like that. Like, if an owner stopped buying new inventory today, how long would it take to liquidate that gigantic store + back room? That is SO MUCH product!
If your Rattler landing gear was down, and inside out because 10 year old you was in a rush Christmas morning to put it together, you leave it (they wouldn’t retract like that anyway, and if they could the wheel would still be exposed. That toy was unforgiving if put together incorrectly the first time.
My childhood is SCREAMING to grab that tote of Dino-Riders. I was a HUGE fan as a kid and I had most of the sets... unfortunately, they were well loved, played to death with, and were tossed during a move out of state. One of these days I might start collecting them. For now it's super cool to see them in vids like this.
Love these vids...There's also always the websites The Imperial Gunnery and Variant Villian to check on weapon authenticity Its a go to for me for sure to check if they're legit it can be confusing I'll admit lol 😎
Not to be *that* guy, but Prune Face is called Orrimaarko in the modern lines (POTF2 & TVC). Major Panno is a fellow Dressellian rebel with two good eyes and a darker cloak that was released in the Legacy Collection. 😅
All that stock; is it logged on a system or do you just know you've got stuff? Do you list it all on ebay, or, you just wait to sell stuff when the moment is right?
I've been collecting and selling for almost 30 years and I can tell you there are a lot of shady men in this hobby that will pass off these fake/repro accessories as real. I got berated on the Analog Toys page because of saying how bad these repros are for the hobby.
I had the T-Rex Dino-Rider as a kid, infact I had most of the Motu, hasbro wwf, thundercats, ghostbusters., battle-beasts, Tmnt and everything else but not got 1 item left as my step mum told me when I was 16 that I was to old for toys, gutted.
There are no Hasbro Slaughter figures that don't have those spots. They all have them. It's the material it's made of that starts to break down, and it is not contagious.
@@Robert-nu4vc that's not true, i've seen plenty that don't have them...yet - but you're correct it's the material breaking down - and while there's not going to be medical studies performed to figure out how it hops around - yes, folks who have put them in with the ljn wwf figures, have noticed the green spots start to pop up on the ljns fairly soon after. it's not quite the same material, but it is transferrable. the SFTM WCW figures from the 90s can also get it - although i think they switched up what theirs was made of somewhere in that run.
Yeah, I had no clue what that guy was talking about with saying Major Pain 🤣. Guess they were getting the name confused with the Damon Wayans Major Payne movie. But like you pointed out, Prune Face's name is Orrimaarko, and Panno is a completely different character.
Yeah, when it comes to accessories like staffs and such, I'll use a microwave and boil some water in a mug, dunk it (typically goes right back to its default shape), then immerse it in a cup of ice water.
First time I ever saw you with WWF toys. I am a huge LJN WWF collector, and enjoyed seeing you promote the Hasbro MOCs and the Hasbro/LJN Sgt. figure. Do you still have him?🤔
Regarding the fake Star Wars weapons. If the same factory that made them originally still using the same mould and data sheets and make new weapons are they fake? They won’t be vintage but they won’t be fake surely
I know action figures are meant to enhance the physique of an individual, but, let’s be frank, Hasbro were SO GENEROUS to Sarge with his physique! Sarge was built like a fridge with a head, he was not narrow wasted with a barn door back
Holy crap, thats a lot of stuff! So for all you complainers about these guys not paying enough. Look at all the stuff they have and they keep buying stuff. My point is they don't need anymore stuff so ur lucky to get the price offer you get. Or sell it yourself!
"From now on I'm thinking only of me." Major Danby replied indulgently with a superior smile: "But, Yossarian, suppose everyone felt that way." "Then," said Yossarian, "I'd certainly be a damned fool to feel any other way, wouldn't I?"
These are nice episodes, but dont use hot air blower to straighten bent plastic weapons or items. Hot water is many times better. Of course sometimes a blower is better if item that needs treatment is difficult shape or cant be dipped to water. The temperature is much more easy to control and cooling is also easy, just use cold water to do it. The risk with hot air is that you really easily ruin the item with too hot treatment.
Who likes these types of episodes?
These episodes rock!

Glad you like them!
I said the same thing
It’s a common comment! We wish people would leave that comment every Saturday!
@toyfederation we do need more those vintage toy ads during the show tho

I just stumbled on your channel. I am a toy hoarder in my 50’s and wish I had a store like yours around.

Merry Christmas, Ryan, and to the crew at Toy Federation.

Would love to see more M.A.S.K. on a future episode especially after Ryans' "king of M.A.S.K." comment. Love the show!
Great idea!!!!! Toy federation. Your fans are waiting !!
8:31 definitely had those as kid! So cool to see these.
I love the organized chaos in the back! And the amount of stuff is just wild! Thank you for this video guys, Great fun watching from Sweden!❤
Oh wow! Sweden!!
Loved seeing the Dino-Riders! Even if it was just a tad peek at them.
It’s nice to see them actually find a box of stuff in the store room they were looking for.
Damn love seeing carded MOTU in any condition! Every Dino rider?! Wow! Only missing the ice age stuff? Sectaurs is awesome to see complete too

I love seeing all the vintage in the back. It’s everywhere!
It is!
I was expecting that GI Joe accessory to shrivel up like a Shrinky Dink when you hit it with the heat gun. 🤣
Merry Christmas to you and family from our family in Michigan ...also have a Happy New Year
After seeing the back rooms it looks like a healthy mix of fun and sucks to work there! lol
Ouch
Wow, they need IBM Watson to come in for inventory tracking and management! That has to be the key to be able to find individual items. Incredible, what's the value of this kind of inventory? I was initially thinking $1M+ but I don't know enough to make an accurate guess.
I have a lot of Star Wars toys from the 90s remake, don't know if they have any valve.
If it's the 90s Kenner line, not so much. I see them for $10-20 a figure. But some of the monsters and vehicles can go quite a bit higher
Heres a trick for ya if you dont want to melt bits with a heat gun, put the part into some boiled hot water, works every time and the part goes back to its original shape ^^ electric kettle for the win
We don't have a stove at the shop.
You dont need a stove, you buy an electric kettle, and it boils you a full bowl of water in under a minute :)@@toyfederation
Maybe but the heat gun worked nicely!
Another trick is to research the part you think is bent.... warthog antennas are supposed to be on an angle....it's how they came. Watching them wreck it was brutal
Thundercats race to the eye of Thundera. Had it as a kid in the 80's. Was awesome.

Miami Vice playing in the background ❤
Didn't even notice that one, but I did see the zoomed in image of Patrick Bateman's eyes from American Psycho.
Thank you for the weekly video and happy holidays to everyone at the shop!

I found that Slaughter mail away in an antique mall for $25.00 with 20% off 18 months ago.

Never use heat guns to soften vintage plastic. Use boiling water, heat gun can and will destroy plastic, boiling water will never melt the plastic.
We don't have a stove.
You could get a hot plate for like 20 bucks
@@toyfederation can use microwave to boil water, or electric kettle. If you guys have kuerig in shop can use that to just dispense hot water as well.
